Geoff had it all...until he didn't. In desperate need of a roommate, a ninja answers the call.
View ProjectThis week challenged teams to flip their concept on end and we took it to the max! Prepare for a twist in the Geoff and the Ninja storyline you did NOT see coming! Which is extra funny, you see..because nobody ever sees ninjas coming... It was a joke, people... Jesus.

I LOVED your video this week! This was your best one yet! It was like a full OTHER trailer for the flipit that could potentially be a whole OTHER show in itself. I also think that your flip it could be initiated at any time if you wanted to! You could start the show with this concept or you could pull this out mid season for a change up! You really showed the versatility of Geoff and the Ninja this week! and...everyone loves murder mystery and comedy/horror! You stuck with the theme of your show and the characters you have already introduced and took it in a different direction.
I loved the editing and production value, the music suited the video, the sounds (my favorite part is when Geoff blows the powder at the fridge, that moment is perfect) and all the little things that you add that are so subtle like the blood coming down from the title at the end.
Last point. Promise... I loved that you actually did a second trailer for this idea and SHOWED us your flipit, many of the other teams had good fliipit ideas but too much time was spent talking about it and not enough time showing us the funny and the effort of making a well produced video to highlight it.

Haha this week was a tough one...we really felt the pain of distance on this more than any other and pushed our limits with green screens to the max. Hopefully it pays off for folks in the video!
Can't wait to see who gets burned in the up coming ROASTS, watch out for flying SMELTS or even CRABS, ya never know what those Wharf Rats will be up too and you guys with NINJA STARS and KARATE CHOPS, no one is safe, Good luck to all!!!

This was a tricky one! We're trying to get more banter between Geoff and Ninja which is pretty tough since we're 800km apart haha..a good challenge though!

Haha yep! For the trailer we were able to fly me up from Vancouver. Everything since then has been split between down here and up there. Logistical nightmare but we never would've thought of the ghost ninja flip if it weren't for our rather unique situation, so it has unexpected benefits!
If nobody sees why this #Flipit is so great, watch it again. Better yet, watch all 6 weeks! Great video. All the elements I look for are here. Keep it coming guys. Look forward to seeing more.

I can't stop watching each week over again. This is just so funny! As a physiotherapist you must only work on funny bones. If you are unemployed the joke is on those who have not hired you. Your green screens are the same color as those who are envious of your talents. A real Ace Team here!

this video is really really good. It was super entertaining and hilarious. It also had amazing characters thrown in to show us what is to come! The camera angles and cinematographer was the best of this competition by far! great work!
Thank you Mia! The premise allowed Ninja to be out for most of the video this time which really freed up our options with the camera (constant green screens = locked off shots). Dan is a dolly obsessed and it paid off here haha some of the shots that had to be cut for time are heart-breakingly good. We will likely release an extended version of this to show off his great work!
wow! this is unreal!!! the pirate at the end did it for me. It was entertaining from beginning to end and made me laugh out loud. I cannot wait to see what you guys do next and you are my top pick for sure!!

Good job guys!! This one was my favorite :) I like the direction this show seems to be going in, more over the top less boring comedy... I also enjoy having a banana pie, might sound strange but bananas make a mean pie, i recommend trying it just like watching this hilarious film..why not enjoy a banana pie as you watch it.

Awesome ...keeps getting better as we go here. I"ve let my kids 7-13-16 and grandson 4yrd old watch it and they laugh and want me to replay the ones you've made so far. Definately "family" comedy which is very refreshing. They even thought the first one was funny with the kid so if you guys don't get the win this family of 6 are going to be so disappointed. We need funny family shows on tv. Good luck guys

We really want to make a show that walks a fine line of juuust about going too far while still being family friendly and entertaining enough for everyone, like how the best Simpsons episodes were able to do. We've had lots of moms disapprove of the kid-kick but kids themselves love it haha so hopefully, we're on the right track!

I've watched all the videos for the remaining 15 teams and I gotta say that you guys rank #1 for me. I commented about you guys earlier saying that I thought this show has a world of potential and and I still think that's the case. I definitely want to see this one in a full length episode.
My one wish is to see some character development in the Ninja. I want to know more about him, his backstory, his motivation, his goals!

I love this video, it is the best flipit in the top 15! The production value was awesome, great filming, cuts, music, camera angles, special effects, it all worked! I also liked the little bit you added after the title card of you guys goofing around. Looks like it would have been fun to shoot!

Developing and producing a story line for this week's Flip It challenge was a wonderful treat for your fans! Everyone's getting a better sense of what your team is all about, and your mad skills. For me, details like the hand print on the fridge, Jon's 'detective' persona, and the large ring dangling from the little ring in the filthy pirate's nose, all enriched the experience of watching your video short.
Keep entertaining us with your comic vision!

We really pushed ourselves this week because we were disappointed in our last two efforts and wanted to up our game big time. This was a tough challenge, VERY open-ended which we actually loved. They posed the challenge of doing something totally different but made a point of saying "it's not uncommon for a show to change direction mid-season" and we took that to heart. We really strove to present a Flip story that could work both from the start or as a twist at any time and we're so happy that people have enjoyed it!

Most of the lines from the pirate were improvised as well. The costume was made mostly out of female clothing. Which Shaun (the pirate) had an abundance of in his closet.
