Sounds like it could get a bit more raunchier than I normally watch but you know what- bring it! this sounds like a very amusing concept and I want to see more and more.

That was some sweet trailer. Lots of footage, well cut, gives you an superb sense of the show. Little adult for prime time but funny for sure.

I have been to the East Coast, Alberta and lived in Toronto and I feel this video nails the stereotypes of the hick Maritimers, the stuckup Torontonians and the "Get rich quick" migration to Alberta.

What a talented cast! And talented writers, too! :-) Despite all the comparisons to Trailer Park Boys, Bob & Doug McKenzie, etc., these guys have really distinguished themselves. And if you are offended by raunchy humor, then please watch something else! And hey, if it bothers you that PEI locals are portrayed as "stunned arseholes" then just remember there are plenty of those all around the world, so don't take it personally. :-) Stunned arseholes can be really funny no matter what country/province/state/city/etc. they are from! Just be glad Rob Ford has never been the mayor of Charlottetown. Hahahahaha!

Those uber thick accents you speak of Art are actually the ones we are born with how is it you would like us Islanders to speak exactly ?

    shane's Photo
    shane b. 3  posted 10 years ago

    Art,
As an Islander I can tell you that Merry Timers love self deprecating humour... a quality I find sadly lacking in certain other provinces that shall go unnamed... the accents are self parody... some Islanders do sound pretty much like the Just Passing Through boys but the show exaggerates the patois for effect, Yes it's a stereotype but it's friggin' funny! We're allowed.. it's our culture and we're free to love and mock it at the same time... that's the joke.

    Jeremy's Photo
    Jeremy L. 4  posted 10 years ago

We are all about the uber thick accents, Art! If we make the top 50 we will make a formal apology for setting the country back 30 years to 1984.

@ChadH. Well the intelligence bar has been set pretty low on this comedy, just saying. As a fan of comedy It'd be great to have something refreshing represent this country instead of the usual campy Canadiana that has dominated the TV: TPB, Corner Gas, Bob and Doug. Beer and hockey low brow schlock. Time for a sea change... so yes, it is a big "UGH" all caps.
