Synopsis

TREEPLANTERS is a half-hour comedy about the crazy subculture of tree planting in the Canadian wilderness. Created by the award-winning comedy troupe The Templeton Philharmonic (CBC Punchline's WOMANISH, "Best Sketch Troupe" L.A. Comedy Fest), TREEPLANTERS follows 27-year-old Martin Dupre as he quits his drab office job and embarks on a season of tree planting with his stoner college pal, Sky. Beleaguered by bugs, bears, and an assortment of zany co-workers, Martin quickly begins to question his own judgement. A fast-paced, single-camera sitcom, TREEPLANTERS stars a stellar cast featuring some of the best comedic talent Canada has to offer.

Trust goes a long way in comedy, and knowing the work of the Templeton Philharmonic, I have the utmost faith that, "Treeplanters" will become more than just a "contest-show" but something that can have depth and longevity.
