Pete on the streets of Vancouver to find out how people would react to having an ethereal Cameraman videotaping them 24/7. My Cameraman - Real People. Real Actors. Real Comedy!
Fave 0 Views 31This is a case where you know you're life is a movie but no one else does. Josh Connors must relive ten years of his life, now with the burden, or chance, depending on how you look at it, to correct those parts of his character that have, shall we say, failed to impress those around him as well as those above...far above. Thank you, Ben, for the well wishes and interest. Cheers! Peter.

A very interesting idea, that's for sure! Good luck on snagging the wild card, and looking forward to what you come out with next.
Thanks, David, you know who won the World Series this year...a Wild Card team. Never give up! Cheers! Peter.
Haha amazing stuff guys. I like all the characters, perfectly cast if you ask me. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this project for sure, very unique to all the other projects. The posters are amazing too, really gives us a good glimpse of what to expect!
Thanks, Shamsiah, for all your wonderful compliments. We are looking very much forward to bringing it to you! Cheers! Peter.
Amazing work. super funny stuff and I truly believe you guys will be top 15 with some other great teams. All the hardwork and dedication this team have presented is extremely outstanding.
Thanks so much, BB, your words to COMEDY COUP'S ears! Cheers! Peter.
Would there be other characters in this series too? Congrats on making it this far, this competition isn't easy and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. GL
Yes, there are other characters. Monty is the dishevelled, bumbling ethereal Cameraman, Josh Connors is the arrogant commercial director who's life is recorded 24/7; Josh Connor's hapless Mother who has a never ending conundrum dealing with Josh's accident prone Dad; Kayla, the bubbly, sex kitten who lives in the same building as Josh and is always trying to seduce him and Josh Connor's obsequious assistant - an officious sycophant willing do do anything for his boss. These characters represent the central cast, but there are other characters who will appear as the series unfolds. And of course, each episode will include a Real Unsuspecting Person 'URP' caught on hidden camera and encorporated into the plot line. I want to do this show right, and that means honing the script and CASTING IT with top notch comic actors who will breath the appropriate life force into the main characters. Think of any of your favorite sitcoms, now consider what they'd be like if the cast was different. Casting is huge...and a critical part of bringing a sitcom to life and to Funny. Thank you so much, Kate, for your question and your good wishes as we hurtle onward and outward into the Comedy Coup Galaxy. Cheers! Peter.
My Camerman Hype It video was pretty good. The repetitive joke got a laugh at first but was overdone. It's an interesting topic with good potential. The best of luck in this next round. It's so great to see all this Canadian talent displayed
Thanks, Catherine, for the thumbs up on the video and interest in the our project, and the well wishes, it's equally great to have folks like yourself give us feedback and encouragement, very unlike the real world of show biz...where oft it feels like you're operating in a vacuum. Cheers! Peter.
Hmm, I'm not sure how I would feel being taped for 24 hours, and I'm not sure how many people would be willing to sign off on that. I thought the repetitive joke was a bit much after the third time, though it was funny the first!
In this case, the character Josh Connors doesn't have a choice, the premise is we're all being taped for 'review' in the end, Josh just happens to find out about it. So we as an audience don't have to worry, we can experience the discomfort precariously through Josh. Re: the repetitive joke, I guess three times wasn't a charm for you, but at least we got one laugh. And that's how we succeed - one laugh at a time...thanks, Elizabeth, for your thoughts, observations and chuckle (s?). Cheers! Peter.
Yeah I can see the funny in this. Loved the Truman Show... not sure if you're going for something similar at all. Good luck on Top 15!!!

FREE BEER AT YOUR EVENT! nicely done I like this concept my camera man is funny, lots of humorous moments and I enjoyed watching it. I am a big self help fan myself but I think this show has great potential and best of luck to all future endeavours. Canadian comedy talent coming together is really fun to see!
Thanks, Elisha! Comedy talent coming together and free beer...it's all good. Your compliments and good vibes make doing funny stuff all worthwhile. Best of luck in all your future endeavours as well. Cheers! Peter.
This was a great level of hype! Such a fun video to watch. I found the sell sheet text-heavy and its style/typography/graphics a little dated, but the hype video is fantastic. I wonder how many people in total were spot-interviewed. I could have seen more people giving similar answers to the guy whose line was repeated. If enough people were interviewed that more of them did answer the same, it would have avoided repeating the same guy.
Hi Shandi, I interviewed a good number of people, but the question prompted many to seriously ponder the issue and convey longer answers then could possibly be used in this 90 second spot. However, I did learn that folks would find it fun to watch someone trying to wriggle out of camera view if they knew that every moment of their life was being videotaped. I'm happy you enjoyed the video, it was equally enjoyable interviewing all these great participants on the streets of Vancouvertown.
ps the repeated line was a creative choice to tie this short hype video together in a final tag line. thanks so much for the feedback and compliment! Cheers! Peter.
Well I'm already tired of the guy who will masturbate less.
That's not surprising... Ah, the lengths we'll go for a laugh. No pun intended. Thanks for being here, Kathy! Cheers! Peter.
Nice sell on your idea, could have used better quality of video and sound, but i guess that's part of the concept, good luck. Sell sheet looked good though
Yes...all part and parcel...thanks for the continuing feedback, Sheldon, keeps us honest. And believe me, a compliment goes a long way! Cheers! Peter.
good job on this weeks challenge.
Thank you, Carly. Your words mean a lot to us. Truly. Cheers! Peter.
I like this idea a lot. It could really develop into something interesting. I will be watching closely on this! Keep it up!
Stephen, so encouraging, thank you...and we will! Cheers! Peter.
