Every week my family and I gather around my sisters laptop to watch the newest Heir Heads video. I don't know what would happen if they stopped. It's the only thing that is keeping us together.
Simply put: LAUGHING OUT LOUD FUNNY
Great going guys! I really enjoyed this. I have really enjoyed watching this concepts progress. Keep it up.
I hereby state that the following commentary is over the required 100 characters and is as follows: love it!
This is the future of Canadian television right here. This is it!! Look no further because these guys take funny to a whole new level
lowl killing it fellas. nothin like it. i really appreciate what you're doing here. youve got serious game and i have become a big admirer. you deserve to win this contest. you are definitely welcome to entertain me any time of the year. keep it up and be the people youve always wanted to be.
Well-acted and polished, and featuring funny dudes. It’s refreshing to see such confident performers in this. Seems like it could have broad appeal, though perhaps with a couple less f-bombs.
Time and time again you guys kill it. The concept is great, the acting is great, and the writing is great. I can't wait to what you guys do next. Good luck!
Looks like you guys are having fun with this. I'd love to see some more of what kind of situations these guys get into and the things that hit them in their day to day lives as wealthy sloths! Looking forward to more to come!
Nicely done fellows. Great lead actor and the supporting actor does just that, he supports...nicely. Love the crane shot. Ha ha ha.
Quite the competition from the east to the west coast and such an excellent group of participants makes it hard to pick just 15. I hope CBC gives you each a coffee mug or something for getting to the top 55. Best wishes to all.
Crane shots are always awesome, great ideas and execution. I tried that whole marry a rich old lady thing, but she kept thinking I was the help. Great job guys good luck.
Love it. Love everything about it. I'm a huge fan of the clever writing, the great acting and the over all concept. Way to go guys. I think you have a winner on your hands.
If you are receiving this comment then you are one of my top 15 favorites in this comedycoup.cbc.ca contest and you are congratulated for making the top 55 and doing a really good job on all the missions to date. That has been a lot of work so congratulations on your efforts!
Love this video; easily the best of the competition. The cast is super funny and the writing is great. I can't wait to see what you guys do next. All the best!
yo this is dope, you guys are fun to watch, and are probably the better group from BC. the editing is quick and the pace is what a comedy show should have, lets see more
This is a clever premise. The trick, as always, will be in the writing. Gotta figure a way to make it more than just a new get rich quick scheme each week. Though that IS a good start.
This is true high concept - built right into the title with its clever play on words. I like the premise, and your videos are solid. Wishing you good luck on the race to the top fifteen.
I really like the concept of this video it is really entertaining , its original, its well acted and it his honestly really funny. Way to go guys, your work payed off . Continue the good work and I want to see you in top 15
Good characters, good pace, good editing - l'd like to see more, keep it up.
Nice, I really think you guys had a good pace going. The dialogue flowed pretty well and the camera work was pretty smooth throughout.
Omg i love this project, everything is in it and its professional. Love the concept too!!! Keep the good work folks!!
Probably one of the best premises so far, characters seem to have personality too.
Great production value. its incredible what crane shot can do! good work and good luck in the next vote!
I thought this video was really cute, and funny. Especially liked the beginning when they're chatting and one dude is on the couch and looks to the side. At one point, the laugh track was too loud over their voices.
I really thought this was the best Differentiator. I enjoyed the way in which you explained and show what made your project special. Great job!
I watched this video when it came out and am now writing this comment to get more votes. You guys are one of the teams I'm following. Great actors. Have loved the nasally voiced guy forever. Hope this becomes a real show.
Very nice video. So clever. Well shot. You guys are very funny. Love the final shot. Royal - Littleton Falls Settler Village.
Congratulations on making the top 55 and good job on rounding up all those votes. Must be as quick at vote getting as you are in doing the the quick changes in the video. Will be watching to see how you do something different in the weeks coming up.
The differentiator video was definitely unique! The show's premise clearly allows for a lot of possible scenarios as you demonstrate here.
You guys have some charisma in front of the camera! Your timing on the cuts and the dialogue is expertly done.. lots of versatility with this project. Hope you guys do well with the project, all the best to you guys!
This seems like a great idea for a sitcom! I'd definitely watch it! Ryan Beil is such a funny guy, but the whole cast is great.
Haha! Loved the dialogue and the camera work, you guys nailed it. Hope to see you fellas in the top 15! You know what, here, take this high rating. TAKE IT!!!
Amazing cast, could watch Ryan Beil in his element all day, and he is certainly in his element in this well written and hilarious project.
This is the show that should win. Or atlas make it to the top 5! Really great stuff. Reminds me of Bottle Rocket!
Really clever, I love the Differentiator, well done!
I love Heir Heads. Guys, you nailed the Differentiator. Great comedy. Each time I watch it i pick up something new, like "buying a whole wiener mobile". You guys are hilarious. Hope you go to the end. Good luck.
Throwing in the crane shot. Nice. Always impressed with the writing on this show. Your jokes hit the mark and keep the viewer watching till the very end. Good luck in the Top 15 vote.
Love this concept!
For desperate floozies, you sure have a pretty good idea here! I really like the name of your show. Lucky for your team that you have the money for this quality of video production. Good luck guys!
We only spent money on the robes! Our main currency that we spend is favours!
The production values are high and I like what you are doing with your direction. this is one of the projects I will be watching in this comedycoup.
you guys are really talented. I like the camera angles and this was shot very well. I think you have a great shot and I look forward to seeing more.
Great week 3 video! Pretty hilarious and definitely tempts me to vote for you guys...You can really tell there's great chemistry between you two
Empire-ors ... Wiener Mobile ... I like how you strung it together. Look forward to seeing the next episode. You played off each other nicely ... there's potential here
These guys know what they are doing. I feel like they are the top contenders for this contest. They've got it all in my opinion. But hey what do I know? I'm sitting in my moms basement, critiquing people more talented than me.
I dunno, the first bit got me. Ha just kidding, in seriousness enjoyed the self awareness of the video. And when they were the playboys I laughed, which I think is the point of comedy.
Cool concept. What I liked the most is the cinematic techniques used here. Having watched the majority of the videos in the top 55 only a few have impressed me with filming styles; and this was one of them. What I like to see are groups who have used more experienced techniques in their productions. Its good to see that these guys know what their doing. Quick paced dialogue is also something that appeals to me and these guys had it. I'm interested to see what comes next from these guys. I thought it was really funny when one of the guys gave the middle finger to the camera man. Just something that stood out to me. GW.
Having Ryan Beil as one of the headliners alone is enough to make me watch, then his chemistry with Bruce seems to complete the deal. Also having worked with Cedric in the past, he is indeed a cameraman ninja.
You folks are fun to watch. It seems there's not much the two 'brothers' won't do to work their way towards a million dollars(except work)! The dialogue flows smoothly, and at a breathless pace, and the topic of how to legitimately make a million $$ is a fascinating one.
Great job with this video. It flowed very nicely and the jokes were good. It gave a good sense of what the series would be like.
Enjoyed all three of your teasers, especially liked week 3! Great concept, acting and filming! Very talented team! Good luck in the competition!
Good job! I really like the concept that you used for that one. The rhythm is great, and the straight face is hilarious. The emperor jock made me laughed out loud quite a bit. Good lock for the rest of the contest , I see a lot of potential in your project .
Good work, the rapport between the two is very strong, are you going to be breaking the fourth wall in the show as well?
Cleverly shot and edited. The writing, acting and directing complement each other very well.
The concept is fine and everything but what really makes you guys great is that you are really using the challenges and making the video's fun to watch. Kudos for that! I am excited to see what comes next from you two.
looking forward to more of this somewhat controlled insanity!!!
I've honestly enjoyed your videos since the first week. Three weeks later and I still enjoy your videos, wow! You guys seriously have some funny shit going on. I have a short attention span and you kept my attention the whole ti...oh look another video! Gotta go, keep it up!
Great acting dudes! I could really see this going places! Best of luck. Yours, Ben ( House Of Commons )
I love, love, love it. You guys have such an original idea, and incredibly talented actors to bring it to life! The chemistry between Ryan and Bruce is awesome, and so is their personal charisma - especially Bruce Novakowki's ;) The humour comes across effortlessly, being funny comes second nature to you both. I enjoyed watching the transitions between the different ideas, and costumes. The crane shot at the end was pretty funny. The show's concept sets itself up for endless possibility. I'm really excited for what is to come next for you all! I'm crossing my fingers that you get to No. 1! Best of luck.
I thought that the plot was well presented. You two are quite believable and demonstrate a good sense of humor. It really is too early to seriously predict if you are any other contributor will succeed in presenting broad audience appeal material.
I really like the idea and story, but it seems "forced" - almost overacted. This is probably due to the short time allotment for the teasers, but I hope to see this make it thru to the next round. Will be interested to see if/how it develops.
Reading through the comments I realize I may repeat much of what's already been said. I like the concept, great name, Ryan's delivery reminds me of a young John Lovitz. Reminds me a little of reality show meets A Night at the Roxbury, Hope you make the cut.
i like this
yeah i found it funny too
Hey guys, It's Dave Ricci (4Play). I gotta say, this is my fav project on here. Its such a great idea, with a PERFECT title, and executed perfectly. I can tell you right now, you will easily make the Top 5.
Keep kickin' ass! (P.s. love the "Cornetto Trilogy"-style editing) Its my fav style :)
This is such a great concept and name. Also up to and including the current video the acting and production values have been very professional. This is definitely one of my favourite entries in the competition.
Great concept and well executed. Also, the name is too good.
I like you show name. The concept is good too. As the rich get richer and the poor get poorer your audience will automatically grow! Looking forward to following you further.
This is really fun. Super funny. CBC would be lucky to get this show.
Me and my friends all love this one ! i won't say this is a very unique concept but def has meat on the bone ! i will def watch
I just watched Week #3 The Differentiator again (probably 10 times now, it's so good), and i just noticed another funny line about being umpires (by Dickie) and emperors (by Freeman). I didn't catch that before . That's what makes this movie so interesting, the funnies just keep coming. I hope the upcoming missions are equally funny. Very entertaining.
Cleverest name in the competition! I really appreciate the quality and watch-ability of your content. Challenge #3 watches like a trailer and demonstrates plenty of forethought and potential. Oh, and it's funny.
I don't want to like these guys. But it's hard not to! They have so much potential as characters! Love to see where it would go.
My favourite video of the competition so far. Cool concept and some smart, really funny jokes. This group's one of the best in the coup.
So good, you guys showed how funny you could be and be could you funny how. One of the top projects, perhaps the only project thats over the top but in a good way. Nice work film crew
this is one of few projects i really enjoying watching and following. i like the concept and the acting. looking forward to see more
Yes. I think us 99% and our kids would really enjoy tuning in to the old mother corp to see a couple of the idiot offspring bumble through our world. Bring on the class warfare! And the laughs!!!
Wow! Heir heads really captivated me from start to finish. it's a very clever concept. I love the guy's (with the darker hair) voice . It really draws you in right away. The title is very clever as well. It made me want to watch it. Well done!
Clever video. Good to see some great material coming out of Vancouver. Impressive to see this kind of production value pulled off in a week. Definitely look forward to see more of what you come up with!
I've been watching a lot of these videos and HEIR HEADS is one of the few that has great production value AND has a lot of potential. Real funny guys, keep at 'er.
HA! I solid pace fellas it looks like this will be potentially awesome
Not really a fan of it... It has potential...
good luck with finding work for 2 brothers lacking skills. If only you could get paid for desperation and keeping a sense of humour then you'd be styling. Well if you keep up the good work maybe ill have a hard time keeping loyal to my goons :) but I Enjoyed !
This is very funny. I like your syle, enthusiasm, minds, hearts, and I think you have something for reals on your hands here. Nice. Nice. Very nice. I like it. Good.
Love it. Love everything about it.
love it. More hair, more desperation
Great idea, good looking show. it has a touch of the familiar while still remaining unique. Really hope you do well in this competition.
Really enjoyed your videos. This is a great idea and very funny. I'm looking forward to seeing the different jobs/tasks these two get up to. Keep up the good work!
This is an amazing concept for a show! Very original. Can't wait to watch more!
I cannot wait to see what kind of skullduggery and tom-foolery these two rascals get up to. I'd very much enjoy this becoming a series!
I am starting to warm up to this one more and more. I even laughed out loud a few times. The two main actors play off each other quite well. This is definitely one of the better projects in this competition.
I have enjoyed this concept since the start. Definitely chuckled a few times!
It seems like anything Ryan Beil is a part of become comedy gold. The comedy in this project is quick and clever and I can't wait until I get to see more.
I actually really like this concept, think it definitely have the most legs out of a lot things I've seen on this site!
The crane shot had me laughing. I haven't seen your other weeks but I am heading to check them out now. Looking pretty good guys.
These guys are great
The first scene I was instantly bored but you guys turned it around on the street walk. Way to go. Could be an interesting show. Best of luck in the competition.
I really enjoyed this weeks Differentiator video. This is one of the best projects in this competition. I see how you can make a season of this. I'd like to see where these characters end up at the end of the season.
Good camera, good comedy, good hair. Great interpretation of the concept for the video. Best of luck in the competition ya Heir Heads!
Can't wait to see more!!!!
Good luck guys!!! Fingers crossed!!!
I love this differentiator video. Way to take the concept, explain why your show is different, while still showing it through the character's eyes. Perfect blend of doing the challenge and showing us more about the characters.
I loved it! Couldn't wait for the next quip. Good stuff. Move to go and collect $200!!
very well done, interesting and funny. I hope to see more from you in the future. Good luck with the competition
Love you don't cut to a shot of the child in the walk-and-talk. And walking away giving the finger is always the best and most dismissive -- can't even stand in one spot, that's how little you care! Gotta love an unnecessary crane shot too.
Brilliant way to convey your message with this video -- mission definitely accomplished. I love that you so wonderfully communicated all your points all the while demonstrating the style and tone of the show, and thoroughly demonstrating your ability to SHOW us your concept and not just telling us about it. I wish more teams were doing the same. Great work.
This group's got a lot of talent. It's true I've been seeing a lot of riches to rags stories recently with Schitt's creek and even Arrested development. But it's topical and you guys are funny. Best of luck!
Yeah, we didn't know Schitt's Creek existed until yesterday. That was a bummer. I still think we're different enough from it to merit both shows existing, so full steam ahead!
Thanks for your positive vibes!
I like the concept and the videos all look really tight. Nice potential for some great story arcs.
I agree with the comment below. These characters are great, I would enjoy over the season to see them grow and develop as human beings. IT's a fun concept and I see a lot of potential. You are right, this concept could take you anywhere, curious to see how creative you could be.
Oh you guys! The walk and talk! The emphatic gestures! The mid-sentence costume changes! The gratuitous crane shot! Why this has it all and THEN some! Love it!!!!
What a like alot about this project, besides the great acting and great humour, is the setting. Simon Fraser University is the perfect place for the setting of a lot of the shots. Good choice. Adds to the show.
love heir heads, my favourite by far so far. like the play on words, emperor, empire. great jokes. very funny, fast moving, great chemistry between freeman and dickie. best actors of all the projects i've seen so far. great career coming up for both of them. waiting for more…..
I like the concept and I could get on board with these two characters. Will they have any room for growth? I'd love to have hope that they might actually develop as human beings. Is their desire for wealth the be all end all?
Good job Heir Heads! Ryan Beil is a very funny guy and the concept is solid. The crane shot was totally necessary. I see you going far in the COUP - keep up the good vibes and the suits!
Great work, boys!
I really like your concept, but just got a little lost on how this differentiates you from the crowd. Looking forward to next week :)
Perhaps someone should kidnap YOU and NOT ask for a ransom?
This might be the most intense thing anyone has ever said to me.
Best log line in the "accelerator". Great concept.
I like this concept. It is in my top 5. You have done a good job presenting it to us, who have watched some bad concepts to get to the ones that we really like.
You two seem like you are a solid team. I like the back and forth between the two of you. Looking forward to seeing more!
I really like this. It seems very Vancouver. You two are funny, sure this will make the Top 50. Good luck!
I will admit that I was a bit concerned about the beginning, but it turned out to have great pacing and production value. Please tell me that the crane shot was an homage to Johnny LaRue!
I really like the idea behind this project . I am not sure how it is different than other types of sitcoms that came before it , but I like it. It would be fun to see how two entitled young men try to cope in the real world. Well ,It is fun for all of us who live in the real world anyway . Ryan Biel was funny even in the A& W commercials ! In this project with his longish hair and his dead pan delivery he really reminds me of Gene wilder. Good luck
Hilarious! I think your video for sure will make the top 50. I can't wait to see more of your material in later weeks, keep it up!
Great video guys you knocked it out of the park as always
The writing didn't tickle me as much this week... but like our team, I suspect you're juggling "real life" and "ComedyCoup". Which is exhausting. Can we all just collect our $500k now?
Based on the rest, loving it. Keep it up! -- OffLINE
You guys are funny, and your concept is great, these other words are only here so that I can gather a few more votes for my own project in the hopes of getting to the top 50... Cheers and seriously great job!
Harvest those delicious votes, my friend!
I think Heir Heads has awesome potential. Like Dickie said, their circumstances will change, opening up even more possibilities for the story. It really could go anywhere. And who doesn't like seeing Ryan and Bruce together. It's a winning combination!
Nice idea but I feel this has been done before. The characters are fun loving and the teaser was good. I just think the rich being poor has been done a lot and I am afraid material will be short. Good luck
the brothers have great chemistry. i think this will be part of the success of this film. can't wait to see more. i need more laughs to cheer me up. a laugh a day keeps the doctor away.
Hey brothers, too funny. love the jokes and puns. high energy. my kind of comedy. hope you go far.
This is my favourite Week 3 video so far - I liked so many aspects of it: writing, camera work, acting, all that jazz. Good job fellas, stoked to see more. :)
I appreciate Freeman's honesty, self-doubt and the chemistry between "brothers". They are in this together. I forsee many more laughs through their changing circumstances.
I'm not sure why, but this comment in particular made me really happy!
This has concept AND execution.
Too funny! Love the camera work and the fast paced comedy. I think the concept has a lot of potential. I would watch it!
These guys are good and their comedy is refreshing... Looking forward to what they come up with next.
No doubt that this is one of the best show in the competition; and seems like you guys have a pretty good solid team there
Heck, I would even watch that bad version of the show in the opening.
Good show concept and well executed ! quite original and very good acting; wish you guys the best of luck in the competition
When I die I'm going to leave all my money to Comedy Coup so shows like this make it to TV. Must say I love the idea that Heirs could spin off as a reality show; vicious fun. Great comedic acting, camera shots and editing. Keep the crane.
This video was hilarious. It's great that you've managed to keep the humour as strong as in your first video. I can't see you guys having any trouble in getting into the top 50, and if you don't make it then something isn't right about this rating system. Good luck to you guys! I don't think you need it though!
Really like these two gents. Good fast pace to the video and it was pretty funny. Good chemistry between the brothers. And I agree you can't make a show from your living room
I really enjoy this project from the week 1 video till now
you have a good concept and solid team ! good luck
I'll only watch if there is more crane shots. I have a fever and the only cure is more crane shots.
Enjoyed the video. Reminds of the older style slap stick humour at times. Good luck in moving forward
This is my favorite concept I've seen on here! Super funny content and really talented.. talent. Looks like its already tv ready. Congrats guys, regardless of the competition results I think you have a real winner here.
Your concept does have potential for a show (good bones, needs meat), although I think you need to push the boundaries. Umpires, emperors...good line.
This great guys, love the performances. Best Differentiator I've seen! Looking forward to seeing more.
Except for all that distracting text in your week two video, I am very much enjoying this project and can totally see it on TV! Keep up the funny! #sureknowalotaboutbeingpoor
This is awesome, guys! Great writing, wonderful acting, and very creative camera work. I love that it highlights how the show can go anywhere with it's concept while staying grounded, like how Futurama can do almost anything because it's grounded in a reality where basically anything is possible. The energy and style is also very unique and I'd love to see more.
Ben has a camera attached to a helicopter, why the fuck should he leave that room?
Great acting and writing here. The concept for the show is very funny and I can see you taking it to top 5 for sure! Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing more.
Haven't been able to watch most of them but this latest video is the best Heir Heads yet and the best Mission 3 video I've seen thus far. It's amazing when you're clicking through a bunch of missions how much just solid acting stands out. Bruce and Ryan crush it again here. Agree with some other comments about wanting to see who the other characters in this ensemble will be but I think that should be a task for another mission where groups will have more time to answer that, would have been too much to put in here. Can't wait for the next one boys!
10/10 Would buy the DVD's.
Week after week this has been one of my favourite projects. The concept may be something that doesn't feel entirely original, but I think what's being done with it is fantastic. Keep the funny flying.
Cool concept :) It has legs I tells ya!
looking good guys, I really hope this takes off so I can see these characters develop and meet some new characters as well. So many places you can go with this and I'm hoping that it's a long journey that I will undoubtedly have a major supporting role on my couch for! Keep it up!!
This is a really really well done submission! I've enjoyed all the material you've posted so far, and it reeks with potential . Great job guys, and keep it up!
This is the group near the top of the popular list that I am rooting for. I can get behind the two 'heir heads' easily but I would love to see more of the supporting characters that will pop in and out of scenes with these guys.
These guy are professional in their approach, they are funny, and the show could go in many different directions. I get it and I like it.
So it seems like people from other teams aren't actually offering constructive comments on competing projects, just mostly "I love you guys, you're the greatest, annnnnnd I've hit 100 characters so we're good for bonus votes". I understand the apprehension for potential comment-related blow back, but man, you've gotta be willing to take constructive (or non-constructive) criticism in this industry.
And with all that preamble, I have next to nothing constructive to critique in this video. Shitty timing on my part, eh?
The show was pitched clearly in Week 1, the writing and acting is strong (I saw Ryan Biel in the Santaland Diaries a year or so ago and he was hilarious), and hell, you decided to film exterior scenes in Vancouver in October, rain be damned.
So I suppose the constructive nature of these comments is telling you that I'd have no qualms with actually stating potential issues I see with the show. It's just that I'm not seeing any glaring ones. Great work guys, keep it up.
Bruce Novakowski and Ryan Biel are hilarious! Great job again this week. I'd actually really like to see all their crazy schemes for making money. I liked it from the begging and I still like it. All the best!
Funniest guys around, once again. Also, a real stand out for actually having an informative video.
Again great work Heir Heads team! Love the consistency in funny material and a solid cast to carry it. Hope you dudes and dames go all the way. Looking forward to see what's next.
You boys always bring the funny. Can't wait to see what you have for next week's challenge. I know I should be focused on what the guys are saying but wanted to take a moment and say I'm always impressed with Cedric's work!
Erin from Bike Cops here! Just wanted to tell you guys that I'm loving your stuff, super creative and funny! Can't wait to see what else you guys come up with:)
Like the characters.
Thanks Erin! We're all really big fans of Bike Cops! I won't be satisfied unless you guys are in the Top 5!!
nice work boys!
Great transitions and pacing. Nicely done...and funny.
This show is hilarious and I could easily see it winning even though I am really rooting for another contender. I am a big fan of Ryan Biel and will eagerly await further shows.
It's John Lithgow's SON!!!
This is great hahaha :)
-Mo from Megadawn
Hilarious stuff. Shades of Arrested Development!
Great camera techniques and well paced.
As always Gents, excellent work. I really enjoyed it and laughed a little harder the second time I watched it. Hurry up and win this thing (or else!)
funny, funny, funny. i like what i see so far. keep up the comedy.
good stuff, as has come to be expected.
Ryan Biel is so hilarious.
Every week my family and I gather around my sisters laptop to watch the newest Heir Heads video. I don't know what would happen if they stopped. It's the only thing that is keeping us together.
Tgis is goid stuff
Vancouver projects represent! Looks really good, guys. Keep up the good work. If Offline doesn't win, I hope it's you guys or Graham Clark.
Ryan Biel is awesome! I feel like this type of comedy could really make use of more silence and physicality.
Love it, love the performances, the pacing. Best of luck to you guys, let's show Canada what BC comedy is made of what whaaaaaat!!!
Just a passing reference to a dick joke in here. A nice relief compared to the other "popular" teams.
