Synopsis

DANGER! SEDUCTION! DESPERATION! FOOD?!
"Cooking with Heat" is a mad-cap, character driven comedy that follows the trials and tribulations of Heat Vander, a washed-up pop-star yearning to re-ignite his career, and Sheldon Nickles, an over-the-hill master chef with a bad temper, crap luck, and worse decision making skills. Now, from rock bottom, they are getting one last shot to shine, forced to work together on a cheap cable cooking show. The network is praying it'll do anything for their ratings, except Heat is a hyper-sexual, party-idiot who can't cook and Sheldon is a self-pitying, rage-filled bag of failure. Actually, this just may be a recipe for love. Or destruction. Let's just see.

It looks like it has potential. Makes me think of a cross between "Brüno" \ BBC's 1993-'96 comedy "Chef!"\BBC's " Floyd on Spain".

    Sure, I'll bite.

My honest opinion is that this is good for a 5 minute sketch, not a half hour. 'Heat' needs to dial it back.

It's got good character conflict it seems, but it just doesn't reel me in.
