Scratch tracks is awesome!! I absolutely love it
I don't have to go to out the window to the gym and the other day of any kind to me I love it when so you can get a job at a time time when the sun is out of a new sudden I have to be a able to do with a new song is the so much fun with the same time and I have to no one is going to to be a able good for to the long run the risk ballot in a statement from the start and It will be the best way to the point game is the best most important thing to say that you can get a the best of luck all to the
Best wishes to the top 55 contestant winners and congratulations on having your efforts recognized in this CBC Comedycoup contest. Good Luck to those making the top 15.
Love the angle you took with your videos and representing Canadian music! Would be great to see other Canadian artists and bands make cameos!!
Real cool idea, im feeling a sort of christopher guest vibe and digging it. gotta love grandma!
Hmm. Yes, I think lots of stuff about the making of art can be VERY entertaining. And musicians can be super funny. There’s a curious potential for great cameos here.
Endless potential with this one. The Grandma character is hysterical. You guys have put together a really talented team and I'll be rooting for you! Best of luck!
"Scratch Tracks fever!!" Congratulation on making Top 55! Top 15 is within your reach - great job so far. Keep up the great work and never stop dreaming! Anything can happen!
Can't say enough about how proud I am of you guys! HarbourTone Productions has been such a creative space throughout this competition. I love the characters and the concept! This one has the warmth to engage an audience and the cool factor that would have a viewer congratulating him or her self for watching.
wowsers. nothin like it. i really appreciate what you're doing here. youve got serious game and i have become a big admirer. you deserve to win this contest. you are definitely welcome to entertain me any time of the year. keep it up and be the people youve always wanted to be.
My Top 5 picks!
1. Wasted
2. Bike Cops
3. Roll for Damage
4.Infinite Possibilities
5. Geoff and the Ninja
Good luck in the competition guys! everyones been doing a pretty good job considering the time constraints to film each challenge.
the grandmother is hilarious, i think this has great potential, and the characters are gonna be well etched out! nice approach, and great talent behind and in front of the camera
Love the Grandma character and the young girl narrator. I think this idea could really work. I would watch it I think. The acting looks really good and it is well produced. Good Luck.
Well the final hours of the vote to get to the next level are approaching now so it is up to the voters now to get you there. Best wishes to you for success and nice work on getting through to the top 55 for all those able who were able to get that far.
fantastic talent , keep going!
I love this show, keep going everyone
interesting idea! hope it carries through with some interesting characters and unique story lines.
Really enjoying the clips, hope my votes help move you to final 15!
Good luck to you this week! Lots of tough competition out there. May the best teams win. Congrats on making it to the top 55 and good luck again in the top 15!
I like the hopeful musicians being promoted and the diversity in the cast as well. I like the idea of going back home because you didn't make it somewhere else. I think people would relate to this show. Best of luck!
I always like a small town show and a return to your hometown show on top of that feels like it could lead to lots of laughs.
Scratch Tracks - Hopeful musicians, 3 generations of misfits. Real characters, feisty. Groovy music in the background..Have fun with this week..
i think its an interesting premise that allows for a wide range of different characters. definitely unlimited potential in that regards. however i just feel like i dont relate to the idea im not sure why
I like the studio setting and the diversity in the cast as well. However, I've seen the "small town" idea done quite a few times. Keep up the good work though, hope to see you guys in the top 15!
i think its an amazing looking cast , people look really working hard and that is great, only, i dont really think it is that funny and i feel like it is kind of a over used 90's style sitcom thing that i dont really dig. good luck though.
I like the project, the way the video keeps moving and the talent. Good premise, different setting and ripe with a lot of comic potential. This is worth a top 15, in my opinion.
the setting is really adding a lot to the motion of this picture. perhaps including a bit more musical and graphical effects can help you guys go a long way
WKRP for the 21st century - just might work
Woooow so many projects set in a small, rural town! Which baffles me, considering 80% of the Canadian population lives in an urban setting. Seems odd that so many projects are aiming for such a small portion of the demographic.
You did a great job representing your story for this week's mission. You seem to have covered all of the requirements. Although there is potential here, I'm not sure if I'd tune in weekly for this show, it falls a bit flat for me. Congratulations on top 55 and good luck.
Sounds like a great "art imitates life" concept. Looking forward to hearing more from grandma!
Nathan is a character I could identify with. Lost man hoping to make a living doing what he knows best.
He is the less humorous person and looks like he can be flustered easily.I hope he joins in the shenannigins in the recording studio. If its finding the "ONE" musician to leap his career back to fame and fortune we just have to see all the "in-betweeners'" that will rock this show to CBC's ComedyCoup top 15
Musicians ARE narcissists! Lmao. Definitely Top 55. This, like the project where my votes are going, has great potential, and may sway a couple of my votes here.
this is definitely a top 15 contender and i would certainly be surprised if it isnt in there. however, i dont know why, but the humour just doesnt do it for me. i find it a bit cheesy and lame. but it is definitely well done
Definitely top 55 contender but is it worthy of top 15? I feel like the tried and tribulations of small town heroes is so passe. Its a funny concept for sure and I know everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame but I feel like this is a boring concept. Wish you the best
This is great! While the character types are familiar, I'm interested in their story, and I'm interested in the real life element to this comedy. This is definitely one to watch for me. Loved the 'groovy' button at the end.
The story line just keeps getting better! There is so much potential with this sitcom idea. It has appeal for all ages of audience. This sitcom idea is worthy of the top 5 contenders. What a great creative team. Keep the ideas coming!
Great story line. While it applies to mostly small town and rural communities, it could easily be adapted to bigger communities also. Fact is, scratch tracks is about life struggles and developments. It represents multiple generations, men and women and their efforts to succeed and make thei place inlife. The successes, frustrations, failures. Well done!
Great job on this weeks mission! I think this project has a very wide appeal, and I wish you the best of luck in making the top 15!
Just went the the Old Man Ludecke concert live for Scratchtracks and it was a wonderful intimate concert held in the sound studio ...that was so worth going to...even got his new cd! Another great idea...thanks guys....
This clip filled my viewing time for the last 90 seconds plus the additional 15 seconds of CBC filler.
Great stuff. Love the way you NAILED this week's mission. If I was a journalist, I'd have all I need for a bunch of stories, and then some if I interviewed.
Gotta support the east coast and music! Like the concept.. good video. Good luck on making the top 15!
Good Luck!
The musical comedy is not dead, and this might be the show to prove it to Canada!
Thanks for the video and concept. Interesting and would like to see more. Bring the entertainment, acting and characters each week and I'll be waiting. Good luck in making it to the next round.

Love your idea, it is original and comical! Good luck!
Good luck. You have worked very hard and comedy coup has a big debt to pay to all the teams that participated.
Great concept. Fabulous potential for great musical entertainment, character development and hilarity rolled up together!
I like the concept, especially the revolving door of musicians. The east coast has so much great music, it would be a highlight of the show for sure. Good luck to you guys.
Nice!
Cool
Great stuff! Characters have depth and appeal and like the fact that multiple generations are represented here. This, the small town connection, endless possibilities for story lines, good music & musical surprises should make you guys a shoein for top 15!
great job here guys, i can see you've put a lot of work into this, many a Saturday all-night spent editing i can see, funny it's almost like i've been following you guys from the start. but seriously, best of luck it's a great idea.
really fun concept guys. I'm so glad that i came across your video this week. congrats on getting into the top fifty five of the videos. best of luck and keep up the good work.
I love this vid because you outlined exactly what the setup is for the show. Looks like the acting is good and the concept has been well thought out. Nice work in this week's mission - best of luck this weekend. From - your friends at Fruit Farm.
Thank you guys; I like it is a good idea of a recording studio in a small town basement, but different people different strokes. It is not for me really. I don't really like the 'free' grandma. Best of luck to your team, though!
Cool, cool, cool. We're so pleased with our 90 secs this week. We think we nailed the mission AND gave fans an insider look at the complexities that will make this show tick season after season. You know, one thing we didn't go into was the potential for quirky characters coming out of the woodwork in the small town. Our bible and script do that, but too bad fans can't see it. 90 secs is just too short.
Great Job - enjoyed this explanation of the characters and the concept. Hope you make it to the top 15. I've watched a lot and this one is in my top 5 favourites. Good Luck!
Great job guys. Week five is just as interesting as the first teaser...and I LOVED the first week. Good luck ! Hope you get in the top fifteen!!!
Another great job but I expect no less from you! Good luck!
Good work!
I love Canadian music and Canadian TV. Combine the two and you can't go wrong. Congrats on getting into the top 55 and good luck fighting your way into the top 15. Competition is tight (which keeps things interesting) but I would love to see at least one of the music entries get optioned.
Excellent hype video. Not only do you reveal what makes these characters special to you, but you show what makes this concept special: the inclusion of real musicians and their music, to be interwoven in each new episode. I agree with others who note that thanks to the characters, this sitcom appeals to all different generations. Here's hoping "Scratch Tracks" goes all the way to the Top 15!
I like your hype video! And so did my dogs! We all like you! Looks like a nice group of people. Count me in.
Great that you're representing many generations. Well done on getting this far and I wish you all the best with the Top 15. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.
Can't wait to see this show go real and feature some fantastic musicians, famous or otherwise.
Great job guys and congratulations on making it to week 5, looking forward to seeing what week 6 brings. Best of luck
great job with this video in explaining what it is. The three generational aspect always works and I think you got a good formula here. Best of luck to you guys.
Great and informative hype. And a cool concept. Good luck with the top 15
Like the concept - love the music aspect!
Good job hyping your project, I think you guys have something here, that Woodstock rocking Grandma will be cool to watch. Love the idea of showcasing some Canadian musical talent as well. Good luck to you in competition
Watched all 55, you are in my top 5.
I also like the three generation aspect of appeal, the small town setting and the great music. Please go forward to the next level.
Nice job of showing us the characters, the actors behind the characters, their stories, and thought/idea behind the concept. You address the who, the what, the where, and the why more creatively than lots of other Week 5 videos. You've used images, interviews, graphics, and footage that give us tons of information and a feel for the show and it sounds pretty good. I'm curious to see where what's next for you.
Great video, really loved it. Great idea for a show with many interesting possibilities. Looking forward to seeing lots of great musicians. Good luck.
It is easy to understand the concept for your show, in addition it harness one of the classic engines for situational comedy (the family). If the writing can deliver this show could definitely work. The musician angle will be tough, but as long as you are not too dependent on it it should work.
Thanks FH. Some episodes, we'll spin fictional stories around real musicians. Others will just provide great music. Always, it's a sitcom and the characters/stories are the focus.
Really great job with your hype it video. I really like how you break down your three leads into their appeal (really great for media) and what they represent (really great for audience). Smart video, clever execution. I like what you've done.
Groovy baby!
I've followed your projects throughout the competition, and this project does a good job of telling the media what the contest and show is about. Gramma's character seems a little unbelievable this week, but good acting helps carry it off in the teaser and other week's projects.
Going forward my votes will go to storyline, substance and ability to deliver a sustainable, CBC suitable, comedy series. Curious to see if you can deliver that.
this was a pretty good 'hype-it' for scratch tracks. it was easy to follow, clear and concise. i like the idea of following 3 generations, bridget, nathan and grandma. very clever because it will appeal to almost everyone. good luck scratch tracks.
Brilliant! And it keeps getting more and more so You can see the endless possibilities & laughs for more & more episodes with these characters! May you soar into the top 15!
A premise with a lot of promise.Your sell sheet was very informative and your pitch did make me want to review the rest of your efforts. I will be hoping to see you do well in the vote for the top 15.
I know I'm bias, but what I really like about this whole Scratch Tracks pitch is that you are trying to sell an idea for a great CBC sitcom. I notice that some of the other groups videos are used as resumes - he/she/they are actors looking to create a job for themselves. It kind of alters their focus. You guys are always bang on! You have an idea and you're doing a great job of selling it. Kudos! I smell Top 15 in your future.
Groovy. I like the idea of featuring music and sounds like a good cast of characters. Their stories are varied enough to keep things interesting and there's plenty of potential for comedy. Good luck.
First I said: 15 projects to comment for week 5 fans' badges!???! Outrageous!!!
But now I say: thank you, comedy coupe - it's how I got the chance to know this great team - Go "Scratch Tracks" You guys are wonderful, talented - I love the place, the ideea, the lovely and young grandma' and how funny you people are! And hardworking! And pretty! And binding so well together! Did I say pretty? Yes, pretty! :)
Greatly done, Nova Scotia! (man, I really have to visit this ... spellbound realm !!! :)
Best of luck and really hope to find you in top 15
Great work again everyone! Always nice to see the Nova Scotia teams really bringing it! Excited to see where you go from here, and best of luck with the upcoming voting period!
Groovy. I like this idea and we could get to see some great Canadian music acts in the mix. Good luck Nova Scotia. There's lots of talent on the east coast. I'll be watching this one.
Grandmas is so funny. This project is very different from others! Congrats on top 55 and best of luck with the voting this week for top 15!
This is a nice idea. The clash of generations is real. Love Grandma. This would be something I would tune into. Congrats on the top 55 and good luck.
The diverse ages of your cast will have a wide appeal as well as all music lovers. Good luck to you.
Some generation Under the same roof yessss.Ilike the concept of it all,the characters are great and fun to Watch, what i loke is that those characters really exist.Goog luck to all.
Nice sell sheet- tidy, and has all the pertinent information laid out in an easy to find fashion.
Great to hear a bit of the story behind your interesting concept. Love that it's based on real life... they say write what you know and life writes stuff better than you can make-up sometimes.
Look forward to hearing/seeing more of the musical part because music moves people and at the end of the day as artists that's what we all want. My only tip is to keep it interesting while the music is playing (which you have). I'm not sure if audiences have the attention span for a full segment of just music these days ;)
Good luck this weekend and hopefully see you in the Top15!
Darcy - WingMom.ca
Looking forward to more of this. I love all these characters already...Looking forward to all the music as well. Music and comedy..... .Throw in a flower child and you guys have it made. See you in the top 15.
Hey, guys. I liked this video a lot. Your concept sounds really funny, and I like that it's based off a real business- very cool. I'd like to see more from you guys. Good luck in the rest of the competition!
Great characters, great perspectives. Granny takes it to the extreme and Bridgett gives it the grounding. Nathan is so real, many main stream Canadians can relate, cause they know that guy. Keep it up!.
Great work. Best of luck
You did a great and funny job of explaining your concept. Congratulations on all the article success you guys have had as well. Your live event also sounds really entertaining. Great work guys!
Great job guys!! I love all the characters they are very colorful . It is so great to have a character from the 60s. Lots of humor there. Looking forward to seeing more of that and all the hopefuls doing there thing!!
Good job fellow Nova Scotians…….I really want to see that studio of your someday. I have an idea for an animation called "the angry ovary" that maybe I could voice in Shelburne! Good job!
Great job reaching such a broad demographic! Love the studio concept with all the local talent! Keep up the good work!
Love the idea of getting more Canadian music and musicians on the air. Would love to know how you plan to incorporate them into each story (rather than just having them play music every week, will they get to be a part of the high jinks?)
Looking forward to hear Old Man Luedecke this Friday...I will be there !!
Darcy is right - the small town recording studio setting presents an gold-mine of opportunities for plot developement and the show-casing of Maritime talent. Good job of explaining it all this week
Love it! So nice to see our local talent getting out there!
Good reveiw of all the great things this sitcom will offer and as you said, it covers three generations. I really love the mix of personalities. I , for one can identify with grandma!! What an excellent opportunity to hear some great maritime talent. Keep up the good work!
good job on the sell sheet it gets all the info across nicely. The video also does a good job on showing the talent of your team and what your show is about.
This video did a great job of explaining what the project is. Thank you, because I did not get it on a previous one. I am sure it is appealing to many out there; it is just that i have a hard time with Woodstock Grandma. I wish you well, the idea is great!
Got to love Grandma the FLOWER CHILD, everything seems to be coming together nicely for you guys, videos are doing a great job of selling the idea. The sell sheet looks great and I will try and catch your webcast Friday evening, good luck,
We took this mission seriously, talking directly to the media, giving them story angle after story angle - small town studio as inspiration, 2 time JUNO winner Old Man Luedecke with a sick quote and support of the concept, intro to the team, actors and characters and why these complex characters make a unique and compelling concept. A concept as rich as a gold mine for stories, characters and a satisfying kind of funny.
Well done on this one guys!
