View ProjectAmidst the dulcet sounds of Quebec singing superstar France D'Amour, Paul and Mike open a mysterious crate.
Fave 34 Views 993Great video! I have an intense fear of clowns. So I am totally ok with them being locked inside a box. Way to rep MTL!

What better to make a series about Rock and Roll. This one has real comedy potential. These two guys are cream of the crop or just cream in general all over the place
J'adore cette gang. Vous avez un bon concept avec des artists en studio. Plus de Québécois sur le CBC
Ok
Expensive looking microphone. I think that I'd watch you show for a few weeks until you jumped the shark - and you will, I'm sure. The clown bit is sketch comedy material - not sitcom...
I think your concept is quite wonderful. Actually recording artists is a great idea. And the sound you capture will be high fidelity, which is awesome.
Great loved it from start to finish, everything was exceptional about this. I love videos, I love comedy and I love this sooooo much. All the best and best of luck in this glorious competition!!!!!!!
The idea of having actual recording artists is pretty cool. I hope that you can get coast to coast singers and not only local ones. Great talent out there waiting to be discovered and if your show can do that and be funny, I hope you guys make it.
Mike Paterson - capital YES all the way dude.
I love you guys, I love the idea of you guys in a show together, and this video itself was EXTREMELY funny and well done. Here's the thing, I HATE music breaks in my TV shows. So please, please, drop this angle. You guys are different enough already.
This was a very nice attempt to set yourselves apart from the rest of the field. It's sometimes difficult to explain what distinguishes oneself from others but you have done a good and funny job here. Keep up the funny, guys!
Im such a fan of Mike Paterson, i hope you get to the top 15! I like the chemistry between both of you, looks good on video.
bad records.. seems like the only place i could ever get a record deal with my voice hehehe.. but i do really like your approach to this contest, your videos always have a new and unexpected direction and its always a fun surprise
Coodos for Montreal!
"It's just a clown" "Isn't it kinda weird there's only ONE?" ;-) That scene is very funny. I like the writing! Love the blend of real-world musicians visiting your funny fantasy land show. Makes for a broader audience engagement and it's also just plain fun to see this mashup on screen. Definitely curious to see more from this team!
We know a lot of musicians and the others we'll just make up!
Very entertaining. Love that you have included Canadian music with your show. Makes me wonder about the situation you'll create with Burton Cummings, Blue Rodeo or Barney Bentall. Love the naive dopey guys too.
Absolutely!
You guys are very fun to watch. Your Hype It video is definitely the best one so far but this one is great also. Hope to see you guys in the next round of fifteen. Cheers.
Though I am irrationally afraid of clowns, I did find this clip funny! Maybe a bit of over-acting going on, maybe that's the point though, anyways, it was still enjoyable. The singer is super cute too!
Overacting is the only kind of acting I do!
There are dynamic duos in comedy and then there are dynamic duos! I love the chemistry with these two guys and love the concept of the show.
This is the first time Paul and I have worked together and I am loving the chemistry. He is so wiry and tiny and I am so muscular and full hair headed!
Congratulations on making it to the Top 110 and I good lucking on making it to the Top 15!! I liked it a lot! Cheerios!
Yep. I can see this show on CBC.
Congratulations and best of luck on your videos and missions. You have completed mission number three and that is done.
Nicely presented video. The clown sketch was very funny. I also really enjoyed listening to the song playing in the background, was quite relaxing with a nice cup of tea.
France D'Amour is a real superstar who is awesome and has many albums! That song "fait" is on the album "en amour majeur!"
Get your bilingual on!
I really enjoyed that there was a girl singing in your video! I liked that there were some witty jokes, and a different language was included in the film. This can make it easier to branch out to different audiences. Great film
I enjoyed this video! The girl singing sounded awesome! Loved the suspense of the crate and was left wondering what is going to happen next. I also thought the filming and editing was great! Good luck in the competition!
Really hope your project takes home the gold. I'm a definite sucker for a clown. I can't wait to see everything you guys have to offer. Best of luck :-)
Really enjoying the French element involved, not to mention the witty jokes. Really enjoyed watching that! I hope I get to see more videos from you guys :)
Montreal has some serious talent! Keep up the good work. You guys are weird and I love it. I liked the production value, and it looks like there was a lot a work put into the final product. Keep the funny coming!
I wasn't sure where this was going and I don't know the singer though she seemed great. There's funny hahaha; funny strange; this was funny weird for me. I'm sure there's a demographic who will love it.
Unfortunately this is not very funny. using a francophone singer would probably limit this projects marketability. But good luck to you!
Great concept of bringing in a known singer and integrating her in to the narrative. Always love me a good mystery box as well. Great produciton value and editing. I know that I can always count on Mike Patterson to make me laugh!
Interesting concept and execution. Well done and enjoyed the clown's part too. Funny!
Mike Patterson is hilarious. I would watch him do anything.
This has a lot of potential to have some great comedic cameos in it. The boys and I are digging what you guys are doing. Keep it up! - SHIRTS
An interesting array of characters. Love the clown'S understanding of non-verbal communication. From artful thumping to squeaking. Good use of crate, too.
This is definitely different. The recording artist is a great idea. Really fun show.
This was terrific. High quality in all aspects from technical to performance. Love what this show could be and hope that you produce it and I get to watch it.
Way to go bad records ! love the concept, acting and everything about this show ! Good luck
Bad!!! You have me hooked! I would defo watch this show. Clown trafficking is funny! Could see this one going further into social commentary with that theme.
Hoping you guys get to top 50!
I'm wondering if you plan on having musicians who are staple characters? Will they all be playing themselves or will there be fictional musicians too?
There would be a hybrid of actors playing musicians and actual musicians, so that viewers are never sure what they are getting. TV can be so predictable, we are going to change that. And we'd never use a band just for their fame, it would always be about using great bands who are great on camera.
It will be very challenging using real musicians in your show, they can't act, it puts some severe limits on what type of characters and plots you can generate, but hey sometimes problems can lead to brilliant solutions. Hope that's the case for you guys
I ove Paul Spppence!
Soooooo fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyy!
Anything with music, comedy and a recording studio in it is cool by me. Good luck from Scratch Tracks.
Good stuff! The editing is toight, real toight.
I love it! Looks super fun to watch and I love the use of Canadian music. Nice work.
Wow this was great LOL the weird clown in a box freaks me out you guys are hilarious hope I get to see more from Bad Records !!!
France D'Amour is hot and clowns are scary - everything else is just plain old funny!
ha ha friggin ha! youse guys are friggin sweet!
This is the best of all the shows out there. I don't have any affiliation with the show producers so I am completely unbiased. I still believe this is the best show and you shouldn't waste any of your time watching anything but this.
Hi Guys! Love the idea of following a recording studio around especially in Quebec. You could have some interesting guests. The sound is perfect and Paul is funny. Not much said about it being different, other than being different. Great way to show case Canadian talent and looking forward to seeing more of the funny!
Think it's great how you guys have the guests interact and play along with your story line. Keep it up fellas
I liked this one. I'd never heard of France D'Amour, but I looked her up and she's a really big star in Quebec. She's cute and she has a great voice. And she can act! I love the line at the end. WHATS THAT SOUND!!
Great video! I have an intense fear of clowns. So I am totally ok with them being locked inside a box. Way to rep MTL!
Mike, you're amazing! I can't wait for this to ramp up, just like i can't wait for your next standup show.Montreal deserves this kinda talent!
I can watch Mike Patterson forever.
That was so funny!!! Want to see more of this show for sure!!!
I didn't follow the train of thought in this film, or the purpose of the joke about the clown trafficking ring. I appreciated the clown's appearance as a healthy and non-frightening clown though.
Amazing as always guys :) now get rid of that clown and fast... pissed off French woman you don't want LOL
I'm worried about the trafficked clowns, and am at the edge of my seat to find out more!
Hey you guys!!! Really rooting for you on this project!! I would honestly want to watch this show!!
Dom - YARNS
Dude! We've been following Yarns from the get go here at Paterson House! The Arsehole Fairy has really captured our imaginations here!
Clowns making me laugh instead of haunting my dreams! Thanks bad records for making the impossible possible! Funny vid, interested to get more of a sense of what this show will look like
So much talent! Good Job! Good Vibe! Good Concept!
The best video so far. Loved Paul's clown joke. Looking forward to what Bad Records comes up with next. Keep me laughing.
I was really enjoying the song. But the two guys being totally distracted by the box was interesting enough and funny enough to keep me entertained and eager to know what was in the box. Great work, I'd like to see more and I really like the shows overall concept!!!
Enjoying watching all your 3 videos ! though competition here, so best of luck, though i have no doubt that you will make to the top 50
I have no doubt that you guys will make to top 50 ! keep the good videos coming !
I have always been enjoying your video since your teaser ! Very good team and funny concept. Good luck
The video was pretty good. I don't get the clown bit. Reminds me of the gimp.
Hmmm, this has me curious. Cool looking Characters. Look forward to seeing where this is going.
Mike Patterson is SO entertaining!! In fact - I think he might be the most electifying entertainer of his generation!! These videos are proof to his and his co-creators creativity. I would be so happy to be able to watch him every week !!
Can't wait to see more from you guys!
I enjoy the concept of your show, but I hope that it would mostly be about the two music recording guys since I don't find listening to someone sing music as very comedic for a comedy show. In my opinion your third video is by far the best, I found your first video a little bit more gross than funny with the dentistry sketch. Good luck guys!
I got some big laughs from your video...Again! Definitely one of my favourite teams. - Shirts
That clown! haha
You have some great on screen chemistry and dialogue. We'll done guys and looking forward to seeing you on screen soon!
always enjoy ur video from mission one. you guys r really funny and creative
good luck
That was amazing. I love this concept - where you can invite canadian bands/performers onto the show. Hope you guys make it!
I really like you guys ! i hope you guys will go to top 50 ! much better actors and concept many of the other ones out there !
keep up the good work guys !
Laughed out loud when the clown popped out! Too good. The set up was great; I really thought something freaky was going to be in there. Keep it up y'all! You got me!
