Week #3 The Differentiator Generic Limited

This video demonstrates our fast paced comedy and ability to incorporate a variety of humour into a short period of time. "The Berliner" separates "Generic Limited" from the pack because we are satirizing hipster culture in a unique and absurd way. Meow, meow, meow cats don't talk, they say meow.

Hey Peter!
Thanks for taking the time to not only watch our video but give it some feedback. Very kind of you.

I definitely understand your criticism. Incorporating a stronger female presence into our comedy is something we’re conscious of. As we develop our Bible and Script we have focused on creating fully formed and funny lady characters into “Generic Limited.”

We have had the pleasure to work with some hilarious women recently and we’re hoping to incorporate them into our future videos. It’s truly wonderful to know so many talented people who are willing to help us jerks out.
Thanks again!

That was good - the Berliner guy seemed a little "borrowed" from Stefane on SNL but that might just be me imagining things. Good job gonna check out the rest of your content.

I mostly come here to read Jann Arden's Tweets, but the is one of the few comedy coups that I can see expanding into a full half hour show. ..Actual room for plot and character development.

Good jokes too! Although those man bitties are horrifying.

I thought that this would be about donuts because of what JFK said that one time. So I was disappointed about there being no donuts but I laughed anyway! Keep up the good work.

Haha!!!! Jaaa, Deutschland. I enjoyed this week’s video! It was random, wacky and entertaining. Could I sit through a full 30 minutes of the same type of thing? Probably not. ABER, I look forward to seeing more of your videos, and what else you guys bring to the table!

Jo! Maybe you can’t sit through 30 min of our show but what about 6, 5 minute segments back to back, only broken up by a few commercial breaks?

Funny vid, kids! The home invasion scene in particular was pretty hilarious. Looking forward to having a reason to actually turn on my TV (Do they still call it that?)

Wow, I found this to be very funny. I am from Germany, and this is how my friends spoke about Berlin after they visited me. I think you have a good sense of humor. I don't know what this show is going to be like yet, but I would like to see it on the television.

i think u dudes are funny and that this concept has potential. It definitely resonates with people my age. And the setting's ripe for recurring characters and weirdo shoppers. Could be like cheers set in american apparel.

Your video was interesting but I don't understand how it links to your original concept of a university dropout working in a department store. At least that is what I took away from reading your synopsis. Overall, I do like that you do try to make sure all your videos remain funny and this video in particular reminded me a bit about that movie Eurotrip. Good luck guys!

    Thanks for your comment Christina.

The store is more or less the setting but the show itself is a satire of Toronto hipster culture. The intention was to show another side of that, something that steps outside of the basic plot.

Again thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!

You guys really brought the funny in this round. I love the simple and effective whip pans. Loved the way it scaled up. Skilled, economical writing. Really enjoyed the execution of the third beat from the immediate "In Berlin..." to the terrified couple. I know very little about hipster culture and I was easily on board with this.

This week, users can earn votes by giving "constructive feedback". So here is mine. You are probably already aware of this. It is a screaming elephant in the comedycoup room. You need some female talent that is not the love interest. She needs to deliver punchlines. She needs her own life/obsessions. Maybe she wants to be a tattoo photographer (well well, pretty good with this hipster stuff after all, aren't I? Wink. Smile. Pause. Wink?)

Seriously though, this is not optional. I see you are from Toronto. Maybe head to the Comedy Bar and watch some shows and recruit?

Anywho, that's my feedback. Enjoyed your video and I want to see you advance.

Looks funny! I wonder how I will like these characters and how they will change in a season. I wonder what sets this apart from a sketch or a short web series. I am really intrigued to find out though! Keep up the funny stuff!
