Two dudes accept a bet for $1 million where they can't leave their apartment for one year
View ProjectWhat makes us different?… Couch Dreams is an exciting new hybrid comedy. Part traditional sitcom and part sketch style through the use of dreams sequences where characters get "trapped" on the couch. Drake - a brown guy who was raised by white Mennonites is a another unique element of the series. It's also the first comedy series ever to be set in urban Saskatchewan.

Unusual premise. I wonder how the location in rural Saskatchewan will play out as, really, the couch and the apartment could be anywhere. Looking forward to seeing the dreams and story evolve.
Some not bad stuff here. Id certainly give it a try. I like the concept and the main actors are engaging. Hoping that they make it to the top 15.
Some good ideas here.
Dangerous concept, I'd say. Runs the risk of getting boring, but theres no way you didn't already think of that, so I'm sure you have a lot up your sleeves!
Concept is amazing and that Jody guy is hilarious.
hey boy-os well done, not a bad concept, not a bad concept at all, very intriguing, it's definitely different. Different than most of the projects that are on here.
Good luck lads!
You guys are hilarious!
Very interesting for sure! I like the idea of having the couch dreams to "escape" the apartment as it will let the viewers get out as well. I also like the brown guy getting adopted by Mennonites - we have a similar story to relate to, as do more and more people lately. The bet is just a way to set up the shows ideas, which is perfect. Can't wait to see more so I hope you win this!
Not a bad concept. Maybe a bit close to some others that are a bit better executed but there's still a ton of possibility here. Good luck.
That is definitely different. Sounds like fun! I'll be following this one.
I really like this concept of having to stay in the house and especially the dream sequences. How they would play out well I guess that is up to you guys right. I wouldn't mind seeing this as a film too.
Really interesting concept. Good luck!
Love these two alpha males and I believe if they were to dream on their couch I would want to see their dreams on TV. The question is wether the couch would be a fold out bed in the filming of the pilot.
Trevor you will have to come and crash on our couch at least a couple of times.
Interesting concept. Like the idea of the couch trap! Unique
looks interesting, good luck...
It is nice to see some Sask talent on here.
Yes! Nice concept; nice couch. I am interested in how you choose to use the dream sequences--I hope they get quite ridiculous! Good luck to you!!
Love it!
Hi again. I really like the idea of a dark guy getting adopted into a Hutterite Colony. They have an interesting life and many have settled in Canada. I do not get the couch thing and wonder if it just confuses the story. Your edit cuts are not that smooth, other than that great job!
Trippy. A lot of possibilities!
My hats off to you guys for originality. I know how hard it can be filming in the great parries of Canada especially once the snow starts to fly. nicely done guys
Good Luck Sask
This could get confusing and not keep people's attention to continue watching but it's certainly original!
Sask needs all the breaks it can get. Good luck!
The idea is definitely original. There is potential for a series here. I would just be worried about people being able to follow along with stories from the dream world and the real world. Good luck!
Totally far out there idea for sure. It will take some strong creativity to carry out your concept but I'm sure you will come up with some interesting ideas. Good luck with the rest of the competition.
Hi Jeanne. We have a very strong creative team to carry out the concept and make a great show! Thanks for commenting and thanks for wishing us luck!
Hmmmm, trapped on a couch? Is that crazy or genius? I'm still not sure. I was intrigued by the brown guy raised by Mennonites. Do you have more of that?
Hi Beverly. Yes the brown guy raised by Mennonites is a big part of the show. You will definitely see more of this in the series.
As there you guys only get 1 video a week to really show yourselves off in this comedy competition it would have been great if you made this video somewhat funny. You definitely completed this weeks mission, but in doing so you made me more confused about what your show is about (actually your second video did too). From your first video and your synopsis I was under the impression that your series is basically about 2 friends you can't leave an apartment for a year. So is this not the case? Are we just following individuals into their dream world when they sleep on this mysterious couch? Your ideas are interesting but it would be great if they could be made more clear. Good luck with the competition!
Thanks for the feedback Christina… We'll try and make it more clear in the future, but basically you get it. It's two friends that can't leave an apartment for a year, however a show taking place completely in an apartment would be boring and has been done to death so… we will use the dreams on the couch to allow us to periodically leave the apartment.
