Week #1 Show Teaser To Hunt a Monster...

What do you do when people disappear at a local motel? Who do you call when you've been fondled in the woods by a strange beast? Ava, host of "To Hunt A Monster..." is on the case. Tasked with shooting a reality show where she attempts to catch obscure monsters on camera, Ava will do anything to succeed, dragging her inexperienced crew along the way.

Synopsis

Ava was the hottest investigative journalist in town until her ego got in the way. Now no legitimate News network wants to work with her. Desperate to rebuild her career, she accepts the only job she can find: Ava is now the host of a paranormal investigation show on a digital cable channel. Each week she must lead her inexperienced film crew, Max and Nav, on a hunt to catch obscure monsters on camera. The problem is, they start succeeding. Ill-equipped to deal with threats like monsters, demons, and cults, the gang is in over their heads and will be in constant danger. However, that will not stop them. They are determined to make the show a success. But it will cost them.

I can see where you're going with this, and I think it's good. I'm not sure it hits the nail on the head precisely, but that's what the budget is for, right? I'd love to see this with more of a Cinéma Vérité Blair Witch feel, but combine that with the skillful snark of a show like Psych. Good concept, but the method needs a little work. For example, why are our heroes standing around in a clearing yelling about Bigfoot's erection, rather than hiding behind a stump and whispering about it in a state of shock or arousal?
