"Fresh" is how I'd describe the Stuff of Things. I like that it's a sort of parallel to Nature of Things and has a bit of cerebral humour to it. I also totally like the blood bit. Now that's comedy. Good Luck!

I loved everything right up until the 'blood' scene ……. at which time I got freaked out. My imagination ran away with me (pun intended). Can't get that image out of my mind. Don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I've got a phobia for anything needle related.

Great sounds and very visually pleasing, I was however not sure if the questions being asked were seriously going to be answered or part of a joke, which got me more intrigued! I'm excited to learn some wacky facts :)

There's something very enjoyable about seeing a parody of scientific shows, especially those done with a straight face and a dedication to the joke. It's like a tabloid science magazine, but with moving pictures and also not a magazine.

Not really funny. David Suzuki has worked for years on CBC to promote environmental awareness...I don't think CBC would be interested in a show that pokes fun at it.

Not a lot of yuk-yuks in this clip, but the video is beautiful. Lovely colour. Interesting format. Too bad I don't get a sense of where the humour will happen.

This is a cool concept for a show. It does for science what the colbert does for politics. A show like this could go really far with strong writing. If it doesn't work for TV I think it would kill as a web series. Good luck!

I like the videos and I like the humour. I get tired of the format of the nature of things even for a documentary so Im not sure I could keep up with that show and keep up with this one as well....might lose interest.

I really liked this video, I am able to relate and you guys are pretty funny! The camera angles are great and I am really interested to see where you go with this in your next video.

I think that this is a really cool idea and i think that it would make a great series. This would also reach a lot of different people of different age groups! well thought out and I'm impressed!

Wow I'm very impressed with some of your shots. The show looks great. A comedic documentary is a very compelling idea. I'd like to see more. I also enjoyed the spoof of the name: The Nature of Things vs. The Stuff of Things. We went for the same approach with Ranger Bay (Danger Bay). The concept is quite interesting and I see the potential for captivating people's attention - I really hope you have an episode to track down that black hole of missing socks!

super intrigued

This could be really good or really bad. I'm just not convinced that this falls into the former. As someone who LOVES documentaries I'm intrigued at the possibility of a documentary/comedy high-bred. The danger is you are now tackling two very difficult genres. Will this marriage work?

One of the few projects I've seen that would actually work as a half-hour show. Could have easily been super dull but the surrealist questions and deadpan delivery really work!

This looks great! I love the funny questions presented in a very serious way. It's like "the onion" of shows.

I like what i saw and what i heard, i just don't know how it fits in with Comedy Coup. Some of the stuff you brought up I would have never thought of like a car running on blood... great thinking... but how do you bring this to fit in? I see it in a documentary, but on comedy... not sure. Good luck though!

You concept is definitely creative and a series can easily be made as there are so many directions you can take it. I'm just wondering if this is something people really want to watch on TV? I feel that people enjoy learning about new things and finding out new interesting information (like from shows such as The Nature of Things or How it's Made) but would they sit down to a show that is a mockumentary style and really isn't telling them anything factual at all? Good luck in the competition!

But are there some questions that shouldn't be asked? Is there no line that The Stuff of Things is unwilling to cross? It's a slippery slope from Dolphin Swearing to Crustacean Pornography, and nobody wants to see that.

I like this so far -- The Stuff of Things is funny and aims for a higher level of comedy writing, plus it's lleaning on a parody of a Canadian classic, not just Canadian stereotypes. Week #1 is a great example of what it's aiming for -- I hope you get the chance to go farther!
