Fruit Farm would be a ½ hour locational sitcom based on the stand up comedy of Joe Pillitteri. Joe’s entire upbringing was a series of adventures and misadventures with a foul mouthed Italian immigrant father and an overly religious Scottish immigrant mother. Fruit Farm takes a wry look at both past and present in the life of Joe and his family growing up on a farm in the heart of Niagara.

Synopsis

Joe grows up with two sisters as the son of a hard working and crude Italian father and an overly religious Scottish mother. Every summer he works 90 hours a week on his father's farm with coworkers from all over the world. There is hilarity in what happens on the farm (negotiating wage increases with a base rate of $2.00 / hr, dealing with Italians trying to steal from the farm, being in charge of pesticides as a boy). There is conflict between a dad who expects Joe to work all the time and a mom that would like him to go to church more often. When girls become interested in Joe he is torn between wanting to date and having to work. 10000 audience members agree: Fruit Farm is hilarious

This would be an awesome regular sitcom! The concept is just great and one that many Canadians can relate to. We have all worked on a farm or have families in the business. Also Niagara's scenery has so much to offer the viewers. Great idea, love it!
