This is bound to be a ground breaking show, the likes of which have never before emerged on the waves of the cbc. It is a concept of a setting that is so familiar and speaks to every citizen of Montreal (and, I gather, anywhere there is a convenience store.) Vote Deplflies, if you want to see something that will transport you to a place that you probably just came from for the to get your necessary TV watching collations.

The hardest sell of this series will be the bilingual aspect. It's a proud part of our nation, but the majority of Canadians only have fluency in one language. But if handled right, (subtitles, etc...) this could be a great show that boasts our bilingual culture, while also comedically skewering it!

wow, what an interesting concept. I am surprised no one thought of it before now being as we are a bilingual country, French and English. Unfortunately I don't think it is going to fly. We have SO many other ethnicities in the country now that have a hard time with English as their first language let alone trying to read the sub-titles, which for me were too fast to grasp and English is my mother tongue. AND I was born and raised in Northern Ontario and spent time in Quebec and took French in school.
So it is an interesting concept, but feel it could be presented in another way that would make it easier to follow as there were some really good bits in it.

Love you guys. Your show has great energy. The rest of Canada doesn't usually get to watch the great French Canadian content that gets produced in French for Quebec audiences, since it's typically such an insular market. This show seems like it could capitalize on the enthusiasm French Canadians have for French Canadian content while being much more accessible to the rest of the country than French-language-only shows. Good luck!

I really like this concept. Each week is a little snippet unravels towards what I hope is the full story/picture. I am not sure exactly where you are going, but you have spiked my curiosity and I want to go along for the ride. Maybe next week provide a bit more focus on key characters. Everyone and everything comes at you so fast (although I am aware of the time constraints) it can take a few views to try and get the full gist of what is going on (plus I only have high school French ☹). The subtitles were sometimes hard to read (white text on light background) and with everything moving fast, I missed a bit on the first view.

It's an interesting concept, but your jokes may have come across better if the non bilingual viewer didn't have to read the punch line. Also I found the writing a bit hard to read done as it was in white and blended a bit with the background. Not too sure how this video explains why you are unique, and still a little fuzzy on your concept. Good luck with the competition though guys!

Hey Christina, thanks for the comments, we learned our lesson with the subtitles too, they are a bit too bright, thanks. We consider ourselves unique because we deal with punk subculture and we are bilingual. Our concept is like Cheers meets Portlandia, if that helps! Thanks and hope to remove the fuzziness in upcoming videos!

J'aime bien le dialogue between english and french. Ça pourrait faire un peu difficile for some to understand but, being bilingual makes it extra spéciale.

Week 3 goes to Depflies. All the other shows wish they were as unique as Depflies.

The energy, the chemistry, the performers are really PRESENT. Charming crew. That Plato quote from "Simon C." instantly made this project into legend. I think this is one of the shows that really transports the audience to a new, interesting place. The bilingualism that I've seen so far is very natural and compelling. It makes me want to make jokes in French.

A black outline on the subtitles would help the words pop for my weak, weak eyes. Might be worth perusing the internet for past greats. Y'know, learn from the masters of subtitle styling?

Guys, it's nice to see some home-grown Quebecois based humour in this thing. Not gonna lie, I laughed my way through the whole differentiator video. Also, HABS>EVERY TEAM IS MORE LIKE IT! Looking forward to seeing you guys move on! Bonne chance!

You missed the point of the mission this week. Flashing the words in the last 5 seconds of the video doesn't really help the viewers understand what makes you special.

I love the drone shot! I also like embracing both official languages. This is the only concept I’ve seen on here doing that.

I dont think you understood the goal of the project this week and i dont get why you switch between english and french at random time. There is just no cohesion in this story. But keep up the work I think it has potential, you just need to start putting things up together

Something about this show catches my attention so far. I like the way it allows you an intimate look into Quebec culture and does so in a really funny light-hearted way. Interested to see more.

Revolutionary Communism is a good concept for a film show, what if they succeed and we enter into a second season where the revolution has come and we have to eat healthy chips on unsalted noodles, I would find that pleasurable.

This is one of the few truly original projects I've seen in this competition, and maybe the only bilingual one (I haven't gotten through all of them so can't say for sure). Go originality, go Dépflies!!!
