Synopsis

Ivan is a woeful dreamer. Unsatisfied with his mundane life in a call centre, he joins a Dungeons and Dragons campaign with four esoteric young adults who also seek distraction from their disorderly lives.

The five new friends quickly find their lives entangled as their real-life problems seep into the imagined world that unfolds at the game table each week.

Ivan, a pawn at his office job, but in-game, he's a powerful wizard and able to freely explore the ideals that many ridicule him for in real life. While Peter, the Dungeon Master, actively diverts from his dark past by facilitating the game and giving others a chance to be heroes.

I don't know the game you are playing in this show. Thus, I did not understand the jokes. I am not sure if people who don't know all these characters would like this. I did like the overlay graphics. That was a cool idea. I'll check back next week.

Great concept for a short film! I think to take it further it would need to become quite a big production. I wouldn't be satisfied with sketch drawings after 10 minutes.

While the idea of a show about nerdy-folk has been used to the point that most people would not enjoy the thought of picking it up, much like a sneezed in tissue, THIS show has a very different approach! It's not about a bunch of super awkward recluses, or geek stereotypes, or an obvious ripoff; it's about people who seem to be ACTUAL, REAL ROLL-PLAYERS! I spelled that that way on purpose. Use it if you like, but tell me if it's someplace awesome. Anyway, they aren't being all "aksjgfldkhakjhfdsjhaksjhfsjgdjkakfjsdn00bieswannabepickin'fightswitusIRAISETHESHEILDOFHASDASKDA!" "*snert* *pushes up glasses* Nyaah, it's ineffective! Gasfkja of LAKJsad, the KAJSH takes ellebenty-seven damage to his kidney, passes a stone! Chocoboron the Dread Weeaboo, what do you do?" "Nyan! I's take my magical ubersugoi wand-u of kawii and shoot rainbows at them! My waifu Haruhi gives me smexy makeouts desunyan~!"

As a dysfunctional member of society who loves tabletop gaming, I can totally identify with this (hell, is there anyone "normal" who plays these games?). I dig the art style, though I'd love to see a little bit of animation [I know, it takes a ton of extra work and can be expensive, but even a tiny bit used right could be worth it].
