Synopsis

Fishin' boats and licenses are hard to come by in the small harbour-town of North Rustico, PEI, and anybody who’s anybody has 'em. Hughie and Martin, small-minded brothers who’ve never dreamed of anything but fishin', have been waitin’ their whole lives for their inheritance: their father’s fishing licenses and his old (but faithful) boat, Big Knots. But when their father dies suddenly and their mother announces she’s marrying her long-time, much younger lover Angus — the brothers’ nemesis from high-school — they begrudingly watch as their inheritance falls into Angus’s lap. With their dreams at risk, the two land-locked wharf rats scheme ways to to get their Big Knots back.

The Sell Sheet is actually really good so I bump this up to a 3. But I don't find the show at all funny. CBC FFS please stop spending money on lame maritimer shows with lame jokes. Ron James and 22 Minutes and that detective show and the other 14000 are enough thank you.

Cute concept, but kind of limiting I feel. Love the name though - that got my attention right away. FRom a technical standpoint, the voice over sounds different (room tone wise) for each character which makes it seem weaker than it is. Some different music would help this I think.

Good sketch. It was funny. I don't know if they can do a 30min. show though. Would like to see what else they can come up with.
