Synopsis

The Communers is a satirical documentary web series that centers on newly arrived communal residents, Jack and Brandi, as they attempt to start their new life off the grid. It will feature an ensemble cast of unconventional characters and will be filmed in a mockumentary style.

Will Antoniuk is a freelance Animator, Writer, Director, Producer and owner of the production company Wishing Tree Entertainment. He brings over 13 years of experience and has worked on a number of shows in Toronto and Winnipeg. A board member of the Gas Station Arts Centre, Will enjoys writing young novels, developing board games and playing hockey in his spare time.

Mel Marginet is a co-founder and artistic director of Theatre by the River. When not performing on the stage and screen, she can be found producing and working on film and theatre projects. She's worked as an assistant director, production assistant and production manager, and co-wrote The History of Theatre, a finalist for the Best New Manitoba Play.

    Would've liked to see what they do in the Communers. The concept has potential but isn't shown well in the concept video.
