Synopsis

Bear Man is a series which follows the exploits of its titular character. While it is heavily implied that Bear Man is some sort of literal half man/ half bear monster, he is just, in fact, a big guy in various stages of undress, unfamiliar with the protocols of polite society. Initially this series would present Bear Man being confronted by various facets of every day life, set to the narration of the unnamed man who discovered him. While Bear Man struggles, combining equal parts childish innocence and animalistic brutality, the narrator makes clear his intentions of using Bear Man as his own private weapon.

Leighland Beckman

Talent, Writer

Leighland is a comedian and musician who performs filthy songs to shocked and disgusted audiences as the front man of Aural Turpitude, Montreal's dirtiest band. He's also the musical sidekick for two late night talk shows: Life Lessons; and Night Fight, hosted by BEAR MAN director Walter J. Lyng. Leighland very rarely forgets that he is not actually a bear.

I think I may have met this guy before but he had a longer beard and a bigger gut. Somewhere in the wilds of one of our National Parks.

This is hard to rate, because I know it would be funny to see as a one-off. I have to say that I do find the concept to be rather limited, and can't really envision a series being funny after the initial introduction to Bear Man has been played out. Can you imagine Encino Man running four seasons? It just doesn't have legs.
