Good one!
Week # 3 Comments - Jobless - Like your video. You guys are young, broke, and resourceful characters. You represent the average person with no money. Will be watching for your project to make it to the top 15.
Good luck guys! This video is fantastic and I’ve really enjoyed all the stuff you’ve made. Hope to see you in the final round. You really deserve it…more than some others out there.
The interview segment is pretty funny! How many times have we went to a job interview just wanting to scream "just give me the job because..." Well, maybe not in a stolen shirt and begging on our knees but we thought it, didn't we??
This is definitely my favorite of the shows. I hope this ends up on TV. I like how it keeps pushing the desperation and futility a little further, but in a creative way and with dry wit so I still relate to the guys. Very unique and honest feel.
Hahahah you guys are hillarious together. Great concept for a week three mission to show just how different you are! I especially enjoy watching the actors work their magic together. Great stuff so far guys. I am looking forward to seeing more from this team. Congratulations on making the top 55!!!
This is such a goodhearted and funny show, I really hope you guys do well with it. It's always nice to see rural folks make good.
this is very unique and certainly very different and last but not least it is funny and thats the most important thing ive really enjoyed watching all your videos and am excited to see where this can go keep up the great work and best of luck
You boys are so different! And funny! You're going to make it very far in this contest! I can already tell! Keep up the good work and keep being funny!!!!! Love, Gayle!!!
There are things that define us, and things that make us who we are (so, I guess, define us again). This video clearly shows how your idea is unique and different (and funny!). There's nothing I would like to see more than for this show to progress!
I like the interview concept! This show has legs! And arms! And probably a spleen! Good job on the video!
I like how you used the idea of what makes the show different by having the characters describe what makes them different.
Good stuff, guys, and a great concept. i am an unemployed twenty something, too, so I can definitely relate :D keep up the greak work!
What a fantastic project! Would make an amazing sitcom! It's funny, it's interesting-vote for this one! The extras at the restaurant in the first episode are especially compelling.
really well done, if i were that interviewer i'd have hired you on the spot and paid you in hawaiian shirts. loved the video, gets your message across in a fun entertaining way.
I loved your video, you kept me hooked until the last second, and made me laugh; great job guys. I love the characters, i think you idea is great. Who was not without a job at one time? So many people can relate to this. Good luck you guys!
That was good! A little too good. Now, food turns to ash in my mouth. I feel nothing... not the wind on my face nor the spray of the sea.
Awww you guys, I would totally hire you, even to do things like stand around and look like you don't have a job. I guess that's what my votes are going to do, technically!
If there's one word I would use to describe you guys, it's "Different". Probably because you're so strange, but maybe because you're funny. I still haven't decided. Luckily, I've got all the time in the world.
You boys are gonna far in life. Just stick to ol' Stevie here, and I'll getcha where you wanna be. Remember. Wherever you go, there you are. See you tomorrow.
Thumbs up!
Hahaha you guys are very entertaining and i like what you did for the mission. I mostly enjoyed how well you two work together as a comedic duo! keep up the good work, cant wait to see next weeks msiion lol!
Hi there! Congrats on making the top 55! I really enjoyed your video. I think you have a good idea and are funny. Also, great shirt! :)
My only problem with this is that I can't stop crying. I'd like to. But I can't. And I'm worried I never will.
A clever video and original. Funny group of people. Good writing. Keep up the good work. Interesting to watch and look forward to see the new directions you take the videos in the coming weeks.
I've been following these guys for a long time, I'm always dying to see new content and I get excited just thinking about what they could do if they won this contest.
Hmm.
lol
What is this dream job which the guys are seeking? Does it even exist? Is it a single driving "I'm a dancer" type of ambition where nothing will do until the dream of prancing around in tights on stage for a living is realized or is it a moving target where each week the dream is different? Or, assuming there were jobs in Ptbo. is the dream job a moving target that changes weeks after getting the dream position only to find out it is.. hard work / full of ants / actually toxic / has a boss who whips cubicle workers / involves a co-worker who is uber-flatulent etc, etc, etc
In this particular instance, the dream "position" we're looking for is the winning position in the ComedyCoup contest. We decided we could show how different we were from the rest by framing it in the style of what our show is like!
Don't know how wild I was about the acting but the concept looks like it has promise. I see these two guys walking into hotels with free continental breakfasts and filling their sweatshirt pockets with those mini boxes of cereal :-)
This wasn't even able to hold my attention for the 2 minutes it took to end I didn't realize it had stopped because I was distracted by the dog eating his food! Yes it was that dull sorry to be so blunt but better that then all the bulls hit in these other comments
Don't ever change, Jo-Anne.
Thanks, Jo-Anne!
it looks great guys! I feel liek you could have used some patriotic jungle punks music during the climactic speech - and I loved the plea at the end.
Another great video by the extremely talented Jobless team! Your creativity, resourcefulness and tenaciousness continues to shine through that $4.00 lens! :)
Can't stop watching to see what Adam and Mike will do next!
awesome!
Ummm...still waiting for my cameo...hello?...hello?....I was the naked ass on Ganza...hello?
Slick approach with the job interview, love the characters and dialogue.. speaking of characters i wonder how many i have used in this comment, who am I to critique anyone else's project?? we are all in this together against each other. Nice work - Wharf Rats.
I like the characters, they are great foils for each other, and I feel like I know them well just after the Week 3 video. Pretty successful video in my opinion.
Ha - I'm going to try this on my next job interview :)
Thanks so much, Aaron! We appreciate that.
I laughed until I cried! Mainly because I realized you talented bastards would be responsible for kicking my ass out of this competition.
There's plenty of room for more people to be Jobless, Jay!
Great guys with lots of creativity! Would love to see them take this show to the next level
Oh jobless men...definitely apt for current economic situation in world and what better way to not get down about it than to laugh at it...so how long is this guy planning to be jobless though?
I love the idea of two guys that just can't get jobs, in fact the idea of more and more people being jobless and desperate, like an epidemic of joblessness and the montage of hilariousness that can ensue when the entire city becomes jobless. A city with no jobs! I'd add more montages but otherwise I'm curious to see where they would go with the story.
Great honest intensity from Mike and several laugh out loud moments of snappy dialogue. "White MALE privileged." Perfect.:-) "Totally broken." If someone stole my shirt from the gym I'd be honoured to see it strapped to Adam's frame. Nice cameo from a local teacher/patriot.
Nice approach, answered the question clearly and concisely and on multiple levels. Very snazzy shirt, I like to think Adam gave it a wash first but somehow I doubt it.
I like how you guys managed to answer this mission with a simple yet still humorous video. I definitely would have enjoyed seeing more about your show though, from the synopsis I take away that it's about two unemployed guys, but in your videos I don't find this very well explained. Good luck with the competition!
Funny approach. I am cheering for all the team from Peterborough. Best of luck
Funny work, Gents, once again!! .... and that is a FINE looking shirt!!
I love Jobless! it makes me laugh every time I watch. Keep it up guys!
Hilarious!!
hahahaha... funny guys. Love it, good work! :D
Great work!
Loved it, thought you guys stayed true to the characters. Keep up the good work!
Your video was actually funny but you didnt convince me that it was more original than the other concept I just have the impression that there is nothing new in this concept and I hoped that with the mission of the week you would have attempted to show why you are not one amonsgt 150 projects but you didnt even try to achiebe the mission in this video
if you try hard enough, you can achiebe your dreabs
Hey Felix! Thanks for taking the time to check out our video and for offering your feedback. We definitely tried to achieve the mission, and felt that we communicated our key points (most of them anyway, 90 seconds is an awfully short time) whilst maintaining our commitment to the characters and overall style of the show. We're sorry that we were unable to hook you with this instalment, but hope that we can turn you around in the future. Please stay tuned! It's our hope that we'll make a believer of you.
Felix my man, I understand where you're coming from and it IS something we should totally focus down on in our videos from a content stand point. What we were expressing here was how we can produce content cheaply and that we are endlessly self effacing, but we also totally need to do is show you everywhere this show can go. We start off with the basic premise of two guys can't get a job but the efforts they put forth in finding work take us to a wide variety of places that could last many seasons. We can do parody and more cinematic sequences, as well as bottle episodes (similar to what you see above). We also produce the show online right now and it can be found by searching Mike and Adam are Jobless on YouTube, so not only can you see an example of the show's breadth, you can also see why we think the show could exist not only as television but also web content for the CBC.
Thanks for the feedback, Felix! Glad you found the video funny, but sorry you didn't feel we were unique enough. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose! Good luck to your team if you have one or the team you're supporting!
