Synopsis

Mad Men has shown us the inside of a high-end advertising agency. But what about the agencies that can’t nab marquee accounts? Ad Game explores such a place: Brown Box Blue (BBB), a secondary-market satellite office of a large ad firm.

Instead of big brands like Chevy, American Airlines, and Hilton, BBB’s clients include burn-inducing coffee machines, designer “fashion wings,” and shelf-stable, meat-based taco filling.

Ad Game looks at demanding clients with horrible products, office politics, and the eccentric characters that are part and parcel of the advertising business. This poor man’s Mad Men is seen through the eyes of office newcomer (and washed-up screenwriter) Adam Kilborn.

Moderately funny script and decent production values, but the acting is utterly awful. Really, acting school quality... Not recommended.
