Hey guys, I'm Rachel from "Table Scraps". Really liked your teaser video. I watched all 285 of them within the first couple of days of the acceleration. Only 82 including our own, I thought had potential or deserved to move onto the top 100. But yours....yours was the only one that actually made me LOL!! Seriously. I was laughing hard about it for days. I had the song stuck in my head for a few days as well. Lol. Anyway, hope you make it to the top 50! Cheers.

Quite the competition from the east to the west coast and such an excellent group of participants makes it hard to pick just 15. I hope CBC gives you each a coffee mug or something for getting to the top 55. Best wishes to all.

Very creative-I love the character, the actor's so charismatic and enthusiastic he gets you excited just watching. Interesting take on the typecast character as well-different from what I would expect. Despite it being a bit of a canadian version of the show 'nanny' already, I still like it.

I still do not understand what your show is about. Is it supposed to be like a reality show of this old lady? I think it is a funny character but what if it was more like a Mrs. Doudtfire where she had her own show but it was geared towards adults and adult humor.

Hi Nanny Walbourne, nice to meet you and charming to be in your home and follow you around the town. Even though the old man in drag doing the old woman is classic comedy and for my funny bone has always worked. I can see how you could expand on this with her traveling around not only her town but all of Canada and dealing with our diverse cultures. I have had the privilege of living in Nfld for 4 years and grew to appreciate the people and their culture and enjoy getting snippets of it when I can. I can see where the accent could be a wee problem for some. It took me awhile to a-tune my ear to it when I was there. Perhaps flatten it out a bit for those who are not a-tuned to it. Do you remember the short lived Nfld. comedy, "Hatchin', Matchin" and Dispatchin'. Hilarious concept and cast. But in my opinion it didn't go main stream because the average person who hasn't been a-tuned to the Nfld. accent didn't get a lot of the dialogue. Pity.
    So you GO GUYS.......good luck.
Oh and you had me at the skateboard scene......too funny :-).

I have two great loves, sassy old ladies, and drag queens. You’re combining my two loves. People seems to adore information shows – we loved when Marg Delahunty interviewed the political folks and we love seeing Mike Rowe interview regular joes, and Rick Mercer exploring Canada on a person-by-person basis– there could totally be a place for Nanny Walbourne in this pantheon of info-comedy shows.

However, how will you avoid letting the show get stagnant? How will Nanny Walbourne, should you win, continue to innovate and interest your viewers? Will there be any story of “Nanny” or will each episode stand alone?

I would have to agree with Deanna on this one. It seems like you've just taken Mrs. Doubtfire and are trying to to make a series out of it. I don't think it's on the same level as Mrs. Doubtfire though. I'm not sure if this could make it as a series. It kind of seemed that around 45 seconds you also lost your accent. Good luck with the competition though!
