Thanks for the comment! We think there is no issue with the GATN story being spread over multiple seasons. As long as people want it, we will have content for them. There are countless life experiences that are worth sharing with a TV audience. Mix in a Ninja and now those experiences become something else entirely. With the ability to combine these experiences with other fantastical elements (when desired), we can't see when/where GATN would have to end.

This was taking during the first shoot we did for this video, ended up reshooting a few shots the next day and the fog was so amazing that we couldn't help but reshoot the entire wizard battle.

Bad ass wizard

Bad ass wizard

This is a frame from a shot that was taking out of the film for timing reasons. We filmed a great deal of extra footage for the Wizard battle just incase.
This is also on the second day we shot, notice the fog? It was also about 8 am, and shorty after this a man jogging came around a corner to witness the wizard chanting and casting a spell.....he ran like a sissy :)

It is refreshing to see you guys in this as the underdogs who seem to be able to put forward what seems like the best overall program of the competition. Nice job and hope to see CBC have you in the top 15.

Thanks Chris! We spent most of this brainstorming stage trying to balance what we wanted to explain and what we wanted to show! I think that was the most challenging part of the Differentiator mission and we are grateful that people seem to appreciate the way we juggled it. It's tough to tell what kind of response we will get until the video is out there so we are thankful for the positive reaction.

I thought this video was really creative. You mention that it will be a mix of Geoff's world and the Ninja's world and I enjoyed how it showed both aspects in this trailer as a tease into the Ninja world and also the humor you added to the characters realizing they were a TV show and leading into describing the mission, very well executed this week! I want to see more!

What I like best about your videos so far is that they stick to the theme of a prime time television show.

Many of the other videos are borderline appropriate in their content and language and I think if they won the slot they would have to adjust their script and ideas quite a lot and the end product may not turn out as viewers and voters had anticipated in the end. What you see is what you will get with this!

Thanks Kara! You might be biased, but you speak the truth! We're striving to produce content that is both funny and edgy, and wouldn't need to compromise for prime time TV. We want our viewers to feel confident that what they see here will the same as what they would get next year.

I thought it was clever how you went about answering this weeks mission statement in your video. I don't quite understand how the wizard comes into play though. Hi Christina, thanks for the great feedback! In general, yes - you are absolutely correct. But one thing we haven't had much chance before now to show is that Ninja also brings a trail of fantastical elements with his arrival. Geoff's life becomes a balance of daily peculiarities of having a ninja roommate, while sometimes finding himself in bizarre situations he never thought possible! We want these characters and events to be exciting and special, not predictable "villain of the week" scenarios like other shows have done in the past. Thanks again for the comment!

you nailed that "live action cartoon fantasy meets reality" concept, however the execution needs some work. Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead... archer- they all had an immediate curiosity in it's simplicity that this lacks. Geoff and the Ninja needs some work, or maybe I'm not stoned. Either way its a bit too niche for most in my opinion, but keep refining, and gives some laughs!

Nope! It's more of a fantasy element than science fiction, though there's plenty of that as well (see: Ninja making healing ball of energy in our trailer). Also check out our poster we released a couple weeks ago with a sneak peak of the wizard himself!

The concept behind GATN has always been that he brings a crazy, fantastical world to Geoff's mundane life, and we explore the trials and tribulations of Geoff trying to cope with it all. As the competition continues we'll have more and more opportunity to show off these elements!
