Synopsis

House of Commons is a sketch comedy show that revolves around the home of Alexisonfire's George Pettit and his comedian wife Megan. Episodes include interactions around the Pettit's dining room table, where ideas and trash talk are freely exchanged with Ben Rispin, of the Juno nominated Saint Alvia Cartel, newcomer Adam Price and Night of the Live Dead Live co-creator, Phil Pattison. The dynamic amongst the group members draws you in and then carries you into the literal interpretation of the table's madness; sketch comedy. The sketches range from the lighthearted to the absurd and include many of the group's musician friends. Welcome to our house.

Benjamin Rispin

Director, Writer

Coming from the Juno nominated punk outfit Saint Alvia, Ben found a love for video production mentoring under award winning director Davin Black.
Having dozens of producer and director credits to his name, Ben has worked with notable acts such as Walk Off The Earth and Monster Truck.

Megan Pettit

Writer, Talent

Megan Pettit is a stand-up comedian and writer based out of Hamilton. She has performed at NXNE and Huffington post named her twitter account as one of the top 20 female twitter accounts to follow.

George Pettit

Talent, Writer

-Singer of the band Alexisonfire for 11 years.
-Co-creator and host of the long form interview program called Strange Notes on the AUX television network.
-Secretly filming sketch comedy with his wife for the last year.

The folks involved seem like they could do something funny, but in the clips, they don't give us much of an idea what it might be
