A disgraced police cadet attempts to make a difference in the world by joining the Park Rangers
View ProjectDifferentiator: What separates 'Ranger Bay' from other concepts. The show uses a strong, female lead character. Site specific show takes place in a major, urban park, in a major, Canadian city, Vancouver. The show makes reference to local British Columbian and Canadian specific events. Comedians are brought in as characters in the park to 'rant' about social issues that bother them.

Congratulations on making it to the Top 55! You guys are doing a great job at keeping in the run and really showing great enthusiasm over your project. I really believe in you guys and want to see this thru to the end. Best of luck moving into the top 15.
Female leads rule! This is a fun concept! I like Canada's park system! It's a great program and people got to work there! Let's see them in action!
I appreciate that you kept it PG, that the video was informative, your use of setting as a unique character, and your choice of a female lead! Also, definitely looking forward to seeing Fred Ewaniuk on TV again! Keep it going!
This strikes me as a show that requires you to live in Vancouver to get the jokes. It certainly has potential though as jokes like that have work for shows like Portlandia. Good luck with the project!
I will say two things.
Great potential for a west coast comedy with flash backs to Beach Comber's.
There is a view of humor from every angle , that each character will grow on the viewing audience.
I'm liking this Ranger Bay series already. "give us more ! "
Love that you are filming in Stanley Park! It makes a great setting.
Not sure that I would care about this project since I don't live in Vancouver. Might be a better concept for a local station. The rest of us might not get all the Vancouver jokes. Just sayin..
The differentiator video concept is a difficult one to pull off because everything has been done before.
Loving this concept and having a female lead with Stanley Park as a back drop is just awesome. Plus who wouldn't want to poke a little fun at Vancouverites.
Lovin the sneak peaks (get it peaks~ Vangroovy). Fantastic work, great premise and...allowing "improv".....genius KUDOS Jamie et al. BTW- perhaps chg title to RANGER "BAE" !! I'll go away now :-/

Love the idea boys. So many places a show like this could go. Nailed the mission
Great on you for show casing Stanley Park in Vancouver as it is beautiful. Some funny parts for sure look forward to seeing more.
It is my understanding that the fans get to decide who moves ahead in this competition…..so I am not sure how that will work.
Very different from other videos of this mission. Very simple idea. But it works, I am looking forward for next video
Please create a how that makes fun of Vancouverites! I really want the rest of Canada to enjoy how fun it is to poke jokes at all the crazy people living in B.C.
Haha I love the irony of a police cadet accidentally starting the Stanley Cup riot! Way to make fun of an incredibly embarrassing moment in Vancouver's history. It's good not to forget these things so we don't repeat the same mistakes, but it's also nice to be able to laugh at ourselves!
Great idea. I really hope to see this show on TV! The cast looks great and the idea is something of like to se happen. Keep it up Rangers!!!
Nice premise! 'Coupla things - Brinn needs an epic monologue r two. And, further to the Stanley Park motif, a Rocket Raccoon cameo would be really cool… but you've probably heard that a thousand times already, eh? Anyway, I've got a roach smoldering away here so - great work, all the best :)
really love this concept and the cast is great too. good luck making it through to the next round, wowee!
Love the setting and the idea of the show. The riot starting by accident was cool and original!! Sincerely - your friends from "Fruit Farm"!
ahah so funny. hope to see this project make the top fifty. love the concept!!!! good luck.
I hope to see more of this project in the future. It looks like it has a lot of potential. Comedy never goes wrong with a funny female.
Cheers Amanda!! Couldn't agree more ;) <3
LOVE the concept of filming a show about Vancouver, in Vancouver and actually acknowledging it AS Vancouver. This city is a minefield of comedy potential and I can't wait to see more. Would love to see more of the actual characters though - assume that's coming. Here's hoping you make it all the way.
If you're going to advertise a strong female lead character, it seems incongruous to have 3 men talk about it when apparently Brynn (sorry if misspelled couldn't find her name on your project pages) was behind the camera. I understand she's an actress and perhaps not a creator of the project, however, it doesn't seem unfair to think a female perspective would enhance the role of a strong female lead.
Unless that was all part of a joke that I've failed to understand.
you guys are so clever, can't wait to see more...talent is oozing
Nice!
Love this show. Amazing
Still interesting.
Looks interesting and LOVE the location! ALL the best
Great title.
I think it's interesting that you are commenting on the Riots. I also like your focus on Improvisation and Vancouver as a location! Good luck!
Hope to see it in the top 50! Very excited about this project. A great, unique concept and excellent writing.
Great setting.
I would have liked to see a bit more human interaction. each scene brought something to the table but not enough. Maybe adding some better scene cuts would do the trick.
I think this show is an amazing idea. LOVE that you have a female lead. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to watch.
Awesome idea - can't wait to see more!
I love Vancouver! Go for it!
Love the energy and the concept has great potential as well.. This town will definitely be happy with a show that invites different comedic talent for every show.
Working with comedians as guests of the park seems like a great idea! I'd love to hear some 'ranters' going off in a hilariously comic way. Also, it would be a good way to make fun of Vancouverites and Canadians in all their glory. So many talented and funny Canadians. Keep up the great work everyone!!!
I think it could definitely be interesting to use random improv actors throughout the show. It may be a little risky though and slow down the filming of the series because you will be taking a chance on random individuals to be funny. Good luck in the competition guys!
I think this is a really unique idea and something that would do well in Canada. I liked the setting of your video... seems like you guys are pretty funny! Will keep a look out for week 4 product!
Keep it up. Seems fun
Ranger Bay. Great concept. It will be interesting and fun if the creators really do let them improv a little. There is a script but it can change a little if the actors contribute as you go. I think this will add excitement. Looking forward to watching this Ranger Bay.
There seems to be quite a few female lead comedy shows in ComedyCoup so not sure if that is different enough, but good luck.
Great concept and setting for a show. Love that you have actors/comedians that can improv as I believe that can add to the humour and fun. Looking forward to seeing more of the characters and storyline.
I love this concept! Stanley Park is a great setting, and provides lots of opportunities for a whole range of exciting characters - I can't wait to see more! If there is lots of improv happening on set - I hope we'll get to see some outtakes at some point... Keep up the good work!
Looks very interesting and love the location!
Improve and a scripted mix can be a great combination. Looks like a lot of fun indeed..
Big fan of the concept but I'm not sure using a "strong female lead" is as original or different any more (thank goodness)! Much more interested in the idea of letting your actors improvise...excited to see what's next.
thanks for the comment Megan R. We agree it's no longer original/ different, but we did notice a lot of XY chromosomes in the contest, and thought it might help to mention before voting opened. Thanks for your support...
I like the concept of the show and the idea to let comedians let loose and do their thing is great. It's where the magic comes from. Also the poking fun at a city you love is great. Gotto be able to laugh at yourself.
I'm wearing lululemon pants and drinking a latte right now!
I also really, really, really really like it. And I'm not just saying that so that I can get to 100 characters in this comment so that I can earn another voting badge...
I hope everyone takes the time to comment on your videos with as much care and attention as I've seen you posting. C'mon man, it's worth the extra minute of thought to actually SAY something.
Great concept!!! What's not to love about making fun of Vancouverites?? The rest of Canada will love it.
Awesome! Good stuff guys. Some handsome canucks fans, who ARE those guys ;-)
Looking great guys! Can't wait for more!
Fabulous.. Love the team ..
I love the idea for this series. The TV show is going to be great but I'm holding out for the movie - full length feature.
