Week #3 The Differentiator Hollywood North

When talking about what makes Hollywood North #BeDifferent, we decided not to mention the obvious such as Evan's Magic Card collection or the fact that Ben once saw Tom Cruise at Starbucks. Instead we went with a more heartfelt and honest approach.

I like that you know what you are selling and you say it straight up. Also, you are funny. And you've been working together for a decade. So we can assume you won't break up.

Not too shabby my friends. I think you can probably bring a new light to this idea and be a little more creative with it as well. Also, production quality definitely needs some more improvement but that is just my opinion. Good luck on the future endeavours.

Interesting concept but will they actually last multiple seasons? Nothing about this show displays any form of originality. Good luck on the show. I dont know if itll get picked up.

I dont know what this show is about... A network like CBC will not greenlight anything that has the potential of being one sided. there needs to be dimensional characters. best of luck though

I like the natural ness of the scenes and jokes you used. Improv is always a better way to go when you have the right chemistry with another actor. That really comes through so well done!

These guys look like they work well together and can feed off each other well. I like the "honesty" and the acting is pretty good. Don't know if I see this on a weekly basis but has potential.

The production quality is good but as far as the comedy and writing goes I'm afraid you enjoyed doing it more than I enjoyed watching it. But Congrats on you guys making it to the 110 and good luck.

Hmmm, seems like you shot that one seen about the bad director and now you are just using all the footage, seems like you had a good time, but that's not telling me about this show. If you guys can write I don't see it.

Hey Forman, you kind of hit the nail on the head. We filmed that segment a while back, and created the show based on it. The problem is we are all in 3 different areas, with one of our guys in Los Angeles right now. We're trying to make due with the footage/resources we have. We did have a lot of fun on the first shoot!

Straight shooters! Dig the chemistry. Don't think there is fuzz when you change channels anymore though. This is coming from a guy who met Jimmy Cameron at Juilliard. Keep up the good work dudes!

The director gives me the creeps, in a good way. Like Ricky Jervais in the office. A cringeworthy lack of self awareness and pompousness.

I've noticed that all your videos are exactly 90 seconds long. I'm not part of the competition, but I'm pretty sure that your filmed footage just needs to be 90 seconds long and then comedycoup information you stick on at the beginning and end of your video doesn't actually count for time. Just in case you guys make it further in the competition this would add about 7 seconds or so to what you can work with. Might allow you to throw in a couple more jokes even. Good luck with the competition!

Thanks Alina! We are really proud of the characters. It's hard to show their full depth in such short videos. Hopefully we advance so we display more :)

Can you use this line a director gave me last week... " Sarah, the sun is moving!"
omfg... I am a DP, thanks, thanks for telling me the sun is moving while I try and flag a scene now that you have waited 1.5 hours to shoot it because you didn't have permission in the first place to be in that location... and now, you want are in a rush for 5 minutes, and are yacking at me that the sun is moving infront of the entire cast and crew. Thanks. WTF!!???

    Use it use it!!
