Keep it cool people!
This was the weirdest, zaniest, craziest thing I think Ive seen on here and Im not entirely even sure what that was....but I like it quite a bit.
This show will need some really great writing. To have an entire show just watching 2 people do weird stuff that may or may not comment satirically on current events could get really tedious. But there's a lot of room since dytopia is always a great time.
I think it's an interesting concept but these two characters seem too annoying to be able to carry an entire series. It seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors but no real substance. The outfits are scary.
Good luck during this week of voting. Keep up the solid word and I'll be looking forward to seeing what you guys do next
love the psychotic smiles. There's something about this show that is almost realistic - like that movie, Idocracy - how fucked up the future may be if we keep on our current path.
It's hard to see how this could be a full half-hour special and not just a web series. It's definitely different. Very very very very very different. In terms of being different form the rest of the competition, you win.
this is one of the weirdest videos on here...i like it. so funny so dark. quality of video is really really well done. id watch for sure.
You had me at 'Good Morning, Tonight'. When you can make someone laugh even before the trailer rolls, you've stumbled onto something wonderful. Also, I dig that the humour is darker than most other projects on the Coup. I'm gonna keep an eye on you guys! :)
Wow, well this certainly looks...different. Not a fan of the gross stuff, but I like the costumes and the off-the-wall nature of the show. I won't join the riot? Or should I? Good luck!
I really really love the insanity of this show. Look alike a riot. One of the most original looking of the shows. Would be interested in seeing more for sure.
Looking good, but there's just one thing I'm not completely clear on: do you want us to join the riot?
Whoa! Well... that was... different! Mission accomplished for this week! Creepy, funny, great to look at! You have me curious to find out more about your project, so well done! Good luck with your project, hope you get lots of votes!
Every new glimpse makes me wonder....what is going on here?!?! Very intriguing.
This is so weird and I love it o.o
Good acting, that is for sure. Good luck in the competition.
Ok. I'm not sure where to start. Good Morning Tonight definitely caught my interest. I really like the catchy title. The makeup and costumes were interesting and really stood out. I'm not too fond of gross out stuff but it was well done.
Aside from Good Morning Tonight being really funny, and really well written - it's also beautifully made. I am definitely into it. Keep up the lovely work, gang!
Brilliant idea. I'm loving these.
I love how this project is essentially what a news show from The Capital would be from the Hunger Games universe. I'm assuming that's where the idea came from. I like what you've done with it better than those movies have.
This makes me uncomfortable in all the right ways.
We are all about your selective discomfort! Thanks, Ross.
As humour is a personal thing I judge these projects as to whether I believe it can appeal to a wide enough CBC audience base to attract more than a niche market commercial sponsor and with evidence of potential to generate a weekly series worth of material. Good luck but it’s not for me.
Thanks for wishing us luck, Brian! All corporate oversight is provided by our sponsor, Syrus Incorporated.
I dig this concept LOTS. Been watching for all 3 weeks, and, lo and Behold, now I have to drum up at least a hundred words in order to qualify for badgers or something, so I'm toss my two (well, hundred) cents in the ring -- I'm very curious to see how this concept jumps from sight gags and funny weird to some semblance of a plot driven structure -- is that in the cards? Or is this simply going to be funny weird every episode?
Hey Jeffrey! It's going to be a little of both. The morning show format has plenty of room for weirdness and guests, but we haven't told you much about the Riot or Syrus Inc, yet, so there's also narratives that are running a little below the surface of the show that would emerge over a season.
Nice concept! good luck
Thanks Megan, we really appreciate it!
I'm really excited to see where this show goes. It makes me think of a cross between Welcome to Night Vale and the Relax scene from Zoolander. This clip showcased mostly visual humor when the text of your initial video was so strong; more crazy dialogue please!
I just stopped the presses on our 2 hour mime special. More words it is!
Apparently I have to use 100 characters, but I don't know how to say otherwise that I love this, I love you, I would like to be your spouse, and you are all beautiful creatures of god.
Hurray! We're all getting married!
I like how this makes me feel uncomfortable. Like, the good kind of uncomfortable. You guys are p. neato.
Thank Melissa! You are p too. Maybe even P!
u guys are the besstssststst
Despite how much the idea of home dentistry grosses me out, I'm looking forward to full length episodes. The effort put into this is evident; you guys are awesome!
You're awesome, Kristin! Thanks for your feedback and we can't wait to deliver those episodes to you. Don't forget to throw a vote or two our way and check out @GoodMorn2Night for fun and promos!
I just stumbled upon this show today and I gotta say it is pretty insane but in the best way possible. I think I have to see more to really grasp it so hopefully you advance!
Thanks Ben! The best way to help us out is to vote and share with your friends! Plus, check out our twitter for more delicious insanity.
I'm rooting for you guys!!
Thanks Amelia! We're rooting for you! Do what you love in life! Or don't! Just be you!
I don't know exactly what Halle Doodlebrox was dumping all over herself (and I don't really want to find out...) but if it can give me one of those unsettling perma-smiles, I'm in :D
Also, Matthew Esteves has never looked prettier
That's all we ever want to do, Stephen. Just give everyone perma-smiles!
Refreshingly high in concept annnd funny. Keep it up!
Thanks Karen! We definitely will!
From an Art Direction perspective this is amazing, and both of the actors are super funny. I like the smart and critical concept but I have my doubts that the show would be able to last for a whole season. I think actually if you added other elements (guests, music) it could work though! Looking forward to seeing more!
Hey Erin! Thanks for you feedback. We are definitely intending on adding guests, and even musicians. Don't forget to check out our live tweet on Sundays at 7pm to get a feel for the show!
I love the look of this show and the joke is so clever and weird and wonderful, but I'm not sure so far what a full episode would look like. My impression is that it would be great as a regular sketch on some sort of sketch show, or as a series of web videos... I'm not convinced so far in its strength as a 30-minute program or as a regular series. Will there be any story arcs or longer narratives? I'm worried the concept will grow stale with too large of a dose. Hopefully future videos will prove me wrong though! Awesome stuff. Loved the weird baby shower video last week, too.
Hey Stacey! Thanks! We have a bunch of great, weird storylines that would play out over the arc of the show and we're really excited to show them. The best part of a morning talk show is watching the hosts play off each other. Right now you can get a little taste of it through our twitter feed! Thanks for watching, and for your feedback!
Please release a desktop wallpaper that is a close-up on Ekum & Halle's nightmare-ishly toothy grins so I can seer them into my brain.
And keep up the crazy awesome work!
I would be lying if I didn't say that some .gifs are in the works.
Sorry, I just don't get it. An interesting concept of a news show(?), but you guys spend more time trying to be funny than just going ahead and doing the show idea. Or did I miss something??!? Sorry if I did...
It's cool, Lisa. You don't have to apologize! We do spend a lot of time being funny. Thanks for the feedback!
Your team is definitely funny and unique. Great acting. Also love that there's a female lead character/team member - I find a lot of projects are lacking there.
UGH JULIE MARRY ME. (P.S: We hope to have a slew of diverse people on the show, right now production limits us to our close friends, but we know some amazing comedians of all stripes we'd love to pay.)
This is one of the funniest and freshest concepts in the entire comedy coup! I feel like I'm watching a bizarre blend of some mutated post apocalyptic marketing campaign for the Hunger Games and I actually think your idea is infinitely better than what I just regurgitated. Please, please, please make this regardless of the coup. I'll help...I can shovel coal with the best of them!!!
Pssssst: Rumour has it we're not only going to make this, but there might be a live show component. Best thing you can do is share it with as many people as you can. Get the word out! Plus, check our twitter @GoodMorn2Night for the most recent news and updates, and fun promos.
i like the actress' smile, she def has that crazy creepy smile down ! mmmmm, little weak on the male side though, i can see the hesitation in your creepy smile and also need to be creepier in your eyes too, she nailed it
Thanks Tracy! I think the hesitation you're seeing is just Kyle's terror at having to sit beside me.
Good job at...GIVING ME TOOTH NIGHTMARES! (but also, good job)
It's weird because I still have SO MANY TEETH.
That's a pretty good concept you got there, news from the future has potential for sure. It wasn't in my taste of humour but I can understand the funny. Good luck!
Thanks Brandon! I love that phrase. "Taste in humour." I prefer a pickled taste in humour.
the show is too weird for me, though i really like the actors ! very very good acting
Thanks Mark! You can hire us anytime!
I think the hunger games style clothing is really cool, however I'm not sure I could ever handle 30 minutes straight of this. Kudos on the wardrobe design though!
Thanks Jenn! Our costume designer is Hanna Puley, and she's amazing. You want to check out her other work in Dad Drives and Space Riders: Division Earth online!
Gonna be honest here...... did not get that at all. I fully understand your concept of future-dystopia-thing.. but that video had s bit of a 'try-hard' feel to it. I know you can do better than that!! Good luck.
Thanks JoAnne! We appreciate the feedback. As a morning show the only thing we try hard at is brightening your day! And we try so hard. The hardest. Harder than anyone. We could tell you horrifying stories about our sacri
Using news show concept has lots of potential and the makeup with the eye focus was very attention grabbing. Not quite sure ingot the funny in some aspects.
Thanks Maureen! We're definitely here to grab attention. Using all means necessary! Makeup, costumes, eye focus, eye clamps, duct tape, tractor beam, you name it!
Sorry, couldn't watch that video all the way through.
That's okay, Henry! We've been watching our videos of you for hours! Days, even!
You guys have a very creative idea, I was just a little grossed out by some aspects of this video that I think were meant to be funny. It's definitely clear that you guys are unique, and a little frightening too. Good luck with the competition!
Thanks Christina! We're sorry we grossed you out and frightened you! We promise we're just here for the laughs. The unending, hysterical, near-sobbing laughs.
Those smiles will haunt my dreams.
I think it's an interesting concept but these two characters seem too annoying to be able to carry an entire series. It seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors but no real substance. The outfits are scary.
You guys should do this forever but if you dont may I have that blazer?
I will watch all of this, its bonkers. Keep going forever.
This looks crazy and weird and different...all good things.
Excellent use of teeth in this film. Spoon on teeth? I would have never thought to use that. Excellent use of future guitar. Flashing information vis a vis the "Riot"? I could use more of that. If you gave me a list of elements of this film, I would say of each of them that I enjoyed it and wanted to watch it.
The happy scared me a bit hahaha but it made me want to watch the week one vid to see what it was about..! :)
Dreams are great! We had a dream about puppies the other day! All of us. The same one. The puppies just stared. Unmoving.
I love the look of this show and the joke is so clever and weird and wonderful, but I'm not sure so far what a full episode would look like. My impression is that it would be great as a regular sketch on some sort of sketch show, or as a series of web videos... I'm worried the concept will grow stale with too large of a dose. Hopefully future videos will prove me wrong though! Awesome stuff. Loved the weird baby shower video last week, too.
Funny and different
Great graphics!
