A new series following a weird engineer and his drunk cousin as they design ridiculous things.
Cousin Jay laments the difficulty of being an Edmonton surfer. The buses refuse to let him ride with a surfboard. So he designs and builds a revolutionary new type of board that is worn like a suit of armour. He also attempts to surf on it at the West Edmonton Mall Wave Pool. Meanwhile Frederick gets drunk and sprays him with a fire extinguisher. NOTE: We apologize to the Edmonton Surf Club.
Fave 13 Views 301 Comments 6I'm a very silly person from Edmonton. When I'm not making documentaries or working as a journalist, I film my cousin Jay making weird inventions. Often i get drunk and mock him. We filmed many of these escapades and I believe now is the time to turn this into a TV series.
I'm Frederick's fiancé - one day our little Freddies and our little Jays will ask Mommy: "why are daddy and cousin Jay so silly?" Foreseeing this impossible question, and not quite knowing if I'll ever be able to answer it, I decided to help document their almost-comical interactions, so that one day mommy can roll her eyes and tell her little darlings: "Just push play."
Kurt Spenrath, once known as the 'Sausage King of St. Albert,' is now a consummate filmmaker with his creative partners Fred and Rebecca. He has produced a TV series for Telus Local Optik this summer and recently completed a short film for BravoFactual. He also likes to origami and legislature tours.
