What makes OFFLINE stand out? We're tearing down the walls between scripted and reality; between digital delivery and conventional television. We're thinking outside of the box! But here's someone who likes to go Inside the Box: Meet OFFLINE's first competitor Adam, from Edmonton, AB. Adam loves to unbox EVERYTHING!
Fave 15 Views 272Hey everybody! We cranked out a little "extra credit" video this week for OffLINE, starring our official web correspondent, Mikey McBryan!

I like the idea, and I like this guy's timing. He's funny.I would totally watch a few videos online.
Would I watch a full 30 minutes? I'm not convinced, but I look forward to seeing more.
Character was great and the open box addiction was funny, not sure if it funny enough though to make the top 50 with the tough competition out there
Love this concept! Good luck with it. I hope it goes far. I think Adam is hilarious. Quite a find. I hope to see more characters in other videos!
i love macaroni!
I think that, for me, my favourite part of this video was opening up the box it was in so I could watch it. The joy of finding a video in a box was palpable.
Now I have to figure out why videos are in random boxes, because that is weird.
Adam is awesome, very awesome video. The casting of him is perfect! The macaroni un boxing could be the next big thing! The flash Backs ad depth and work perfectly!!!!!

allright I'm saying this with complete constructive criticism and nothing less of that. I think you need a little more to go with here. Its just a little bit slower in comparisons to some of your compitiion. Original idea of course but if you wanna be number one then id say we need a little more excitement then a box within another box within another box.. fair :) anyways good luck
So this would be thinking inside the box. Not to be confused with thinking outside the box. Quite funny actually. Will this be a series of shows exploring boxes of all shapes sizes and contents. quite the imagination
Loved it! I definitely find it original and very funny. Keep up the awesomeness. :)
I guess I'm a bit foggy on what makes this different than unboxing videos on youtube. The differentiator video actually made it seem less different...
I appreciate this work - pretty dece !!
"I can stop anytime I want, it's not an addiction or anything," eh? Haha What do you think of bags, though? Or containers? Buckets? I want to know more!
As humour is a personal thing I judge a project as to whether I believe it can appeal to a wide enough CBC audience base to attract more than a niche market commercial sponsor and with evidence of potential to generate a weekly series worth of material. Good luck but it’s not for me.
"I'm not addicted or anything; I can stop at anytime" NOT!! Curious to see what you guys do next because that was funny!!
Interesting concept. It's like YouTube going back to it's roots, which of course is America's Funniest Home Videos. Except this time it's Canadian.
I enjoyed the feel of the video, very interested to see how the concept is stretched and pushed out! The range is almost limitless with this approach.
Really like the idea for this project. Looking forward to seeing more content in the next couple of weeks!
At first I was like "How is this a show???" And then i watched Meet the Team, and I was like "What is going on???" ...This is either really smart, or just another skit show. Box guy is funny. …How is this a half hour show again?
Awesome! I love the character. :)
boxes, great subject matters. hilarious. as a society we do box everything… then have to recycle the boxes, then reuse them. my favourite, boxed taco shells
I wish there was a bit more time for you guys to show us your concept. I think its a great original idea. I would love to see more of your contestants. This could easily be a series that was fresh and different every week. This has dynamic potential.
Good luck guys!
Love the video guys I was laughing right from the pasta bit, I'm not sure what makes you different but it sure was funny and I like that !!
The concept seems funny enough but I felt more confused than anything after watching this video. Also the idea of having people submit videos doesn't make this an original show in my opinion.
I like that this is a TV series that grasps online culture. I found it super funny. I wonder if a challenge may be reaching those holdouts who aren't as web-humour savvy.
I found this video confusing... obviously it's a really 'differerent' sketch, but I dont see how it relates to us the audience deciding why you are different enough to be put on prime time tv? I also didn't find it very funny either, so maybe just step up the joke factor in your next mission? If not, I dont see you guys making top 15 :(
I'm under the impression that this is one of the apparent videos you have taken offline to be a part of your series? I just don't really understand how this concept makes you guys unique as other shows have done this. In particular there is that show Tosh.0 which uses internet viral videos on their show. I think it was actually on comedy central and is actually still running now. It would have been great if this video would have explained to me how your show is not like this one or the numerous others that are out there. Good luck with the competition!
Hi Christina! Thanks for the feedback. While we may share similar themes to Tosh.0, OFFLINE is a significantly different show... have a look at our week one video and synopsis for clues, and hopefully that clears up any confusion. :)
That was funny! Nice slow build as you realize this guy is obsessed (and then the closer line just SLEW me!). I love the "DRAMATIZATION" bits where it's some guy dressed like Adam but NOT. I laughed pretty hard at the "Box inside a box inside another box" bit. Nice pacing, editing. Good quality video, looks professional, like you'd see on HGTV or something like that. Great character, great build. Bravo!
This is absolutely hilarious. It's weird too, in the very best way. TV needs more funny and weird. Can't wait to see what comes next when you make it into the Top 50.
Good job, keep up the terrible work!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed... there's a lot more to come. :)
Okay as a one off, but wondering how it would be sustainable as a series.
