Synopsis

Ron, a socially inept insomniac, takes to the streets of Toronto each night to cope with his disorder. He continually finds himself surrounded by the nighthawks, ne’er-do-wells, and people stuck working the graveyard shift; all played by six-member sketch troupe Cash Grab.

Toronto After Dark presents a series of comedic premises that loosely connect to show all the absurd stories taking place in a single night in the city. Each episode features original characters, parodies pop-culture, and satirizes politics throughout Canadian night-time history. At night.

Toronto After Dark is sketch comedy on its fifth cup of coffee and will make you reconsider leaving your door unlocked.

Steve Gignac

Producer, Editor

Steve Gignac was raised in Tillsonburg, Ontario - the most famous small town that you’ve never heard of. He writes and performs with Cash Grab, a sketch comedy troupe based in Toronto, and also performs stand-up comedy. Steve somehow graduated from McMaster University in 2009, majoring in Theatre and Film Studies. His doctor insists that he is done growing.

Bruno Seiler

Producer, Marketing / Social

Bruno Seiler is an aspiring writer, actor, graduate of the Humber Comedy Program, and a member of the sketch troupe Cash Grab along with his fellow teammates.
He hopes to one day do voice work and create children's cartoons.
His interests include gaming, creative writing, and nerd-related activities.

Kyle Woolven

Showrunner, Director

Kyle Woolven (Belleville, Ont.) has a degree in English and a diploma in Comedy; two things that are very useful in the real world. He won a David Goodman Comedy Award and is a member of the sketch comedy troupe Cash Grab. As a comedian, writer, actor, producer, director and musician, his only goal is to create -- always.

I've seen these idiots perform live, and let me tell you... it is something to behold. 6 creative geniuses working together in perfect harmony and the results are hysterical. As hardworking and professional as they are silly and insane, these dinguses are extremely deserving of the top prize. Come on, Canada! Give these kids a shot!
