Synopsis

After a clip of KAY and SERENA on a Japanese gameshow goes viral, the two twenty-something best friends are catapulted to superstardom in Japan. Expecting to be accosted by hordes of adoring fans and paparazzi back home, they return to complete anonymity. When the girls are presented with the opportunity to host their own TV series, they unintentionally submit a racy video that kills any hope of a deal. Down, but not out they begin releasing web videos of their crazy antics and generate enough buzz for a second chance at fame when financial pitfalls hinder their big plans. They frantically try and scrounge together enough money to fly back to Japan and sign their names on the dotted line.

Not an average local comedy. The differences in what different cultures view as success and failure add interest and humour to ordinary situations. I would love to see more.

I would normally vote 7. But since they're right behind me, and I'm Asian, I am oddly compelled to give it a 10.

    There are worse things.
