Stella's mom has her funny moments, but the material doesn't match the sell - I'm not seeing Bridesmaids, I'm not seeing 30 Rock… it's more like a non-political, kind of negative, female rick mercer rant…

I love this idea! And unlike some other posters, I don't see Stella's "attitude" as a negative. Those are the kinds of things we exaggerate for comedy's sake! And think of all the sitcoms that featured teenagers with attitude as characters. Looking forward to seeing more!

Hey Guys! Love the feedback..Just wanted to let you know Dear Stella is a fully realized sitcom script which will be filmed in the mockumentary style of The Office. No its not a monologue. Yes we will meet Stella. See how talented the teenage daughter is. We will see MaryJo at work as a waitress. We will see the school talents shows and embarrassing auditions....etc...etc. I just didn't have the 5 grand it would take to show this all to you in a teaser video so I decided to do a promo video instead. If you like 30 Rock, Modern Family, Gilmore Girls and the Real Housewives of Anywhere....You will like this. If you don't like any of those shows, you wont. thanks for watching!!!

So smart and funny and the concept of the show sounds like a real good idea. Dear Stella is about a mum and a daughter. anyone who has a daughter or a mum knows that is going to work!

I wish I'd been wearing Depends when I watched this. In fact it should have come with a warning. The entire monologue is hilarious but the punch line - best I've ever heard!

The lead actor is very funny/charming. The script could have been tighter--I found myself zoning out a bit, especially when there were celebrity namedrops--I guess I just don't care that much about Ariana Grande and don't think that's funny on its own. Also, will the entire show be just Mary Jo talking to the camera/Stella? That's going to be difficult to sustain for half an hour. I'm assuming there will also be scenes between characters? And the show will be about more than the video leak? More information is all I'd like. Cheers!
