When the mayor's bike gets stolen, the Toronto Police bike patrol are put on the case.
View ProjectComedy is so much more than just funny dialogue. Bike Cops will make you laugh with physical, visual and scripted humour. That means using the camera as a way to tell jokes – funny pans, reveals, zooms, physical jokes… the list goes on. It’s what clever shows like Arrested Dev. and Community have pulled off. Canada deserves a show that embraces a wide range of comedy. That’s what Bike Cops is.
Fave 56 Views 1167Crisp, sweet and twisted. Wait... isn't that just like a honey crueller? Aahhhhh... I get it! True Canadian inspiration for a cop show. Make mine a double double and serve more up quick!

Haha, this one really made we laugh out loud. This project has really piqued my interest. Everything was well done from the directing, editing and acting.
Yup, lots of funny people involved in this one. I’ve just seen Week 1 and 3 from you, but would like to see the seeds planted for longer-term story arc, you know? Lots of potential, IMO.
Sounds like a fun concept with lots of Edgar Wright-esque humor. I would like to see some more of the characters and the different situations that they would be gotten in.
My Top 5 picks!
1. Wasted
2. Bike Cops
3. Roll for Damage
4.Infinite Possibilities
5. Geoff and the Ninja
Good luck in the competition guys! hope all of you on my list make it. You all have great ideas!!!!
I am a fan of how the team is promoting the project. There is really some solid work being done with these challenges. I like the "21 Jump Street" feel to the content with the mix of "Super Troopers" and "Cops." I like to potential for conflict in the show. Best of luck in the voting stage!
One of the best shows on here by a long shot. I think you guys are doing a great job and this last video is no exception. Good luck with the competition.
This is such a funny show. The actors are spot on and the filmmaking is excellent. The artwork for this show is also really well done. Can't wait to see more. Hope you make it far.
this is so well done it looks like a movie or something you guys obviously have so much experience and that gives you such a big advantage nice work on this project ive enjoyed all your videos
I used to live in Toronto so I really love the concept of this show. It's a very unique idea and I think you will go far in the competition. I have always wondered about cops that were on bikes and I am sure it is not an easy job. Keep up the great writing!!
Love this concept so
Much. Looks like good clean canadian comedy. What should be on prime time tv. Hope you guys will keep it clean and family friendly. Would be a nice change from all those horrific cop shows out there now.
This was a very funny way to set yourselves apart from the rest of the competition. It's often difficult for some to explain what differentiates them from others but you have done a great job here. Keep it up, guys!
I think your team has a very good idea for a comedy show. There were lots of funny moments, with some cute lines. It sure had me smiling the whole time!
As weird as this sounds, you guys are very likeable. It's comforting. warm and fuzzy. But seriously, you got a good thing going, and i think this could be a lot of fun to watch.
I've really enjoyed watching all of your videos; they're hilarious, well executed and very entertaining.
Well, hello there fellow law enforcers, i'd just like to say that I enjoy your videos and I think you guys have a bright future ahead of you. That said, if you ever step foot into our territory we will take you down, steal your bikes and your lunch money. You've been warned.
Love you!
Another video, and another successful one. This week 3 was definitely a treat. Tighten your chin straps!
This definitely looks like it would be a funny show! It's definitely one of the better, shows, on this website. Or I guess, one of the better show ideas. Since this is just a sneak peak.
i reallly like you guys! continue your thing , it is original and super funny. Go all the way with it , crazy action ! good luck for the rest of the comedy coup!
An entire episode of Bike Cops could revolve around catching people taking leaks in the woods in Trinity Bellwoods park. One cop on piss catching duty, another on busting the hipsters drinking their beer! Good work guys
this weeks video was pretty well done. It shows nicely what your show is about and how it will differ from other shows on television right now. Keep working.
"Do you know how fast you were going?"
Great stuff guys! We laugh so hard every time we catch your new videos! Keep up the fantastic work and we hope to see you make it all the way to the final fifteen!! Best of luck!
Some great lines; "Put the vehicle in park" Helments in the fridge is interesting too. Seen lots of cop shows over time but a little different with non motorized bikes. Opens lots of opportunities for humor.
Very funny I would like to see more
I like what you are doing and how you are doing it. Looks like you have a clear vision for what the show will bring the viewer. I love Brooklyn Nine-Nine and this gives me the same good feeling.
I'm loving this so far, it's such a nifty idea-cops on bikes! It's better than motorcycle cops, because they always get wiped out in chase scenes. Still, I'm wondering how you'll sustain interest in the concept, over time. Your acting and comedic timing is excellent. Much potential.
This video didn't incorporate what the mission set out to accomplish. It didn't show or explain how the series is different. Instead it just showed clips from the show
We wanted to show our audience how our show would be different instead of tell them (there is a description next to the video to help explain the style). We'd be doing physical gags, (arms through the arm holes) using the camera to tell the joke (panning over to the puddle of blood that Officer Spooner biked through) and the off-beat sense of humour that comes with the show (Spooner talking to his bike). Hope that helps make it clearer for you. Thanks for watching!
You guys have one of the best Ideas I have seen in this competition! Congratulations on making it this far! if my friends don't win this thing. I'm pulling for you guys for sure!
I don't see how this is a differentiator...isn't this just a second trailer?
Really slick production value though.
Read the description Ryan :) It tells. Thanks for watching!
I think this is tough because there are many police shows and also movies made about bike cops... I hope you would be able to spin it and turn it into something more unique. This video didn't really highlight how you are a differentiator in the competition or with regards to bike cops. Best of luck with Top 50!
Thanks for the feedback Kara! Check out the description of our video to read more about why we're different. Might help clear things up a bit.
Not really a differentiator but a good idea to flush out your vision a bit more, helps us in the voting public.
Plot is good but there are many cop shows. There are possibilities but more presentations will demonstrate if new Keystone Cop nonsense can be updated adapted and extended to appeal to a large audience.
I like the way you did your video. I don't think that the Toronto Police Service is going to like this very much. The girl looks very familiar in the video.
Good teaser - watched it twice to get full effect - it could be considered funny -----did I miss the coffee and donuts - or do you need a car for that........???.!!
I was sold on this after watching the teaser (that artistic snap of the towel in trying to get the consonants right was golden!) but now I'm starting to see where else it can go. How professional are they? What lengths would they go to keep their jobs? Looking forward to more!
After watching your scenes… I want more! I think the Bike Cop idea has great potential for a sustained show. The writing and the acting are funny. And even though the ‘hopeless professionals’ thing has been done before, you are bringing an original treatment. Good luck!
Great idea! Bike Cops gives ya an awesome way to get into funny situations! I would watch this in a split second! I can just see it now has they have to crack a grade school gang bike stealing crime ring!! Good luck guys!!!
I love this project, and you guys are really funny. I'm hoping to see bike cops make it really far in this competition. That being said, I'm not sure you quite addressed the the challenge for this week. However, it wont matter much in the future when you guys are hopefully getting optioned for a show.
Super troopers on bikes..
what happens in the winter?
are you guys bike cops in toronto?
I like the concept you guys have going. The brand is looking cool, bike cops have always been a well of good comedy. Canadians can relate. Funny stuff!
I like the setup here. Not sure you've really told us what makes your show different, but thanks for giving us a bit more of a look into the storyline and a couple characters. I like the goofy take on a the cop genre. How will you make it uniquely your own?
Really cool. Nice idea, dope production values and such. I can't wait to see what storylines will emerge out of the set-up like if they get into some serious crimes like murdering
Welcome to the force. lol.
The description on the right side of your video isn't reflected very much in the video itself. I'm not seeing nearly the amount of physical and camera-related gags that there should be given the concept, while I have seen it in the similarly themed "Campus Law," which is also in this competition. They're drawing inspiration from Edgar Wright, and you can see it in their trailer. You have to make us believe you can actually pull these things off, and not just tell us that you can.
I totally agree with you, Jas. This concept deserves way more time than just a minute and a half of physical and visual humour; something around 22 minutes probably. Surprised you didn't catch the homage to the tool-up sequence in Edgar Wright's Hot Fuzz at the end of our video. Thanks for the feedback!
Cops on bikes are hilarious and there are so many great ways to make fun of them! Am I right guys? Keep up the good work.
You are absolutely right! Thanks for watching, Mike.
I like Bike Cops. Could be funny. I'd like to know even more about the characters. To me, that will be what makes or breaks a series
Bike Cops will be all about the characters. Stay tuned and you'll get to meet the rest!
This is looks fun. Best of luck!
Qui n'aime pas un bon show de polices! The kind of concept and characters that never gets old.
Great potentiel for a tvshow. Si j'étais producteur - j'aimerais produire cette série!
Love these
This show looks awesome! I would watch this program. Who doesn't like a uniform? Also these people are very attractive. I'm wondering if the bike shorts get any shorter?
Thanks Dee! And we could go shorter, but for some reason short-short-shorts sounds weird.
Good stuff, how can ya not make fun of Bike Cops......
Possible tagline for the show right here?
Fun and funny, enjoyed the acting. Looking forward to the next Bike Cops.Keep up the good work.
This looks really amusing. I love how the camera is used as part of the humor.
I would watch this as a slapstick full length comedy movie. As a weekly tv show, bike cops messing up investigations would get old quick. A movie messing up a big case, I'd watch that.
Very entertaining guys. We've got the right crooked cops on the job here. Keep it up fellas
lol
You get it ;)
YOU HAVE THE POWAH!
Possible character catchphrase? Why thank you.
♫ Bike cops, Bike Cops, what you gonna do when they come for you ♫
This is actually pretty amusing XD.
Can we get you to record yourself singing this and send it to us? We can give you producer credits.
every time i picture this show i think of that scene in "21 jump street" where jonah hill and the other guy are chasing those dudes on their bikes in the park, remember?
How could we forget!? 21 Jump Street is directed by two of our favourite directors: Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. They also did The Lego Movie, which we love. They're amazing at including physical and visual humour into their already hilarious scripts.
Funny stuff, but I'm not sure it holds my attention for that long. If I got the sense that the stakes could be heightened in every episode - then I'd certainly tune in.
Heightening the stakes is what comedy is all about! We want to put our bike cops in all types of scenarios, yes, even mundane ones. The common thread is that they turn every situation into a high stakes episode of hilarious police work.
Really funny ! =)
Thanks Kayla!
Congratulations boys!
Thanks Madeline! We appreciate it.
Quirky funny and very tongue in cheek humor love it LOL and the sounds keep it rolling
That's what we're going for! Thanks for watching Rita.
Too funny guys. Love it when Ted's making sounds when putting on his uniform. Concept is great and the acting is excellent. Keep it up!
As always, very funny stuff. It's nice to see other characters and the jokes are as always on point. Can't wait to see you guys next week.
Like!
Bike Cops!!! team Charlie and Yoni like your style! Thanks for being rad! ARREST US!!!
I'd definitely watch this show if it won. I love the concept and the comedy. Very high potential from this group. Keep up the great work, guys.
I like the comedy in this, and the quirky idea of bike cops. It seems like a show that I'd watch. Good luck tomorrow with Top 50, I'm sure you'll move on!
Quirky is our kind of comedy! Thanks for watching Kate.
I really enjoy the acting and comedic tone to the submissions so far. Playful and fun, with good delivery of lines and solid performances with dry humour. Best of luck to you in Comedycoup.
hahahahah!
Team Bike Cops, this is amazing video editing and sound (and voice overlaping) and acting and...what? ... I didn't say hilarious yeeet? It's extremely HILARIOUS!!! You people are so talented! Yes, the differentiator is included, best performance yet, so much stuff in just the 1:30 minute, amazing!
I totally love it and I think I'd like to see how a 30 minute show of Bike Cops would look like! Definitely, way to go team!
See you in top 50!
Thanks so much for the feedback Bogdan! We'll keep bringing the funny in the Top 50.
There is an awful lot of cop and robbers type shows already, so it is nice to see something with a slightly different twist to it. Good luck in your venture as I would like to see more of your concept.
Thanks Bill!
I've been a fan of this show since week one. Super funny, likeable characters, and lots of potential. I'd definitely like to see more from you guys! Good luck in the rest of the competition!
Totally fun stuff guys.. The energy is great and your acting is right on the money.. The concept should be a wild one to work with..
Edgar Wright FTW!
yup, good concept, good execution; there are a lot of tough competitors out there, so best of luck guys !!
Montreal needs guys like you! Love your work! Great concept and execution of week 3 challenge! I have a feeling you guys will make it to the top!
I like you guys ! keep up the good work !! and best luck in the competition !
Hahahaha, Just discovered you guys, it is a funny show and good concept !
keep up the good work guys, good luck
The show looks very funny. I like the characters. I also like the physical comedy aspect of the show.
Can't wait to see more. I'm sure you will make the top 50. Seems like a well thought out show. Good
luck to you all.
We love the physical aspect of comedy, it's something too many shows are missing these days. Thanks for the comments Bonnie!
Wife told me to "come to bed". Told her I was watching 'Bike Cops'. Showed her Bike Cops. Neither of us have slept in days. Lost our jobs. Lost our apartment. Lost the respect of our parents.
But we still have Bike Cops.
12/10.
You're putting a lot of pressure on us to win this, Will! We'll do our best, for you and your wife.
Please have a special crossover episode with Motorcycle Cops!
Thiis is hilarious! Acting, writing, the potential to carry a full series--and I love that Week #3 got rid of the OPP shirts on Toronto police! Here's hoping you make it into the Top 50.
We're glad you noticed! They were annoying us too. Thanks for the feedback, Don! We also believe this show has tons of potential and we can't wait to show everyone more of it.
This looks pretty funny, I love the concept of a bike police force. I'm glad to see such a varied cast, not just a bunch of white dudes doing stuff, which is a big plus in my book.
The best comedy comes from having a great mix of people! When we created the cast for the show, the first word that came to mind was 'eclectic'. We knew the squad was going to be a hodge-podge of misfit cops that ended up in Bike Patrol for one reason or another, so it's great to show that variety as part of our videos. Thanks for watching and commenting Wendel!
Great concept. Looking forward to more. And yeah, interactions with real Bike Cops/stories from them would be a great addition.
Truthfully our first interaction with an actual Bike Cop was to ask if they could still have wicked-sweet mustaches on the force, and yep, they can! So that's why officers Spooner and Styles have been sporting those dashing 'staches. First thing tomorrow we're going to go find some Bike Cops and convince them to regale us with stories of their time in the line of duty. Thanks for the suggestion Brian!
I like your video. Great acting too. I didn't get the body part. I didn't find too many laughs here but maybe I missed something. The idea is different and I hope you go onto the next round. Good luck!!!
Spot on Liz! And thanks for the comment. I think Sharon's right though that we missed out on some jokes because of the voice-over. We're very excited to show off more of our comedy chops in our next video, so stay tuned!
Hey Sharon, as a viewer, I missed the body bit at first too. Then I spotted the clue in the scene where Spooner has run through the crime scene with his bike and 'ruined everything'.
Sweet writing on the part of the Bike Cop crew with the synchronized voice over! Think I'll apply as their forensic advisor now.
This is how I want justice to be from now on.
Nice work guys, great to see fresh material that's just as good as the last video. Keep up the great work, look forward to seeing what you all do next.
Thanks James! We're excited to show you what's next.
I thought it was clever at the ending how you were talking to your bike. I don't have too much to comment on besides that it would have been nice to have shown some behind the scenes pictures of the crew of your show. Understandably that was an optional request, but I think the more you guys get yourself shown and the more jokes you manage to throw out there the higher your chances will be for making it just that much further. Good luck guys, I've liked all your videos so far!
Thanks for the feedback Christina! You're totally right that we should be showing off more of our cast and crew. Our producer posts some great behind the scenes stuff on the Bike Cops Instagram, check it out! instagram: bikecopstheshow
I watched all 110 of the videos last night. When Bike Cops showed up on my screen, I was excited to see it and...rightfully so, it was funny. Definitely some good laughs. - Shirts
Thanks Justin! We're all big fans of Shirts Comedy! We better see you in the Top 50! :)
This looks great! Fantastic job! Cheers!
The concept of bicycle cops handling the kind of calls we see on the headier cop dramas, and then playing that contrast for laughs, is a good one. It's all about respect, right? ;-)
I like the idea for your show and I was just curious if you have any funny stories of interactions with real bike cops that might have inspired this idea or that might inspire future episodes?
Bike Cops The Show has great legs! - I'm mean it has staying power. Truly enjoying the filming, producing, acting, writing and how you have combined everything into a fun-to-watch comedy. Keep peddling .... and we'll see you in the top 50!
You guys got a lot going for you. The things is I feel you are concerned that you have to make things outrageous to be funny. The fact is some of the calls cops get sent in for are more funny for their mundaneness. How they deal with them makes them charming, ironic, funny. I wonder if you might benefit from a bit more of that in your vids because style wise you are really strong. Anyhow... just a few words of encouragement. great work
Great points, Ron. We wanted to show off some of the more outrageous physical and visual jokes our show can pull off (we love that type of humour), but you're right that it also has potential for being funny without being over-the-top. We're excited to show you lots more. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the constructive criticism Ron! We want to explore both sides of the Bike Cops life, and we definitely will in upcoming videos!
Such fun, keep them coming.
Love it!! Very talented indeed!
Thanks! :)
It was awesome to see more elements of the show since I've been a big fan of Bike Cops since day one!
My only piece of constructive criticism is to try and stay a bit closer to the demands of the challenge since this played a bit more like a trailer for the show than a video explaining what makes it different. I only say this because I want to see you guys in the top 5! Keep on being hilarious, Bike Cops team!
Thanks for the feedback Dylan! We got a lot of comments from viewers asking to know more about the show, so this week we wanted to reveal a bit more about the structure and plot of the first season. It meant we left out talking about the style and personality of the show - but we did include it in the description of the video! Thanks again for watching, we'll do our best to be in the top 5!
This just keeps getting better. Loving it!
Thanks Alexander! Can't wait to show you Detective Lauren Bell's perspective...
hahaha... love it guys. Great work!!!
Great job guys!!!
A
Thanks for watching!
Funny. I do like the visual comedy. I hope the rest of the missions for Bike Cops are just as funny. Keep up the good work guys, looking forward to more to come. The actors are good to, good comedians. Good luck, hope you advance to the top 50.
The Cutbacks may have given you the teensiest little shout out in our week three video.
Oh my goodness guys! That's such an honour, we wheelie appreciate it;) Keep bringing that funny!
Nicely done boys!
Thanks Jessica! I'm going to consider myself one of the boys! ;) Charlie and Yoni was hilarious! Well done!
Hey Guys, great concept. I love cops and I love bikes, I also love uniforms. Really enjoy your bunch gang stuff as well. Looking forward to see where this goes.
It’s a bike, it’s a cop, …it’s a bike cop!
Cool to see some of the other characters and the bike jokes are great. Acting as the suspect’s arms was a great gag and a fresh take on a classic bit.
hmmm..nice job. and best of luck
As always you guys are hilarious! This is such a great concept for a show. I always look forward to seeing what your will come up with next! :)
Crisp, sweet and twisted. Wait... isn't that just like a honey crueller? Aahhhhh... I get it! True Canadian inspiration for a cop show. Make mine a double double and serve more up quick!
Funny. I like funny.
This could easily go in the direction of just mall cop jokes.... for bike cops, but it seems to try to head in a nivel direction. Stay away from generic "you're not really a cop" jokes.
This film has so much potential to be a cult classic. I can imagine this to be a Canadian Classic even as a television series running for years...
Very funny. I hope you guys do well in the competition
Not gonna lie. I actually said "well this one looks like it will suck." as I put it on. I kind of feel bad now. I see a solid set of characters with great dialogue being played out in an original concept. All in all I am about stuffed full of crow. I hope to see more of these guys in the future.
Hey, cool idea, it would be sweet to have some real dense action stuff that actually incorporates bikes in a real awesome way!
Fun and funny - enjoy the acting. Am anxious to see what's next. Keep up the good work.
YAY GILLIAN!
Definitely want to see where this is going. Is it going to deal with the day to day, or wind up being an "in over their heads" situation?
i love bike cops.
The Bike Cops love you Brian.
