With an endearing and relatable cast of characters, Upstaged celebrates a diverse and unique community. At its heart, this is a film about an unlikely group brought together by an ambitious director’s dream: to best the rival theater company. Throughout the increasingly hectic audition and rehearsal process the characters locate a sense of community, purpose, and identity.
