WKRP in Cincinnati meets The Office. A small town radio station full of big city egos.
View ProjectThe ladies of Dead Air make their appeal to keep Dead Air alive.
Fave 23 Views 631Once again, this project is easily in my top 5 favourites. You've mentioned that the small town setting is a big part of the appeal; I'm hoping to see it emerge as almost it's own character as things move forward. The types of personalities that come out of the woodwork in small towns are often amazing and I hope to see you folks get a chance to explore them/show them to the world!

This is a great idea and premise. Production quality stands head and shoulders above the rest. Hope to see this one make it thourhg to the next round!
Best wishes to the top 55 contestant winners and congratulations on having your efforts recognized in this CBC Comedycoup contest. Good Luck to those making the top 15.
Nice work dead air team! I feel like each week your videos are getting stronger and stronger. You guys seem like you've got real chemistry. Keep it up!
All three people are very funny on their own, but from these little tidbits of them working together are fantastic. I'd like to see more of them on screen at the same time, and the setting of a go-nowhere radio station seems like a great place to do it in.
...Working together, I mean.
Holding your show up in comparison to WKRP takes a lot of confidences, which is a must in. this type of competition. If the laughs you generate are commisserate with the your self-belief, you'll do fine!
Not too cheezy, but quite creamy hehehe. I like the strong, recognizable actress appeal and find what I saw to be well written and believable. Sure hope you get the chance to go further with this as you rise through the rounds to the top. Best of luck to you on the quest to the top, with Dead Air!
Funny cast!! It takes extra talent to perform on radio, which I'm waiting to see if you will perform some more air time scenes, no visual props. Not that you have to, I am just curious about how you might do that. Lots of fun to be seen and heard here, best of luck.
Great potential, love the dog! A small town radio station is a fascinating setting to position dynamic, interesting characters with a broad range of unusual and funny situations. Good luck!
Great work – looks like this project has a lot of potential to make it to the top 15. Looking forward to your week 6 submission!! The actresses have natural comedic timing.
As a fellow Peterborough-based participant, I've been following this one all along and I'm pleased to see that the videos keep getting better. While I'm still not positive what the visual style of the actual show would be at this point, the characters have definitely started to emerge at this point -- and this particular video has a much more polished presentation. I hope the team makes it forward so they can continue on this trajectory and we can really see Dead Air come to life.
I think the good thing about this project is that it creates an easy entry for various comical characters. I don't know if I would say that small town radio stations are where careers go to dye - but I do think they are where careers both start and end.
Quite the competition from the east to the west coast and such an excellent group of participants makes it hard to pick just 15. I hope CBC gives you each a coffee mug or something for getting to the top 55. Best wishes to all.
The ladies are really funny and really good comic actors. Liked this video a lot. I think I would check this out. But I don't know about the visual potential of a radio show. Could be a vehicle for some good stories and some funny situations. Good luck.
I agree. This is a great pitch and I look forward to seeing it in the top ten! Way to go! Great to see Linda Kash again! She's amazing! I have my fingers crossed for you guys!
I was never big on WKRP but I like the potential of your concept a lot. Chemistry seemed good in the clip and I expect big things moving forward. Good luck!
This video did a great job of explaining what the series is about while also delivering some laughs. Well done guys, this was a great hype video!
Hey Kyle B! Thanks for commenting!
Well the final hours of the vote to get to the next level are approaching now so it is up to the voters now to get you there. Best wishes to you for success and nice work on getting through to the top 55 for all those able who were able to get that far.
When i realized the cream cheese connection I lost my mind. Seriously though, Radio is one of my favorite mediums and i cant wait to see a comedic take on the background workings!
Well developed characters and great acting. There's definitely some big potential here. Good luck making the top 15!
you guys are funny with good, original lines. like the setting but kinda tired of loser characters on tv but that's just me. your sell sheet with black on red is very hard to read so as a journalist I'm skipping over it.
Seems like a natural sense of good humour among the group. You did focus on the purpose of this segment. Liked it.
Good Job Guys keep it up and you'll be top 15 for sure!!!! Really funny stuff! Can't wait to see more!
Love the talking heads guys! Really funny! Your acting is spot on. I haven't seen this concept explored before so I hope you guys make it to the top! Good luck!
Neat premise, but the sheet is way too hard to read. Very strong entry and hilarious, but needs a bit of improvement.
Strong acting. The humor puts the 'b' in subtle. Love the facial reactions to one another.
Polished timing and delivery, where many other entries seem amateurish - definitely could see this on TV.
funny concept but your sell sheet was too hard to read i had to go and get my glasses grrrr lol but the video this week was really good and helped explain what the concept is going to be. i feel like i have a pretty good sense of the show now. well done.
As a fan of the movie Pontypool, I see some (vague) similarities here that have me interested. I appreciate a good voice and I can hear that this has that. Also, as somebody from a rural area I'm sure it'll be amusing to hear what comes up as "news."
I am a fan of the blonde girl acting , she makes me laugh a lot. This last video was good . i wanted to see more of the male character i think that he brings a lot. good luck for you guys , hope you ll make it to the top 15

I like the project, the way the video keeps moving and the talent. Good premise, different setting and ripe with a lot of comic potential. This is worth a top 15, in my opinion.
I like this concept and I like that it's not "in your face" comedy. I mean I can see how it will be humorous without you slapping it in my face. Nice work!
the setting is really adding a lot to the motion of this picture. perhaps including a bit more musical and graphical effects can help you guys go a long way
A good hype video. A show about small town radio could definitely make top 55 for sure. Keep it up ladies and germ(s).
I'd be interested in seeing a show about small-town radio. I think your hype video for this week was pretty good =)
While I liked it and thought it was good and informative. It wasn't my favourite still. Maybe I'm on the fence here a little bit but I wasn't hyped or anything of that sort. Hopefully you can still make it to the top 15 despite!
Very entertaining, I can see this show developing nicely.
This is the strongest of all your videos. It really gives a sense of exactly what the show is and I would be excited to watch it...If I weren't in a position where I have to crush you, fellow Peterborough team. Actually, if anything, this makes me realize we have to crush you more.
This weeks video has created hype for me about your show. I love the energy of the show and thing the story line has lots of potential. Small towns always are a great setting and are such a part of our Canadian culture. Best of luck to you. Hope to see you in the top 15!
I find these three to be compelling personalities. Easy to watch, comfortable and funny. I think there could be lots of great stuff from them. All the best as they continue forward.
This pitches the show very well while being funny. It’s so cool to see a project out of Peterborough!
looks good!
I think the two lady characters are funny. I thought it was funny with it showing the ladies leaning into kiss until the microphone interrupted them. The male lead character is very realistic too. I like that the actor and actresses have real flaws. (Bad swearing etc.) Good luck with this week, you have all of my votes.
Fun stuff going on here. Great potential for character development and storylines that will engage an audience. Showbiz truths contain so much humor and craziness - I can see endless material! ;-) j.
Small town radio sounds like it has plenty of room for comedy. As you say in you byline WKRP meets the office. As long as it doesn't get to folksy and develops some edge, I'd watch it.
I loved your hype video and find your humor very funny! For a small town, Peterborough has a plethora of talent! Keep up the great work! Hope to see you in the top 15 on Monday!
I like these two funny women much more than the main character they described. I'm not sure I would watch a show that revolved around him.
Thanks. You set out to crush a man's feelings and you certainly succeeded. My therapist thanks you!
I'd like to see a show about small town radio and this was a funny hype video, but I am not entirely sold on the main character by the way that he was incorporated here. Well, good luck!
Ha! I'm sorry I haven't looked in on Dead Air before! The hype video is fantastic - I've gone through and watched all the other missions now and laughed a lot. This is smart writing, and you're right -- I don't think there's anything quite like this. Good luck!
Good hype video and great personalities!
Funny! Great job. Good Potentiel. Curious to see more!
Congratulations on making it to the top 55! You seem to be really comfortable in front of the camera- real naturals. Good luck in taking a spot in the top 15!
You guys are pretty funny, although I don't really like the main "character" all that much. I think the girls are way funnier, and although I'd love to see a comedy about radio and music, I'm not sure this is the one I'd like to watch. Good luck though!
Ouch! Yer a real meanie.
Great job on making it this far. Funny videos and I think that you have serious potential. Good luck moving forward!
Thanks, Jay! :) Any and all help you guys need from me, don't even hesitate to ask! :) So looking forward to this funny show! Small Town Radio stories are endless!! ;)
Good luck. You have worked very hard and comedy coup has a big debt to pay to all the teams that participated.
Thank you Michael P. Really appreciate you taking the time to comment.
That was a really great week 5 video! You all have a confident style with really good comedic timing, and you all seem to have the perfect look for what you are doing. Definitely following this one with interest!
Scott, you are indeed a kind and wise man. :) Thanks for following.
Great hype. You guys are funny and I kind of really like the idea :) Best of luck!
Thank Magdelane!
So far, your style of comedy seems relaxed - it doesn't need to try too hard, which I really like! Your team is comfortable on camera, and that allows for the story to take the focus. Great work - keep it up!
We choose to only shoot videos when we have been suitably tranquilized by a qualified veterinarian. Do not try this at home. Thanks Courtney!
Dead Air Comedy showed some good acting chops. Small town versus big city egos has great comic potential. It will be interesting to where it goes from here. Making ti into the top55 is a job well done
Thanks Catherine. We are surprised and humbled to be included in the top 55 with so many other fantastic pitches. It's really nice.
Loved it!! More flashdance please.
Be careful what you wish for, Karen B. :) Thanks for the comment.
Looks funny. I think I'll go back and check out past videos. Not a huge fan of comedies like this but I'll give it a chance... and by comedies like this I mean set it dead media like radio or newspapers. Good luck!
There's still comedy gold to be mined from these media corpses, Chris. Here's to hoping we have the skills to dig it out. Thanks for the kind words.
Nice job - totally natural and comfy presentation style that shed some light on the project and let me know that you're funny. Dead Air woman on left looks like a young Shannon Doherty too! Best of luck this weekend - Joe from Fruit Farm.
Thanks Joe! In an amazing coincidence, I worked with a Joseph P on my radio show. That has to be a good omen, right? :)
Lol you guys are clearly naturally funny and I was engaged throughout the whole hype video. Great mission project! I look outward to seeing you guys in te top 15. Best of luck!
Thanks for the kind words, Stacy. Even though I through my back out during my flashdance, your comment made it all worth it.
Great hype video. This project is one of the most primetime television ready ones I've seen in this process. I can't imagine a top 15 without Dead Air. Keep killing this competition!
And I can't imagine our comment section being complete without such a kind comment by you, Dylan M. Thank you very much!
Great hype video! Ya''ll are so comfortable in front of the camera and it shows! Best of luck in the next round.
Thanks Lorelei. Keeping our fingers crossed that we make it to the next round. ;)
Such a funny hype-it video! And what a coup (no pun intended) to get Linda Kash; she has a natural comic sensibility that comes through in everything she does. Congratulations on advancing to the Top 55, and I hope you continue on!
As a huge fan of Linda's work, I feel incredibly fortunate to be riding her coattails with this project. However, I constantly live in fear of getting the boot anytime now. I also think Megan Murphy is delightful.
Your mission clearly articulates the show and what you intend to do with it. It's funny, crude (always a winner), and insert third thing here after the oxford comma.
Hahaha! I'm gonna go with funny, crude, and...funny because I've never been much of a wordsmith. Thanks Donal!
Y'all are funny. Though I would have liked to see more of the show in this video. The idea of a WKRP in Small-Town-atti is intriguing to me.
Thanks Adam. I'd love to show more of the show too but Meg and Linda are still working on cutting as much of my footage out as possible before it's ready for the public's peepers.
Haha! Awesome! Love this. Now when do I get my cat back?
You are Ray H. And I think you are a lovely man. Odorous but lovely.
Its clear you guys have character and chemistry down. There's a lot of shows in this competition that I feel don't have a grasp on how their concepts could be developed into something that could carry on for a while. That's not an issue with this concept. You go guys and gals! Good luck!
Jacob, I always read these comments with trepidation and fear but your kind words lifted my apprehension. Thanks for taking time to comment.
You two have hilarious chemistry. The cuts to Mike were a bit odd, and offputting, but thats probably part of the humour? Anyway! Keep it coming, show looks promising.
Unfortunately Willy, the blame lies with me. I am generally odd and off putting on a regular basis. I blame my father's genetics.
good job on this weeks challenge. Congratulations on making it this far and I look forward to seeing more. keep on going!
Thanks for your support Wendy M! Means a lot!
Hey guys! In my opinion, there's something there... I don't know what you usually up to, but i can see potential and funny stuff. On the other hand, you're not that different from many sitcom that i already know, but you seem to have some good characters. I think you just need to go further with the characters. Good luck! by the way, sorry for my english, my first language is french! :)
Your English was just fine, Emily. :) Understood you completely and hope our style, humour and story sets us apart from the other sitcoms that have come and gone. And we thank you for taking the time to comment.
Your main characters are likeable and funny! I like the concept of a radio show comedy (the dead air bit was funny) and I can see potential for this show. You should be in the top 15 and good luck!
Thanks Laura! We are thrilled to be in the Top 55 with so many amazing pitches and funny folks included here but Top 15 would be mind blowing.
Haahahaha rectum em damn near killed em hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahah
A classic never gets old, Micah.
My pants got tight watching this, thanks allot... I only have one pair of pants please don't ruin them for me
Mine got ruined just reading your comment. Thanks a lot, Micah! Fortunately, I brought my spanx to work today.
Hey Dead air great video. Loved the breath of dead air jokes at the end. I haven't seen your previous entries. But will tune in now ! I apologize my time has been spent working day and night on Wharf Rats.
Love Wharf Rats! It's an honour to have you visit and comment on our page, Robbie! Best of luck to you and thanks!
The end of this video is so sexually explicit, between the pent up 'synergy' of the actors, the glimpse of the lead characters fascination for Flashdance and the climax of the misplaced "boom"... I'm out of breath. I expected comedy, but with this near pornographic extension... well just say I blew my 'vote wad' on the team at Dead Air.
My Lord. Your words excite me and your generic picture-less avatar sets my loins aflame. Thanks for the comment, you generically sexy devil!
Gosh you folks are hilarious. As evident by your large following, I am impress with the quality your team displays. Good luck this week. Hope we all see one another at top 15
From Team Maple U,
http://comedycoup.cbc.ca/mapleu
I certainly hope so, Amir! Thanks for the kind comments and good luck to Team Maple U as well. It's nice to share company with such funny folk.
Haha... "Small Town Radio", eh? Subtle! LOVE IT!!! ;) ;)
Thanks John! I suspect you have some funny stories to share as well. :) Love the profile pic!
Working in not-for-profit, spent alot of time working with small town radio folks - many who have become awesome friends and certainly ikeep me laughing. Love the concept - love Jay. Wish you much success and will keep voting.
Thanks Linda M! Working with amazing people in the community is actually one of the best parts of the job! And we plan to highlight some of that in the show! And you just made Jay blush.
LOVED the video, hasn't seen this project before but I will be going back and watching all your previous week's entries! You've actually made me all hyped up about this show! Great job and good luck!
Thanks Karen T!! Yes! Be a time traveler and go watch our stuff! We're really excited about showing you our next mission video too! We're all giddy now! If we had any dignity left we'd be embarrassed about how giddy we actually are!
Linda Kash definitely carries this project. She is very charismatic. Would love to see a show about small town radio come to life. Interested to see where you go from here. Good luck!
Hey Anna L! Thanks for the comment. Linda's got strong haunches and doesn't mind piggy backing Jay and I. Toss her a carrot or two once in a while and we're good!
YOU'RE THE PHILADELPHIA CREAM CHEESE ANGEL!!!! Not much to say about the Hype video (I think the challenge is stupid) but I like your premise and I like you guys. Also, the pug won me over. Good luck going forward!!!
Thanks for commenting Natalia! Dewey appreciates your love. Now go eat some delicious creamy bagel spread.
Interested to see where you go with this & how the small town radio station fits in There is definitely potential to entertain here Good luck
Thanks Belinda R! The station and the town itself will become loveable neurotic characters!
Great concept, interested to see how the town plays into the show more and more than just the focus on the radio station, it looks like it has potential.
Hey Sean M! Thanks for commenting. Yes, the town will definitely be a huge character in our show.
Not into this at all, sorry, I agree with Adrian S., I'd rather vote for a show with people who are actually new or newish to TV.
Hey Katy R. Thanks for taking the time to comment. But don't hate us 'cuz we love working and have good ideas! If we were really 'Canadian famous' would we have had to broadcast from a blood donor clinic the other day for 3 hours?? Vote for us...we're low on platelets.
this video was pretty good. I am not sure if it answered the hype it theme and if the video would make the media want to cover this story. It let me get to know the team a bit better though. Sell sheet was nice.
Hey Ron T! Thanks for the comment. We're from a small town, when we hear the word "hype", our only reference is Flavor Flav.
This is the first I am seeing of this project but I'm glad I am! Good work on this week's video, you are intriguing. Jeremy's beard is beautiful.
Thanks Brianne N! Jeremy's beard is delightful. There's a family of wish granting fairies living in it.
Small town radio station with a lot of potential. I hope to see more of your videos. Good luck in the competition.
Thanks Aurora G! So true - lots of crazy characters inside and out of the station.
Sorry but here again another famous Canadian actress trying to get a spot. I still don't believe this is right because if you are already in the industry doors will open before newcomers. No hard feels but this is a business of who you know. Good luck.
Hey Adrian S. Thanks for the comment. The show IS created by 'newcomers'. I mean Jay and I are old, but have been slogging it out in the industry for 150 years without getting our 'break'. And no one works harder and does more free stuff than Linda Kash. Anyone in this industry knows that doors don't just open for anyone. Unless it's an automatic garage door opener. (not my best material, but it's all I got today)!
I love small town radio stations. This is a neat concept and a lovely video. I mean, it had a pug. Nicely put together and edited and had great information. Thumbs up.
Thanks Diana M! Dewey is adorable and thanks you for your love. He actually looks oddly like Jay. It's weird.
Constructively commenting on your video for mission week number five. keep doing what you are doing and good luck.
Thanks Christian S! I shall return the favour and constructively comment on your comment for mission week number five. Good luck with your constructive comments in week 6.
Seems like you gals had a great time doing this video. I don't seem to get that you got your idea across for the hype it. I understand that it is about small town radio station; that could have a lot of potential. I wish you good luck on the next mission.
Thanks Martine T! We did have a good time making this video. We have a tendency to make each other laugh until we either pee a little bit or a we blow snot bubbles.
I think just doing this as a radio show would be a fun idea. But I get that you want to do visual stuff as well to show what goes on behind the mike.
Hey Katie J! Thanks for the comment and yes it would be fun just as a podcast. However, then you're be denied the pleasures of seeing Jay Sharp's side boob. That's a beautiful sight that even 3 years of therapy and a 26 of gin can't undo.
I agree with Lisa B's comment about not really getting an idea of what the show will be. You two ladies seem to have funny and wit, so I would presume this will be funny - but could you give us just a wee bit more next time? Good luck!
Hey Michael K! Thanks for the comment. Yes we can give you more. Like an entire season if we get greenlit! Vote for us. It'll be the best decision your funny bone will make!
Great hype video and congratulations on making the top 55. Can't wait to see what you have planned for your future productions after you make the top 15. Good luck!
Hey Georg K! Thanks for the comment. Also, I love your name. My first famous crush was on Georg Von Trapp.
I wish this week's video told me more about what your show would be like. I haven't watched the rest of your videos but all I know from this week's video is it's a show about radio. I hope to learn more in the weeks to come and I hope to pee with laughter. Good luck making the top 15!
Hey Jen H! Thanks for the comment. Get out your adult Depends and prepare for lack of bladder control. And go backward to the previous weeks and see what we were up to. Go back in time...it's trippy.
It's great to see comedy about small town radio because it can relate to a lot of people across Canada who are in........small towns. That's a lot of people
Hey Jack H! So true! Even people in the big cities are usually from small towns. I lived in Toronto for 15 years and was basically just a small town girl, who bought a cool pair of boots to try and fit in. But in reality, we're all more comfortable at field parties than "da club".
I wanna like this show. You have all the right stuff. I'd just like to see what an actual show might be like. You tell me what it could be like, but I wanna see it in action. Give us a sample.
Hey Lisa B! Thanks for the comment. It's ok to like us. We like you too. And we promise you'll see what an actual show looks like....when we win. It's hard to create the actual show on a budget of Tim Horton's gift cards and broken dreams.
Great job!!
Thanks Amelia W! Short, sweet and straight to the point. You're a great job too!
I enjoy these two. I like their tag lines and promos. I would love to learn more about the show. I will be looking up the podcast as well for sure. Good luck onto the next rounds.
Hey Emilee G! Thanks for liking our stuff. Does "tag lines" make you think of "skin tags" or is that just me?
I must say, Megan Murphy you've also got a great voice, really easy to listen to. Then there was Jays joke, that's a great oldie "butt" goodie. I like you guys and hope to see more of what you can do. Good luck with you taping on Wednesday November 5 , will have to look up your podcast.
Hey Sheldon O! Thanks for the comment (read in my radio voice). Our podcast went well and will be available for download soon!
I have to admit that this is the first video I've seen from this group, and it didn't tell me very much. Still, this looks like the most familiar of the concepts out there, and resembles the type of programming already on the air as it is. This might be a case of people finding comfort in the familiar versus wanting something drastically different. I also feel as though this is a group of relatively established personalities, and one that would probably have the best shot at a pilot without the aid of this contest.
Hey Jas J! Thanks for the comment. First, be like Michael J Fox and go back in time and watch our other videos to get a stronger idea of our show. Second, we're unlike anything you've ever seen on TV. Ever. No, that's a lie. If you've seen good TV before, then we're like that. Third, you're adorable for thinking that we have any clout in the industry. We tried the "don't you know who I am" line. They said "Yes, that's why you can't come in".
Once again, this project is easily in my top 5 favourites. You've mentioned that the small town setting is a big part of the appeal; I'm hoping to see it emerge as almost it's own character as things move forward. The types of personalities that come out of the woodwork in small towns are often amazing and I hope to see you folks get a chance to explore them/show them to the world!
Thanks Kirk L! I can't believe that we're in your Top 5...5 times over! Yes, the small town is quirky and will definitely become a character unto itself in this show. We're proud "townies" and want to feature small town Canada as best we can.
Nice trailer thing. It does a good job setting the feel for the type of humour and the personalities involved in the creation. A word of warning, watch out for over doing industry in jokes. I haven't seen any yet (or don't recognize them) but hitting that sweet spot can really work out.
Thanks Andrew B! Good advice. We'll try not to make too many inside jokes. It's no fun to be on the outside. Like when you're waiting for the BBM results 'cuz you're gonna rebrand, check your rotations and flip formats.
I'm very excited about this premise. As a radio personality myself I know there's a lot of funny stuff that goes on behind the mic, and I think this has a lot of promise! I'd like to see more talk about what kind of content or story ideas that could come up in the show. Will it be like a funny Canadian Fraser? Or will there be more stuff going on than just a rehashing of stuff we've already seen?
Hey Sara D! Thanks for the comment. Let's do the secret radio handshake! It'll be different than radio stuff you've seen on TV thus far. It will include the in studio side of life, the office side of things, but will bring in the listeners and the town more as well. Life is small town radio is very different from big city, big budget broadcasting. It's ripe for the picking!
Great job. I am happy to support this project. Good luck making it to the next round. #HypeIt #ComedyCoupHype #BeHyperactive #100Characters
Hey Jon F! Thanks for the love. We squeeze you with Dead Air love.
I agree with Satcey (below) ... the telling vs. showing comment. Your premise leaves the door open for all kinds of different plot lines that could show us what you really want to do with the show. Dead Air could be good ... I'll be keeping an eye on this one as the next weeks unfold!
Hey Janet M! Thanks for the feedback. Don't scroll down and read what I wrote to Stacey M....not that it's exactly the same or anything. But....we have scripts and a seasons worth of episode arcs. Help us win and we'll show you everything, (that's what she said. Literally. I just said that). It's tough to create an episode on a budget of Tim Horton's gift cards and broken dreams.
The two of you have a lot of charisma and it's great to see women showrunners in the top 55, but I'm worried that this (and your other videos so far) have been a lot of telling without a lot of showing. The premise sounds promising but I wish I could see a little more to help me imagine what an episode would actual entail. Good luck!
Hey Stacey M! Thanks for the feedback. We'll definitely show you lots more. We have scripts and a seasons worth of episode arcs. Help us win and we'll show you everything, (that's what she said...literally, I just said that). It's tough to create an episode on a budget of Tim Horton's gift cards and broken dreams.
I think this video may have missed the mark a bit on what this weeks challenge was. You guys did a good job either way though. You guys look and act great in front of the camera and you have good chemistry.
Thanks for the feedback Deanna T. Do you feel hyped up?? Hyperactive?? Have hypertension? Then our job here is done.
this does seem more like a week 2 video.
Hey Sarah D. Thanks for the feedback. Maybe week 2 is week 5? And 5 is 2? Einhorn is Finkle? Finkle is Einhorn?!?!?!?
I loved the use of the "cannot play this video in your region" bit! Stupid internet. Good luck Dead Air crew!
Hey Kris M! Thanks for the comment. Isn't that friggin' annoying when that message comes up? I just want to see the funny cat video Jimmy Fallon, just show it to me already!!!
I like your concept for your show and think you have a likeable, funny team. I laughed at the line, "Screw you, that's funny!." to the dog. I also like your page one sell sheet photo. Good luck!
Thanks Kathleen M! Dewey had thick skin, he can take it. Thick skin and pokey outey eyeballs. He's dreamy.
That was a great line!!!!
I feel this would have made an awesome week 2 video (not saying that your week 2 video wasn't awesome, it was just as funny as well). I just felt the emphasis was put more on yourselves than your concept. All in all, hilarious material and thanks for replying to my previous comment. It's always great when a team shows initiative like that and responds to their fans.
Thanks for the feedback Christina O! Much appreciated that you took the time and were thoughtful with your comment. I hear what you're saying, however, the specific mission for week 2 was to put the emphasis specifically on who we are rather than on the show. Each week they ask us to do something different. It's a tough balance to follow the mission, keep the audience engaged and still be funny. Thanks for being a fan!
Love love love!!!
Thanks Mandy R! And we LOVE LOVE LOVE you.
your video has good content but is a bit dry. Your first page of the sell sheet is great, second page is a bit boring.
Hey Carly T. Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, making sell sheets is dry. I choked on it while writing it. But my God didn't the red make you a little bit hot under the collar?!?!
I have this sudden urge to rip you off and start my own action comedy called "Buck Noël: Christmas Tree Hunter." Because I'm sick of zombie humans, so have your people call my people/mom, and we'll make a hit series about reclusive hero Buck Noël, the only man who can save humanity from the coniferous zombie apocalypse. ;). In short, I love your video.
Lane, how is it possible that you did not enter this competition! Comedy Coup needs Lane!
Hey Lane B! Dammit! Why are you having this idea 6 weeks into the competition?!? Oh, and Noel can't be pronounced properly. It has to rhyme with mole. There's no other way.
Love the concept! We laugh so hard every time we catch your new videos! Keep up the fantastic work and we hope to see you make it all the way to the final fifteen!! Best of luck!
Thanks Jessi L! We're glad you laugh at us too. It's like most of our childhoods.
Funny.
Thanks Coby V! You're a man of few words. But I like all of them. I mean, I like one of them.
You guys are hilarious! Bring on the depends.....I will gladly pee in my pants to see more. Your individual styles compliment each other. And then Jay and the dog.......just too funny! The more I watch the more I laugh!
Thanks Dianne B! Quit your kegel exercises and let the funny waterfall flow!
Very Funny!!!
Thanks Jennifer D! I like this comment. It made me happy.
LOL, ya'll are hilarious!
A
Hey Angela P! Thanks! We'all appreciate your support!
You guys make me laugh everytime :) smart funny! I would love to see more of the show... but I don't want to pee in my pants. Just saying. To the point witty video, Jay man and the dog, good. Sell sheet - hard to read colours. Go DEAD AIR!
Thanks Sarah Thomas M! Get comfortable with pee pants. All the cool kids are doing it. Thanks for the advice on the sell sheet.
I think you have an interesting cast but I wonder if this concept hasn;t already been done to death. I'm interested to see more from you guys though.
Thanks for the feedback Brooke H! It's good to wonder and yet, don't let our title fool you....we haven't been done to death. Yet. Vote for us to see!
