Fave 115 Views 2126Every video you guys do is just awesome! I love monday nights when a new video comes out so i can watch it. It would be wicked to see you guys on the cbc with a comedy series. I can make popcorn and wait for it to come on. Like clock work. I could even buy chips from a dep and sit in front of the tv and wait for Depflies to come on.
Awesome work!

Je n'aime pas les characters. Ils sont unbelievable. I can't get on board with that punk chick. The bilingual concept is unique, but the concept is just like any other sitcom where friends hang out in the same place all the time (I can name 100). Bon effort.
Hanh hanh hanh, bien joué mes amis! Le fait que vous faites une idée en parlant nos deux langues est manifique! J'espére que vous allez bien. Il faut avoir plus des émissions français au Canada anglophone.
I hereby state that the following commentary is over the required 100 characters and is as follows: love it!
You guys have one of the best Ideas I have seen in this competition! Congratulations on making it this far! if my friends don't win this thing. I'm pulling for you guys for sure!
GOOD LUCK!!! See you on here tomorrow :D
Excellent idea! Really captures the feeling of Montreal!
Great Idea! I think this is a great concept and there should be way more bilingual shows that show our beautiful second language. Good luck to you all!
To me, it just seems healthy for the Canadian culture to host a show like this one. It's a dark time for culture these days, this would bring a warm light, a message of love over the hate and fear we are being served each day. This concept is more than a show, it is what Canada needs!
Thumb up!!!
Congrats on making it this far! Fingers crossed for TOP 15?! If not, I'll love you all no matter what and continue to support Depflies!
For those of you who doubt the bilingual aspect of the show, let me say this: I'm from Florida, and yet I've seen two live shows of Depflies and understood the French 100%. And it really makes the concept all that more hilarious. Oh, and in Florida we don't have Deps, so I get to live vicariously through all the Montrealers who do....
Besides, I had a daydream today that I would be a character on the show. That's how much I think about the team behind Depflies. Pure love! I mean, who wouldn't want to be a character on a project like this?
this is quite similar to several other plots out there. some of the ideas are funny but do not seem original. maybe things will progress in a more interesting way.
And I think that this show has much more originality than many others!
Wow! This is one of the most unique concepts I have come across. I am not bilingual, but would definitely watch to expose myself to more Canadian culture.
Most of Canada would not be interested in a Bilingual Comedy. May be good for the French station.
Good luck trying to sell this project with the French TV. Good work and all the best in this competition.
Wow. It never occurred to me how successful a bilingual comedy could be. This for me is a story I’d enjoy hearing more of, even though I’m not sure how much out-loud-laughter will ensue. Nice and grounded.
I love seeing a bilingual series from a city that often gets underrepresented by Canadian TV. I love the idea and it's shot beautifully. However easily I can see some of the characters being quite comedic, it still comes across as a dramatic series to me. But great work, guys!
Great job making top 55, There is some stiff competition out there and more than a few laughs. I think you will be in the Top 15 ! Good luck
hilarious ! nothin like it. i really appreciate what you're doing here. youve got serious game and i have become a big admirer. you deserve to win this contest. you are definitely welcome to entertain me any time of the year. keep it up and be the people youve always wanted to be.
Top 55 is an amazing accomplishment! Best of luck as you head to Top 15 - love the concept of bilingual series - maybe I could learn something funny to say in French! or not.........
My Top 5 picks!
1. Wasted
2. Bike Cops
3. Roll for Damage
4.Infinite Possibilities
5. Geoff and the Ninja
Good luck in the competition guys! everyones been doing a pretty good job considering the time constraints to film each challenge.
Hey guys, super cool idea with the bilingual aspect. Your videos are quite good and I wish you luck with the top 15
So well shot. And lit. Love the final shot. The Voice over is bang on. When your actors are completely truthful, then I can see this show working, but the "Dep saved my life" girl wasn't truthful in her monologue, and the "I want kids" is a good actor, but needs to play less for the camera.
dep saved my life girl irritates me, she's just too much, not believable to me
Congratulations on making it to the Top 55! Creative team, interesting concept. It’s tough to come up with solid product each week so kudos for your hard work. Best of luck moving into the top 15.
This is very well done and a good look into Montreal - Im definitely curious and Im not from the area - so looks cool.
i'm pretty stoked about this, as usual, and you guys know that the 100 character cap is something i don't try to bypass with idle banter and chat. for real though, beer and chips until death.
I can see this has a slice of Montreal thereby making it Canadian, but I don't see it being a comedy show. The character matrix is not diverse. All strong personalities and a bit depressing in tone. Nice idea, but needs to be much lighter.
Not sure how much mass-appeal this would have (Language barrier), but the characters seem strong, it reminds me of a modern day Clerks. I really do like the vibe of the show.
I very much like the cultural aspects of this concept. I feel like I am peeking into a world I know nothing about but I expect the humor will translate well. Laugh while I learn. Good luck!
I am clearly biased but I LOVE this project and I have worked with some of the best people out there to make it come to life. It has been a blast moving along this far in the competition and here's to hoping we get to produce more amazing content as part of the top 15!
I really enjoyed this hype video. I got to see a lot more about the show and you've definitely proven that you're one of the most unique projects. Good luck in top15
I could see this show doing really well in Quebec...like a quebecer Corner Gas or something, but i'm not sure people outside of Quebec would entirely get it...I like that it's bilingual though, that's cool.
Congrats on the top 55! Likeable cast. Very best of luck to this gang. I'm interested in seeing more.
This is definitely one of the best ones going. Loving the bi-lingual bodega setting. Makes me want to grab an Arizona can!
This video was really well-done, and I think it is quite unique. My only concern would be that it's such a subculture, could most of Canada relate? Good luck to you.
favourite thing on this site, and with good merit cos this is bilingual and im straight up from st henri. good to see the dug up streets looking like they do. montreal's got 2 seasons, winter and construction. i hope winter's warm for you dudes, good team and vibe
Well, as someone who has lived in MTL, I can definitely appreciate and identify with this. Love the bilingue aspect too.
Depflies sick job again ! And Fan Fave too !! Sell sheet looks tight as well , Good luck in the voting !! -Wharf Rats
Mon fuckin' dieu que c'est ben ben beautiful. Dope shots, script, performance and music. Wow. More please. Bravo and merci. Bonne chance!!!
Great job, fellow Montrealers! Really liked this video. The voice over worked really well, it helped me really grasp what you guys are trying to accomplish here. Hope to see you in the top 15!
I first became interested in the show because of it was set in Montréal (a place I lived when I was younger and holds a special place for me) and because it was going to be bilingual (something I appreciate even if I can speak only a little french.) That said, those were the main aspects that attracted me to this, until this weeks video. I absolutely loved the humanizing features in this video. "The comedy is routed in character, not caricature." Also, I like smoothies too, so high five to smoothie guy.
I like the project, the way the video keeps moving and the talent. Good premise, different setting and ripe with a lot of comic potential. This is worth a top 15, in my opinion.
Yeah, It doesn't seem like a comedy, an interesting idea for a tv show but just not funny enough for me.
the setting is really adding a lot to the motion of this picture. perhaps including a bit more musical and graphical effects can help you guys go a long way
Depflies brought it this week!! This was your guys' best video so far, and you deserve fan favourite and much more. I think the narration really brought the project together and you should consider featuring an objective voice on a regular basis! That final shot though... wow... just beautiful!
It is good to see the bilingual project. The French and English culture is unique to Canada so hats off to you. I liked meeting the characters too. i love Montreal so I like the concept. Work in some average fillies too.
Great to meet the cast of characters; this was a great way to introduce who everyone is in a single beat. This project has really grown on me from a rough first impression from the trailer, but the following videos show a lot of heart
As a french immersion graduate this strike a special chord in my heart. Bringing back memories of out there Montreal born teachers. A great concept.
This is very different for sure, if this is what life is like in Montreal, the story needs to be told. I didn't find it funny. All the best to you in the next phase of the competition
The week one video had me worried this would be a Canadian Clerks. glad to see there is much more to it.
This is the first one I have seen. But your video gives a good indication of what the show will be like. Looks funny and very good. I would watch it.
Amazing work. super funny stuff and I truly believe you guys will be top 15 with some other great teams. All the hardwork and dedication these teams have presented is outstanding.
This is a cool world that I don't think I've seen represented. So well shot--very slick. Great job guys. People are really getting behind this project and I can see why. Well done.
I remember my local depanneur growing up in Kirkland. When I moved to Calgary I was like, where the hell did all the depanneurs go!? And why are these psychopaths turning right at a red light!? It's just dangerous!
Good stuff! Cinematography was great, this is one of the few projects that really seems to have a sense of its own visual style.
Hey dudes, it's a real team all up in this. the guys and the ladies are good actors, improvisors and people. real issues, real comedy, and it's all really relevant to society in montreal, and society at large
Love the characters, plural. Well developed.
love these guys! and the fact that ther ar eadventures and hijinks outside the dep itself holds a lot of potential for getting into other Montreal stories and subcultures. a gold mine of characters and comedy! :)
Amazing work. super funny stuff and I truly believe you guys will be top 15 with some other great teams. All the hardwork and dedication these teams have presented is outstanding. amazing
I think the bilingual twist does make this project unique in style delivery...The story line not so much, perhaps for straight comedy. I think this would be a strong, interesting and heartwarming show that could focus on many different situations and emotions, not necessarily all funny. It may not appeal to those who just don't love reading dialogue! All the best in your future.
Cool, I like it. I love multiculture, Montreal, the city, I can imagine myslef following this show.
i think your bilingual angle is a very interessting tactic. it is very surprising that there isnt more of a bilingual representation. i think this gives you an advantage in the competition and you certainly deserve it - these videos are consistently strong and consistently funny. great work
I think, the bilingualism of this show is only the tip of the iceberg ))
That is interesting concept and video! The voice over was really nice. Although there are other videos that I think have better concepts this one is still one I can get behind!
Congratulations on making the top 55. I think Nathan's comment summarizes the feeling I have when I watched your video. It is good but it just didn't make me laugh or feel happy so afraid I would pass. Nice work though.
Super cool show, definitely top 15 material. shows canadas multiculturalism (something CBC is massively lacking at) Wish you guys the best.
This was actually really good. It sold the premise, shows lots of heart and embraces Canada's bilingualism. Not seeing a lot of that on here. I don't find all of the actors equally as strong, but you have a great character base and look forward to seeing more from you in the top 15. Really fun with lots of heart. love it.
Laugh for no reason is a sign of foolishness! Gags just for the sake of jokes make no sense. Most of the projects ComedyCoup suffer from this. Humor is a serious matter And You do it much better than others. Keep it up, guys!
Wow! I am very interested to see how this plays out. I like how you are trying to bring in the bilingual element of our Canadian culture. Also how the convenience store has become a part of our Canadian culture. Keep the the creativity!
Maybe it's just me but this concept actually makes me feel kinda sad. I want more for these characters. I'm not sure I'll find their disappointment funny. I like the heart this show is giving us, just not finding it funny more heartwarming.
amazing work keep it up!
Awesome!!! Keep it up! Love the characters!
I haven't found another project yet with characters that you can feel like this. Would love to see a CBC special of this. Very well-produced videos too!
I have to be honest here - even though I'm a local ice never heard the term dep-flies before, for one, and I also don't find this particularly funny. I guess it helps that you're a large team working together, and that you have a theatre to work with, where I hear you're getting people to vote on their way in. Kudos to your use of resources!
Thanks for your comment, Meghan! In fact, Depflies is a term we created, it's a play-on of the word Barfly (someone who 'hangs out' in a bar). As for getting people to vote on their way in, that would be GREAT if it were actually possible! Registering on the website takes a few minutes in itself, so it's a bit tough to keep the line going.. :) We certainly ask our clientele after they've seen one of our shows on stage to please register to vote if they loved what they saw, and we will help them with that process.
Hope this clears things up for you! Come to one of our shows in the future, and maybe we can make you laugh then!
Cheers and good will.
I like the freeness of video. 40 something characters hanging out drinking and smoking in the back of town. They look like they don't have a lot of ambition, but that is cool. Good luck with this weeks voting.
wow. this concept is totally up my alley. sounds like this humour has something to say a la human experience. love the french setting and language duality - it already adds a different layer of depth. bravo & good luck!
Will there be french subtitles when they speak english????
That is our hope!
I'm happy to see you get the fan fav. Much deserved. Alain, your jacket makes me nervous. I feel like it could take you over and make you do bad things.
amazing I wish my dep people were as interesting.
Thank you Depflies. You've inspired me to to open my own Dep, and sell cheetos at half price for poets.
Looks like there is some great potential here for many funny episodes. I find myself curious to learn more as well as interested to see the character development. Might need to brush up on my French.
I thought this was a really effective video. The voice over was well integrated with the visuals and felt organic. The concept was clear without feeling heavy handed.
I find the concept interesting, I did not know a convenience store was called a dep. It could be a great cultural exploration and glimpse in what goes on in another part of the country. I expect there's some funny stuff there to evolve.
Very good intro. video. the concept is clear.
Very nice hype video! It promises a very good Canadian show about the unique culture of Montreal in particular. Good luck!
beaucoup for comedycoup
Depflies.. un comedie bilinguale... hehehe pardon mon francais! c'est une idea d'emission tres tres humereux! je suis content. bon chance et tres bien. my french teacher from elementary is probably disgusted with me but you guys are doing great!
This definitely describes your show to me. J'aime beaucoup votre emission. I definitely like the part that his tab is so big. I used to have a dép tab. Well done guys. Thank you for making this bilingual guy have a good laugh simply by the hype. Donne moi un chipaghetti.
Really like this video and the whole show concept. Great job and congratulations on the creative, professional work including script, filming, production, editing. You guys will go all the way and have a new fan and all my votes!!
C'est encore ma vie, exactement ce que je vis à Montréal. J'espère être capable de voir va vie chaque semaine sur les ondes de tévés!!! Merci dépflies!
I feel like I am being made aware of a sub-culture in Canada that I knew nothing of, but definitely want to know more about. Quirky, fun and smart.... well done, folks!
I like the character aspect of the video; that's what makes it unique and funny; probably closer to real life than we would admit.
Definately one of the most interesting projects on your. I think the english and french is great. Really unique idea with real comedic potential, and relevant to all Canadians, not just Quebecors.
Very familiar in that neighbourhood quirky pathetic funny kind of way that we all recognize. good work!
Depflies MES héros!!!!! :) Cool vidéo!
I really like your aesthetic. I wish you wouldn't harp on the bilingualism so hugely like it's that big of a deal. and if it is, why not Subtitle the English lines en Français? Seems like it would be a strong stylistic choice and feed into your multicultural language a bit better. Either way. Good work on the look of the videos. I'll keep my eyes out for you in the top 15.
Hey Taylor, thanks for the comments! Very good point about the subtitles. For me, in a "dream" scenario, we would have subtitles in both languages depending on the area, and in Montreal no subtitles at all, or something along those lines! If viewers could choose that would be the best!
Another great video, I think it may be my favourite. It really shows the community aspect and 'heart potential' of the show. I want more Depflies! Good Luck!!!
I must admit this is the first time I've checked out Depflies. I found the premise interesting but more from a documentary perspective. The language mix definitely does throw a unique Canadian spin on it.
Not everybody speaks French, but should get this. If Quebec had a 'Corner Gas', this would be it, but a shade better.
love the bilingualism, we need more of that on TV, where both languages are treated fairly equally and interwoven. plus it helps me pretend i understand french.
Always intriguing, always entertaining...... and somehow, watching this show makes me feel smarter and like a cultural genius! Great job!!!
A show like this would have a vast expanse of topics to draw from, what with the array of characters and their different personalities, desires and life goals. Definitely a show that I would watch.
This is definitely a show that I would watch. A huge reason being that it brings me back to my Dep days in Quebec before moving to BC. Some good old nostalgia. And I love the bilingualism.
I would love to watch a bilingual show. Also appreciate the reference to characters over caricature. I think this is extremely important for the development of a show. Good luck - I'll be watching!
I don't find this project as being "unique", mainly because others have compared it to Corner Gas, which automatically echoed my own opinion. The only difference being that the "depanneur" can only be found in la belle province. Because there are so many characters involved, there shows promise of some good story telling. Good luck !
Your creativity really shines once again and I'm amazed at your writing, filming, and creative energy! You guys are creating not only a following but a movement! Now off to my local dep and will be thinking of Depflies when I'm there!
Your director of photography is very good. I love the "feel" of your show. Real people, texture, complexities. Amid a lot of boneheadedness, this is refreshing.
Really enjoying everything you guys are putting out. It's too bad Quebec isn't better represented by the number of shows but you guys are definitely representing well. I really enjoy the bilingualism. Best of luck in the vote!
I'm rooting for you guys! Keep it up! Saw the spot on CBC montreal just now. I loved the show you guys did at TSC a while back. Nothing like bilingual theatre. It's something more places in montreal should be doing. Like you said on cbc, it's something that we barely see and this is the everyday life of many places in canada!
You guys are doing excellent work week after week! Congrats AGAIN on a job very well done. It's funny, colourful, unique, creative and funny. Characters are excellent and want to see you more and more!!!!!
Poetic. This last video makes me wanna cry tears of inspiration and blood. Cool colour correction! I think the mix of heartwarming and life affirming with mega edgy jokes about mega edgy subjects is a winner. Thats what we're all shooting for isn't it? Mirth and tears making a delicious laughter panini!
The idea of this show is remarkable, indeed. I’ve got associations with rare nowadays the style of Italian Commedia Dell' Arte. Only just kind of modern canadian version Comedy of characters. :-)) I understand, that I can't give You any advices but… Guys: bring it all to mind. Find montreal's Brigells, Pantalones, Harlequins, Colombins, Tartelets and others. They're all near You! Just look around! The attractiveness of your shows will increase in a 100 times and will give You unlimited possibilities for improvisation as for director as well for the actors. Good Luck to U!! (sorry for my English)
I knew this show was a winner right from the beginning! I wish I was in Québec so I could see some of your live shows. This show feels like of like if you mixed Corner Gas with Clerks. I especially love the effort you guys put into your art. Dépflies makes me want to take up learning French again.
This show looks like in the style of Commedia Dell'Arte!
Good Luck to U!!
What a unique and funny concept. This show already looks like it is a show. It has a very distinct indie feel. Really great stuff. I love the bilingual element too. Very unique.
this video was well done. It was much more serious than your other videos. I liked how you showed just how important this place is to so many people it gave us a different perspective of the idea.
Great job guys and congratulations on making it to week 5, looking forward to seeing what week 6 brings. Best of luck
Interesting concept. Look forward to seeing the next video. Good luck making it to the next round. The corner store is a universal concept in every town in Canada.
I don't know, I kind of feel like it would be a bit much watching a bilingual show, even with subtitles, each week. I like the concept of comedy coming from characters rather than caricatures though!
Keep rocking out, you guys! Great work!
Great job! Super entertaining (as always) !
Noticed the mention of music being incorporated into the show. Would love to see some of that in an upcoming video!
I remember spending "Spare" classes during High School walking down the street to the nearby convenience store. Though it wasn't a "Dep" in Montreal, it was still a meeting place where you would kill time and always run in to someone you knew!
And you brought it again this week! You guys have talent for every element of the competition and showcase it very well each week. Can't wait to see Depflies through to the Top 15, 5 and win it! Have my votes!
I want to see this show made!!!!!! These characters are hilarious and the world is so interesting and so Montreal.
Another great video from you and the team! Creative, insightful with expression and thought behind it. I want to see more from you and see this concept come to CBC television! You guys get my votes again this week and want to see you make Top 15!
Love the name! You nailed the media hype mission. Good on you for combining French and English into the show and adding sub tittles. I am a huge fan of sub titles. I would like to see more funny. Good luck!
Wow. You killed this weeks challenge. This show could be really special. The language mixing and the characters you've created are so unique to this country and this competition is a great way to expose them to the rest of the nation and then world. Looking forward to having a long and interesting relationship with the Depflies
That last shot though... Damn!
I really liked that we got to see a little more about the characters this week, seems like a charming and interesting bunch. Hope to see you in the Top 15! Bring it home, Montreal-stylez!
Great concept, kind of an extension of Corner Gas, both so Canadian eh! I love the bilingualism and hope the rest of Canada will too eh. I love my corner del, best place to buy a bottle of wine for dinner or date eh.
hey. this is the first time I really got it. and i loved it it. sold. bienfait!
Gosh. Can CBC please produce more than one of these? I love this one too. The production quality is great, the humour is so so Canadian/Quebecois, I just love it. It feels familiar and new all at once. I hope I get to see more!
This is the first of your videos that I have seen and it enough to make me want to check out your others. It's well shot. Seems to be a unique concept and setting, with an intriguing tone overall. I'm just a little curious about the claim "character, not caricature" as there's some caricature in the video.
Great video. Great concept for a show. The characters look very interesting and I anticipate some unique and fascinating situations. Looking forward to seeing more.
Your group seems to have great chemistry and the bilingual aspect is really solid. Looks like an urban, Quebecois Corner Gas. It looks good, has great pacing and I hope it does well.
It took me a really long time to take a look at your show, it makes me feel warm and cozy.
Looks sweet! I haven't even seen this project till now. But I'm glad to see a bilingual show is representing. The narrator sounded less than enthusiastic though. Made me think, well if he doesn't like the show, why should I? But otherwise, good content.
Honnêtement, je ne trippais vraiment pas sur vous autres avant cette semaine. Bravo- votre vidéo a réussi à être à la fois drôle et touchante. Sérieux; great work guys! Plus de vidéos comme celles-ci! You turned it around!
Great production value - was that a drone? This project has a great look and feel to it. I love the characters you've introduced so far - I want to go back and see your other vids and yes, I will. Good luck team!
Wonderful group. It makes me remember Montreal. I left when I was young but I loved the movie Bon Cop Bad Cop and even though my French isn't great I still like and can follow your show. Thanks for that little taste of home. Good luck.
I found this to be somewhat amusing. It is my understanding that fans will be deciding the top 15 as the competition progresses.
Looking good!
I like the play on words. And the smoothie idea!
I love this idea for a show. I don't speak French, I've been learning a bit recently, but I think that it would be great to have a show on the air that crosses so smoothly from one language to the next. It's an awesome idea!
I love this. It reminds me of Bon Cop Bad Cop which was awesome. Its real Montreal life and I only hope that the rest of Canada can be opened minded about it. Congrats and good luck. You deserve to be in the top 15. Bonne chance.
I'm sorry, if this sounds mean? But I'm a die hard, critic. The acting's pretty bad. At least in the preview. And not all Canadians speak French. So it's kinda narrowing the audience. Some people only know the basics. When it comes to French. It looks like you have captions. For the people who don't speak French. But think of it, this way. You're watching a foreign movie, or show. In another language. That you either don't know. Or only know the basics. Do you really wanna have to read, what they're saying? And are you really gonna keep watching it? Then there's the slow, readers. Who might only read a few words. Before the other person starts talking.
Thanks Jason A. for your input! It's true, some Canadians don't speak English or French so to be able to cater to every type of Canadian and create a harmony through comedy would be a dream come true.. Slow readers and allophones REPRESENT! (And thanks for saying you like our acting!)
I like the acting and the concept. Not all Canadians speak english. Some don't even speak either of the national languages. I'm a slow reader and have no problem keeping up. I like what this team is doing a lot.
Hey Jesse, thanks for your comments. We hope to strike a balance with our subtitles so that people aren't thrown off in either language, and when we have a bit more time our actors will flex their full academy-award winning chops hopefully to your delight!
You did a great job. Being from Quebec and I can really get into this show. The jokes are funny and I only hope the rest of Canada can open up to this. This is so real of Montreal. Bonne chance and congrats on making it into the top 55.
There's nothing else like this in the competition, that's for sure. This video really helped me grasp what your show's all about. There's definitely an audience out there for a show like this. Thanks for the glimpse into a world I don't know much about!
This is by far my favorite group here on ComedyCoup. The production is amazing, the shots are amazing, and the acting is hilarious! Congrats you guys, another awesome video! Can't wait to see you in the top 15!
this show concept sort of seems like corner gas in quebec which I guess would be good. Corner gas was good so why not do a bilingual version.
this video was different than I thought it would be based on your other videos. It was a bit sad at moments and very serious. It was very well done just would have liked some humour. It was nice seeing how important this idea is to you guys.
This show is becoming one of my favourites. At first I was skeptical about it being bilingual but now I love it. It gives it such a unique feel. Looking forward to your top 15 projects!
The charm really went through the plafond on this one. That's right. I googled "ceiling" in French. This show is inspiring. I thought that line, "rooted in character not caricature" really revealed the heart of this group.
Who is the extremely tall person who does some of the camerawork? That last shot was so good. They deserve credit. Maybe they are shy? I know I would be if I was that tall. I don't want to be rude but I am curious where do they sleep? In one big long bed or several beds lined up together? I am sorry if this is rude.
I disagree with the commenters who wonder if this show will be relatable for Canadian's outside of Quebec. I'm from the east, I know no french and I get the show, get the humour. The only thing I wasn't super clear of was how to pronounce "depflies" but this video solved that problem. As the French are known to say: C'est Bon! (I have no idea what that means, and apologize if it's some sort of French insult)

this week's video is so uplifting. :)
Every week I find myself liking you guys more and more. I just can't help it. I like that the acting is low key but smartly funny. I like your concept for incorporating music into the show as well. Maybe this show could even help fix the French English divide in this country. Bring us all closer together. Good Luck guys!
I don’t mind the concept but I’m not sure how relatable it is to us in Western Canada. I know French so the bilingual-ness didn’t bother me but I could see that being a negative for some people. However, I liked this week’s video. Good job explaining what your show is about!
I can really relate to this. Also the work and thought that has been put into every aspect of this project is so impressive. I can't wait to see the whole 30 minute program when it gets aired on CBC! I love your sense of humour, too!!
Wow your show seems pretty cool. I hope you make it all the way because it would be great to get more Quebec on t.v.
Hey, guys. You have a cool concept here. Being born in Quebec, I definitely understand where this concept comes from, but others may not who aren't from here. I hope you can find a way to appeal to other audiences though, not just people from Quebec. Good luck!
Love Montreal. Love the concept.:)
You guys are so funny. Alain, you do really want to be all of those things don't you? haha. Lise is TOOO funny. I just love the feel of this. I have walked into so many "Deps" just like yours. I really do wish you could deliver to me in Laval - one of each please - :D
This is the first of your videos that I've watched but I will now go back and watch from the beginning. This is a great idea and it's "sooo mtl". Your hype video did what many of the others have failed to do: completely sold me on the series and makes me want to check out more and share this with friends.
super vous êtes une belle équipe, très divertissant !
Great job on this week's video!
Really slick video, team!
Love the tone of the show, you guys are really climbing and it's well deserved. I've never seen anything targeting this group I hope there's an audience out there for it!
good job on this video. It was very well done. It had a good feel and intention to it. I like how it was a bit more serious and it showed how important this idea is to you guys. keep going.
this video was well done. It was lacking a bit of humour though. At times it was a little bit sad actually. But well done. Keep going!!
Drone shot for the win!
This video is much deeper than the previous and you really showcase the culture of Montreal. I grew up and was married in St. Henri and really appreciate how real this show is! Pretty soon you'll have to share the recipe for Chipaghetti!!! Makes my mouth water!
I feel like this video finally made me fully understand what this show is all about. It took a while but you guys have grown on me. It's such a unique sub-culture with a lot of charm
Chipaghetti goodness??? It's the look on your faces that makes me want to give it a try! Wish I could make it to the Theme party tonight! Meet everyone and hear more about your show! Great video and really got into the feel of what you're going for. Awesome job and keep it up!
Love the concept of your videos and this one really captured who and what the show is about. I remember stories of my dad growing up in St. Henri and must share this with the family. Once again, Great job!
Perfect concept ! Tout le monde en parlera dans tous les DEP du monde ! Et ceux qui s'appellent pas des DEP, prendront le nom !
Sorry, I can’t get into the material. I am not commenting negatively on your work, it is just not my kind of humour I guess.
This dude has cut and pasted this comment on a few vids I've seen, so don't take it personally.
Thanks for the honest reply Stanley, hope to convince you with our humour in the future!
Great video, even though the subtitles were white again you guys made it work this time. I found they were much easier to read than in the previous video. I also thought you did a great job as to explaining to the media what your concept was, very precise and clear. And as for your Facebook event, it seems awesome. Sounds like a great night listening to some live bands. Nearly forgot, good work on the 3 press articles!
So the subtitles were good? Thanks for the comment Christina!
Great Job!
I think you missed the mission this week a little bit. You did a great job at explaining your show and I thought the filming and editing was great but did not really focus on why the media would want to cover you or should want to.
Thanks for the comment Kara! We were hoping they would cover us because we have an original spin on bilingualism and are set in a cool Montreal neighbourhood not much of Canada knows about.
Absolument formidable!!! I LOVE IT !!!
Creative and captivating. Simple yet relatable. Can't wait to see more! Keep it honest- it shows and rocks!!
Very well executed video and sell sheet. I’m wishing I could make it out to Theatre Ste. Catherine tomorrow where the Pabst will flow like a river…alas, I cannot.
Knuckles to you guys, your videos every week are great, there simple but awesome at the same time, looking forward to see what you guys keep bringing!!! Good luck Tuesday night with your HYPE it up event
What a great concept for a show! I really like the way that it encapsulates the characters that I grew up with in the Gatineau Hills. I can't wait to see more of what you guys have to offer! Keep up the great work.
I really love this video! Great mix of funny and feely. ;)
Good stuff guys! Well explained and captivating!
Whoa! Sick video! Great job!
thanks, Mike! Nice 'bods' you got in your vid... oh! and GREAT fence!
Love the point about characters not caricatures and the message at the ending that shows that your show is about something bigger. Very well done (slow clapping ;)
Good luck this weekend and hopefully see you in the top15!

Every video you guys do is just awesome!
You guys and your fucking cool drone shots. The rest of it is great, too.
I am not loving this hype It video. It was very heart warming but did not give me the impression or feeling of a comedy show at times it was depressing. Good job on you sell sheet though I like the pictures of each character.
Solid video guys, I want to watch this show more and more as each week passes! Also was happy to see you guys rocket up to 2nd in popularity! Keep it coming guys!
Speechless. except for this: I LOVE IT! Best yet... music is amazing... ugh. da best.
I'll be the first to comment.
This video shows how you can be sensible, it is really poetic, artistic. Simply love it. Love at first sight. I want more, enough doesn't exist. The music, is PERFECT. I got an emotion.
Depflies on the highway to success.
