Hamilton eh... I used to live there and unless things have cleaned up a lot since 2002, that's a city that could use some Randy Justice!! However is was the home of the Hamilton Strip and Red Rockets chicken wings so it ain't all bad! And of course, some very funny dudes live there! Keep it up guys and you'll be back on top in no time. PS.... tell your dad Smith and Smith was the shit!!

Hamilton's sort of like my other hometown. Tons of family there and some interesting experiences. I suggest since the wharf rats have a history with hamilton that we go there and team up with randy justice to help clean up the streets.

So another group with celebrity backing. Not to be mean but Red Green (Steve Smith) come on. Why are you riding on coat tails. Try being yourselves. If the talent is there you don't need it.

Actually we have avoided this like the plague. No endorsement, no cameo, no pleading to the RG fanbase. We acknowledged that we learned under him for a few years and are better for it. Not sure how that's riding coattails. Oh well. Thanks for watching.

Hahaha, I love that you guys talk about not knowing your own concept when you began. That works for me because I don't believe concept carries a show as far as talent. It's clear to me that you're funny and experienced.

Nice use of the brass knuckles on your sell sheet to draw attention to the breasts of the only female involved in this project. I guess you know your audience but fuck you. This from a fan.

Hey Randy Justice, I feel bad for singling you out. Your crew has only spread positivity across the ComedyCoup comment boards. But I'm still frustrated by that joke. I understand that sexism is part of a 90s action genre parody but I'm looking to you guys to subvert it.

Actually there are a few female characters in this but we won't be using brass knuckles to draw attention to their breasts, they'll all be completely naked.

To be honest I just dropped the brass knuckles on the only available space on the sell sheet because I thought it was a funny touch. If we wanted to be sexist and demeaning we wouldn't be that subtle, you must not have seen Sons of Butcher.

Thanks Patrick. Ouija Mike was just a character in a sketch but it was funny to us to take him out of context so that it looked like an actual show pitch. And now that you mention it it probably is better than anything else we were trying to get made. Good luck in top 15 - we're fans of IP.

Only tip I have is in regards to what someone mentioned before, the like-ability of your lead actor... just have him do something nice early on to show he's not THAT bad (a la "save the cat" ;)

I feel like these guys are the underdogs of the competition. They've been beaten down after their success ended and now they are on their way back. Some people don't like the Underdog "tactic", but I feel they've given a clear history of their previous work and have been honest that they had no idea what they were doing in the first place. I like that. They get a vote.

This is the first video I've seen from this group, and I'm not too ecstatic about the underdog tactic you're using here. This is purely a criticism of your marketing strategy, and not your idea; although given that this is the first thing I've seen about your project, I'm not too sure what it is. Successful week five videos have done a great job at re-iterating what's already been said about the project for new voters who have just begin following the group, while also offering some new information. Of course, your marketing strategy might be for others, but it's not to my taste.

The sell sheet is there to lay out what the show is. We could have pitched the show concept in this vid as others have done, but would media types write about it? I doubt it. We thought they might write a broader piece about the industry, ComedyCoup's disruptive emergence within that industry, and use us as an example of formerly-successful but currently-disenfranchised goofballs who were brought back into the fold by an opportunity that simply didn't exist even three months ago. We didn't mean to portray ourselves as underdogs - and if we came across like that, that's our fault - our focus was more on how difficult and fickle this industry can be, and how ComedyCoup is a preferrable model.

More than anything though - all of these HypeIt videos are meant to be consumed alongside the Sell Sheet, and if you don't read the sheet you're not really seeing the whole picture. Thanks for your comment.
