What do you get when you mix 2 parts water, 1 part romantic and 5 parts foolish? Jake's Lemonade
View ProjectJake's Lemonade is an episodic comedy that breaks the traditional rules of television. One 30-minute episode consists of 3 entirely different episodes and each episode has its own story. The only consistent character in every episode is Jake. This concept originated with the idea of keeping our stories short and sweet, so anyone at anytime can tune in and follow along.
Fave 23 Views 223You guys are so damn sweet and eager I want you to be on our show! Great videos and great ideas and some of it is really fun but you sell us and yourself short to say that we can't watch more than short youtube vids. You guys are entertaining enough. Build the laughs. Just make sure you tell a good solid story.

Jake's baby face is what will make the girls not look away and I think the actions of Jake are what will keep the guys interested. I wish this team luck and votes!
This is hilarious! You made me laugh. I loved the characters specially Jake. He's one funny dude with all the situations he's getting in. I would like to see more of this. I don't know where all this would lead in the next video, but I have enjoyed it all. Good luck!
I really enjoyed watching your week 3 vid. I haven't seen a lot of videos where the people involved are actually having a conversation with the camera, you can see the passion and excitement that you have for your characters and you answered the question directly :)
This has a very interesting premise for sure. Way to address the need for immediate satisfaction in the world of social media. No matter where this goes you need to have a youtube channel and do it anyway. It`ll be awesome.
I really like your concept and I love the idea of 3 different shows in one with different stories. You guys are funny and charming and I think that says something! Best of luck you guys in Top 50!
The 3 shows in one but with the same guy got an funny premise. So 3 different stories and funny stuff happening. Jake is pretty dopey to follow
Jake`s a very funny character, hope to see ya`s make it to the top 50 and see what else is in store for Jake. The punch in the face was CLASSIC
I like the story
I like the concept with little vignettes. Reminds me of Mr Bean!
I like the story, and Jake is absolutely adorable. I wonder if three episodes within a show might be a bit much, however? Would even two be considered? I was giggling throughout, so you're all doing something great. =) <3
Hey Jake you little smoothy. I think your a funny guy and with the right stories that can carry over a whole 1/2 hour you should have a hit. Good luck with the rest of the competition.
I think you have a good idea with the short story episodes. Quick to the punchline.
Very funny content with a lot to offer I must say this is my favorite, how you guys blend storytelling with comedy is awesome. Keep up the great work.
You guys are a good team. That was good acting for the guy that knocked the girl out. I think it is a good idea that the episodes would be different from the others. Good luck in the competition!
I think that having multiple episodes could be good, partially because people will watch multiple episodes of a series on netflix all the time, but are you worried that they'll change the channel after they've seen the first of the three in an episode?
The video is quirky and cute. It made me laugh which surprised me because I hate to laugh.
Funny set-ups and deliveries, and good pacing. Everyone has a friend like Jake, who nothing goes right for, so we can all relate on some level. Why is it called, "Jake's Lemonade?" Is it like drinking someone's Kool-Aid?
The energy is great and Jake is a fun character but I'm thinking we've seen this type guy before and does this concept hold up to a 1/2 hour show or a web series?
I like Jake and the concept and focus proposed make sense to me..... Looking forward to more.
I found this video quite well done and funny. I would like to add that I personally prefer watching a TV series that keeps with a story that can be followed in a 22 minute time frame. Having a show go for the whole 22 minutes is what keeps you watching to find out what happens after the commercial breaks. If the show is basically 3 different sketches in one episode, what's to really keep me around since I already got to the conclusion of the first sketch so why sit and watch ads when I can flip to something else? I feel that you guys could definitely make this into a single sketch 22 minute show and it would probably be beneficial for your TV ratings overall. Good luck with the competition!
I thought this was a giant leap from your second video! I was expecting the same but I was blown away. The punch to the face is classic! More like that! - Shirts
I have been following this project from the beginning as I think Jake is a guy that could truly exist. There is a "Mr.Bean" like quality to what you are pitching here. I'm not sure that this was the best video you have, but it's not turning me off from following your project.

Like I mentioned to Sharon, I too believe that most people have the attention span to watch a thirty minute episode today however as time goes on more people will turn towards the internet for entertainment. Having shorter episodes will allow us to still share them online after they have aired to different audience that may not have seen the show on television. This will also allow our audience to share their favourite scenes with friends and family.
In a world where everyone's looking for a a quick, funny video, I'm glad you guys are using that to influence the style of this show!
This is different. I like the idea that the skits are all about Jake. However, I think that most of us do have the attention span to watch a thirty minutes show.

It's actually a great idea... And you actually showed what makes it different. I'm pleased with this.
Being relatable is funny!
