A quick glimpse of the DÉPFLIES in their natural habitat, waxing poetic and dreaming while dwelling in the "Dép". When the regulars show up, we see the wild madness that permeates the banal nature of the job, and the spirit of “anything can happen”.
Fave 144 Views 2730I really like the concept and you have my votes. Just watching the videos now and brings back memories of growing up in Montreal and visiting the corner Depanneur on a regular basis. Great way to integrate French and English in this show!

I think this describes the perfect community... it really is a Utopia :)
Not something I'd watch because I don't know French and really dislike reading subtitles in anything
Great to see the bilingual video with subtitles, very good
Engageant....mais...saisissant? Et..c'est Moncton aussi - ou Nouvelle-Ecosse, or anywhere there's francophone and anglophone cultures in Canada! Good work - there's a solid concept here - but project (in looking at a couple of the items from DepFLIES) is still in the rough draft stage, in terms of dialogue and character development.
Nice video guys.. I think this is the only project I've seen that come at it from the bilingual angle? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway I really like the concept and you guys have put together some great videos. All the best making it into the top 15!
Here are my picks for the top 15, no particular order:
Human Town
Heir Heads
Depflies
Wharf Rats
Just Passing Through
Goons
Blackwater Music
Randy Justice
The Lease
Grahm Clark: Wilderness Man
Roll for Damage
Toronto After Dark
Killing It
Scratch Tracks
Dope Ass World
I'm not from Montreal but visit often and I too like the bilingual presentation; it's very much part of the culture there and happens seamlessly without even giving it any thought. I like the natural way it's presented.
Enjoyed watching. Being from Montreal and growing up there it certainly brings back many memories of going to our local Depanneur for many a treat.
Great introduction to the show concept and funny too! Unique and creative rolled into one package! Great characters who bring out the funny! Thanks for making me want more!!
Bonne idee de la belle provence
Just seeing your show concept now and loving it!!! Have to watch all your videos because you've just earned a new fan! Crazy bunch of talent in this one and each is so unique! You are all funny! Thanks so much!
It seems to capture life in Montreal. Very unique and fun. Love the characters!
I like this - however I don't get a sitcom feel here, it's actually something much more interesting and dramatic. As a stand alone, I think this would be a very interesting series. Not sure how it will fair with the more laugh-out-loud projects, but your project is very unique. I'd suggest the CBC pick this up regardless.
Really funny. It captures a part of this culture that is unique to Montreal and the mix of unique humour that can only come in this setting. Great concept.
Brilliant concept in both official languages. This so captures life in Montreal. Well done Danny Belair and team.

lol very funny!
Great can't wait to see more.
Great teaser, loved the subtitles and the acting was great to, glad I finally got around to watching your video, gonna watch the rest now
I wish you guys ran the Dep when I lived in Montreal. You guys are right at the top.
Crazy in the best of ways. Is Canada ready for a truly bilingual show, they better be!
Ummm
Great teaser. I love the bilingual element and how you show the true dep life
i do not understand what this show is supposed to be about.
unique! and witty.
Hey, pour toé sont gratos! Belle époque two!
Winnipeg is the new Prague?! Lays chips are made in Denmark?! Hilarious AND educational.
Looks amazing! I'd watch this on TV
This has potential. I just hope you go in the right direction and make sure that your characters have a story that people can relate with.
this is awesome! I will put ALL my votes on you guys!! Good luck!
funny
J'ai ete seduite par les chips aux danoises... Pis par la reponse de peter... Jai vraiment hate de voir le prochain!!!
Not sure why I waited until now to watch this one, but it's one of my favourites so far. Liked the pace, it kept me interested.
I like the concept, reminds me of K.S.;s Clerks with a bilingual twist which is very cool. I can see where it opens the idea of different type of people going to the Dep and how the clerk interact with them, love that aspect and can see that in the future. Very interesting.
Not a bad concept, but this pitch doesn't make me want to see more.
Everyone hung out here when we were young -- especially in the summer sitting on the curb smoking cigs, adding the liquor we lifted from our parents cabinet into our Mr. Slushies... good times.
Love that it's bilingual!!!!!
Didn't find this funny at all, sorry.
I guess you nerd a hug
You had me at Winnipeg is the new Prague. Very nice, bonne chance!
Incredible!
DéPFLIES FOREVER!
Got the chance to see Episode 8 of Depflies last week. This group of pro performers are at the peak of their game. The material was spot on and the performances were top notch. I'm willing to give my vote to a group of committed artists who have already produced 16 hours worth of hilarious material any day!
As a side note: I never thought a bilingual show could be so seamless for both anglo and francophone audiences alike but both me and my super hot Quebecoise tinder date were suitably impressed! Great work guys ;)
WHOA! J'aime ça!! Tellement drole, tellement fresh! J'ai hâte de voir
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Fingers crossed to see it on CBC!
This show seems the smartest out of all the projects I watched.. And BILINGUAL to boot! As someone from New Brunswick, this makes me feel at home.
